Frequently Asked Question

How much space can it heat?****

This heater uses 900 watts on low and 1500 on high. ALL electric heaters put out the same amount of heat PER Watts regardless of the physical size of the heater. YES, this will heat a large room but will heat a small room much faster. I just got this heater and love it, I also have several radiator heaters. they are all good.

Could someone please tell me the length of the cord? Thank you so much!****

6 ft.

will the heater turn off when it reaches a setting in the thermostat? thanks****

The heater does turn off when it reaches the appropriate dial you set. However, there are no degree marks so you’ll need to experiment with which graphic you prefer to set. I’m in the south so I set in the middle. Watch your return time as I’ve bought a few and one lost heat element and only rotated to one side but Amazon replaced it immediately. It’s a small compact heater /fan and my best purchase in place of older high towers not cost-efficient.

How much does it cost to operate?****

It’s very easy to estimate how much it costs to run a 1,500-watt electric heater per hour (or per day, week, or month). Pretty much everybody can do it.

Is it supposed to turn or oscillate? Mine does not turn even when the dial is switched on****

It’s supposed to turn; the middle switch is supposed to control oscillating.

So, the “thermostat” doesn’t adjust by actual temperature in numbers?****

No.

What’s the highest temp it goes to?****

There is no temp on it. But it will make you sweat if blasted on double high.

Can this run all night?****

It will stay turned on and run all night if you are comfortable with it doing so. There is no automatic shut off switch. I might suggest buying a plug-in timer if that makes you more comfortable.

Is this cost-efficient? Plan on using it for a few hours a day, did your electricity bill increase by a lot?****

If you use it every day, for extended periods, you will see an increase in your electricity use, which will translate to an increase in your bill. I took the path of using masking tape to block all the outdoor winter air leaking into my apartment around the sliding doors and windows to reduce/minimize the need to use the heater. You do not want to use this heater as your primary heat source.

How many watts does Low Heat use?****

900W.

Is this UL rated?****

This unit is ETL listed (Edison Testing Laboratory, as in Thomas Edison), it is equal to UL (Underwriter’s Laboratory). Most heating/ventilation products tend to be ETL. On top of this it has a tip switch, which apparently is not required for UL or ETL.

How easy is it to clean?****

Yes, just needs a light dusting now and then.

Where is it made?****

according to the box, it’s made in China, I might add it works very well for the price. I use it in my office, keeps me toasty!

Is it UL listed?****

Yes

What is the exact length of the cord? The older answers vary from 3 to 6 feet in length! If you purchased this recently, please measure n answer.

As best as I can measure it is 6 feet. It’s plugged in behind furniture and that’s the best I can do.
