• Base Kit includes Side Board (x2), Bottom Board, Fishing Rod
  Holder, Top Brace, Reel Support Brace

• Includes 1 1/4 Pocket-Hole Screws

Product Usage Instructions

STEP 1: Set Up Your Pocket-Hole Jig

1. Use Material Thickness Gauge to measure material thickness
   (3/4).

2. Follow manufacturer’s instructions for setting up and using the
   jig.

STEP 2: Drill Pocket Holes in Top Brace

1. Clamp Top Brace (2) centered in the jig.

2. Drill two pocket holes, one in each drill guide.

3. Rotate Top Brace and drill two pocket holes in the opposite
   end.

4. Flip Top Brace, clamp onto long side, and drill three pocket
   holes across the long side.

STEP 3: Drill Pocket Holes in Bottom Board

1. Clamp Bottom Board and drill one pocket hole using the outside
   drill guide.

2. Repeat on the other edge of Bottom Board.

3. Rotate Bottom Board, clamp the opposite end, and drill one
   pocket hole using the outside drill guide.

4. Repeat on the other edge of Bottom Board.

STEP 4: Drill Pocket Holes in Rod Holder

1. Clamp Fishing Rod Holder centered in the jig.
2. Drill two pocket holes, one in each drill guide.
3. Rotate Fishing Rod Holder and drill two pocket holes in the
   opposite end.

STEP 5: Drill Pocket Holes in Reel Support Brace

1. Clamp Reel Support Brace centered in the jig.
2. Drill two pocket holes, one in each drill guide.
3. Rotate Reel Support Brace and drill two pocket holes in the
   opposite end.

Note: You can use most Kreg Pocket-Hole Jigs for this project. Be sure to set up and use your jig according to the manufacturer’s instructions, and follow this guide for proper hole placement. A Use Material Thickness Gauge to measure material thickness (3/4″).
B Set jig material thickness to ¾”.
C Set drill bit stop collar to ¾” (loosen and tighten stop collar with Hex Wrench).

STEP 2: Drill Pocket Holes in Top Brace

A Clamp Top Brace (2) so it is centered in the jig. B Drill two pocket holes, one in each drill guide. C Rotate Top Brace and drill two pocket holes in the opposite end.

D Flip Top Brace and clamp onto long side so that one drill guide is approximately 1″ from existing pocket hole on one end.
E Drill three pocket holes across the long side; one at each end and another approximately in the middle of Top Brace.

STEP 3: Drill Pocket Holes in Bottom Board

A Clamp Bottom Board so outside drill guide is approximately 1″ from the edge. Drill one pocket hole using the outside drill guide.
B Move the jig to the other edge of Bottom Board and repeat A.

C Rotate Bottom Board and clamp the opposite end so outside drill guide is approximately 1″ from the edge. Drill one pocket hole using the outside drill guide.
D Move the jig to the other edge of Bottom Board and repeat C.

STEP 4: Drill Pocket Holes in Rod Holder

A Clamp Fishing Rod Holder so it is centered in the jig. B Drill two pocket holes, one in each drill guide.

C Rotate Fishing Rod Holder and drill two pocket holes in the opposite end.

STEP 5:
Drill Pocket Holes in Reel Support Brace
Note: If using a Kreg Pocket-Hole Jig 320, follow the instructions in the user manual to twist apart the jig and remove the spacer.

STEP 6:
Attach Bottom Board to Side Board
Tip: Adjust drill clutch for driving screws.

A Clamp Bottom Board to one Side Board using the reference lines to align the pieces at the correct angle.

B Use #2 driver bit to drive two 1 ¼” pocket-hole screws.

STEP 7: Attach Reel Support Brace to Side Board

B B Use #2 driver bit to drive two 1 ¼” pocket-hole screws.

STEP 8: Attach Fishing Rod Holder to Side Board

A Clamp Fishing Rod Holder so edge is flush with edge of Side Board.

B Use #2 driver bit to drive two 1 ¼” pocket-hole screws.

STEP 9: Attach Second Side Board to Assembly

A Clamp Second Side Board to assembly, using reference lines to align pieces.
B Use #2 driver bit to drive two 1 ¼” pocket-hole screws into Bottom Board.
C Reposition clamp to Reel Support Brace.

D Use #2 driver bit to drive two 1 ¼” pocket-hole screws into Reel Support Brace.
E Reposition clamp to Fishing Rod Holder.
F Use #2 driver bit to drive two 1 ¼” pocket-hole screws into Fishing Rod Holder.

STEP 10:
Attach Top Brace
Note: Clamping is optional in this step.

A Align Top Brace into assembly so it is flush with the back of the end pieces and snug against the Fishing Rod Holder.
B Clamp Top Brace to assembly.

C Use #2 driver bit to drive seven 1 ¼” pocket-hole screws into Top Brace.

STEP 11: Finish It

A Use paint, stain, stencils, wood burning kit, and more to add personal touches.
