Hygiene

Remove Toilet Seat. Position the hole at the end of the support bracket (1) on top of the left hole of the toilet bowl where the seat is attached. Insert the bushing (threaded brass tube)(2) through the support bracket hole and the left hole of the toilet bowl where the seat is attached. From underneath the toilet bowl, place metal washer (3) and nut (4) on the bushing to secure the unit in position.
Push the Bidematic® lever in all the way, to center the shower head of the spout in the middle of the toilet bowl. Then tighten the nut (4) onto the threaded brass tube (2). Also tighten the nut (5) that fastens the support bracket (1) to the main body of the unit. Before tightening the nuts completely, make sure the shower head is approximately in the center of the bowl when in use AND under the rim of the toilet bowl when recessed.
Do NOT over-tighten the nuts!
Place the plastic washer (6) on top of the right hole of the toilet bowl where the seat is attached. Reattach the toilet seat with the original bolts and nuts (one bolt goes through the threaded brass tube (2) and the other one through the plastic washer (6).
Note: If the Hot/Cold water model is connected only to the cold water, use a tieaed 1/2″ brass cap to ightly close the unit’s hot water intake.

Suggestions for the care and maintenance of the Bidematic®

To keep the chrome finish looking new:

  1. after using the Bidematic, it is advisable to dry off any water drops left, particularly if the water is hard (alkaline).
  2. use NON-caustic cleaners, for example, do NOT use cleaners with ammonia. When turning off the Bidematic” turn (close) the valve(s) just until the water stops flowing. Over-tightening the valve will shorten the functional life of the neoprene seal inside the valve.

SUGGESTIONS FOR CONNECTING BIDEMATIC” TO WATER SOURCE

COLD WATER CONNECTION

  1. Close (turn off) the cold water stop valve (usually on the wall behind the toilet) to which the toilet tank water hose is connected.
  2. Flush the toilet to empty the toilet tank.
  3. Disconnect the toilet tank water hose at the stop valve (Expect some water to come out of the hose).
  4. Attach the extender tee to the stop valve. Make sure that the upper free outlet of the extender tee remains upwards for easy reconnection of the toilet tank water hose.
  5. Connect the loose end of the toilet tank water hose to upper outlet of the extender tee.
  6. Connect one end of the cold water supply hose to the Bidematic”s cold water intake and the other end to the available outlet of the extender tee.
  7. Turn the cold water stop valve back on.

HOT WATER CONNECTION (Only for the Hot &Cold model)
If the bathroom sink is close to the toilet and on the same side of the bathroom, then the hot water stop valve under the sink can be the direct source of hot water for the Bidematic, using an extender tee and the correct length of flexible hose. If not, a hot water stop valve will need to be installed next to the toilet by somebody with sufficient
plumbing skills and knowledge. Common sources of hot water for this hot water stop valve are: 1) the hot water stop valve under the bathroom sink; 2) a hot water line under the bathroom floor; 3) a hot water line in the bathroom wall.

Once the hot water stop valve is available, simply connect one end of a hot water supply hose of the appropriate length to the Bidematic”s hot water intake and the other end to the hot water stop valve.
