This vacuum cleaner is intended for the wet and dry cleaning of floor and wall surfaces.
This unit is suitable for commercial use, e.g. on construction sites, in industrial systems, in workshops and rental companies.

Preparation

  1. Unpack the device and install the accessories.

Initial startup

Dry vacuuming

ATTENTION

Danger due to fine dust entering

Risk of damage to the suction motor.

Make sure that the cartridge filter and, if necessary, a membrane filter (special accessory) are used when dry vacuuming.

  • When vacuuming fine dust, a fleece filter bag (special accessory, NT 50/2 only) can also be used.

Installing the fleece filter bag NT 50/2 only:

  1. Unlock and remove the suction head.
  2. Attach the fleece filter bag (special accessory) and ensure that it is fitted correctly. Illustration C
  3. Fit and lock the suction head.

Installing the membrane filter

  1. Unlock and remove the suction head.
  2. Pull the membrane filter (special accessory) over the edge of the container and ensure that it is fitted correctly. Illustration D
  3. Fit and lock the suction head

Wet vacuum cleaning

  • When wet vacuum cleaning, the cartridge filter can be replaced by a coarse dirt filter (special accessory) or a membrane filter (special accessory).

ATTENTION
Danger from wet substances
Risk of damage to the suction motor.
Make sure that either the cartridge filter, a coarse dirt filter (special accessory) or a membrane filter (special accessory) is used for wet vacuum cleaning.

  • The fleece filter bag (special accessory) must always be removed when vacuuming wet substances.
  • On completion of wet vacuum cleaning: Clean the float and container with a damp cloth and dry.

Installing the coarse dirt filter

When changing from wet to dry vacuuming, replace the coarse dirt filter with a cartridge filter and a membrane filter if applicable.

  1. Unlock and remove the suction head.
  2. Unscrew the star screw and pull off the cartridge filter.
  3. Install the coarse dirt filter (special accessory). Illustration E
  4. Tighten the star screw.
  5. Fit and lock the suction head.

Draining the waste water
Only NT 70/2, NT 90/2:

  1. Drain the waste water via the drain hose.

Clip connection

The suction hose is equipped with a clip system. All accessory parts with a nominal width of 40 mm can be connected.

Operation

Switching on the device

  1. Connect the mains plug.
  2. Switch on the device.

Cleaning mode

  1. Perform cleaning.

Draining the dirt receptacle

  • The suction duct is equipped with a float.
  • When the maximum permissible waste water level in the container is reached, the suction volume is interrupted.
  1. Switch off the device.
  2. Empty the container

Switching off the device

  1. Switch off the device.
  2. Pull out the mains plug.

Each time after use

  1. Empty the container.
  2. Vacuum off the inside and outside of the device and clean with a moist cloth.

Storing the device

  1. Store the floor nozzles, suction pipe, suction hose, angle piece, crevice nozzle and mains cable as shown in the illustration. Illustration H
  2. Store the device in a dry room and secure it against unauthorised use.

Transport

Be aware of the weight of the device during transportation.

  1. Push the device via the push handle when transporting over longer distances.
  2. When transporting the device in vehicles, secure it to prevent it from slipping or overturning in accord- ance with the respective valid guidelines

Care and service

Remove the mains plug

Changing the cartridge filter

  1. Unlock and remove the suction head.
  2. Unscrew star screw, remove cartridge filter and replace with a new one.
  3. Tighten the star screw.
  4. Fit and lock the suction head

Cleaning the float

  1. Unlock and remove the suction head.
  2. Unscrew the star screw and pull off the cartridge filter.
  3. Clean the float with a damp cloth.
  4. Connect the cartridge filter.
  5. Tighten the star screw.
  6. Fit and lock the suction head.

Troubleshooting guide

DANGER
Danger of electric shock
Injuries due to touching live parts
Switch off the device.
Remove the mains plug.
Suction turbine does not start up

  1. Check the socket and the power supply fuse.
  2. Check the mains cable, mains plug and float on the device.
  3. Switch on the device.

Suction turbine runs, but the device does not suck

  1. Switch off the device and wait for 5 seconds. Switch on the device.
  2. Release the jammed float and clean it with a damp cloth. Check float for freedom of movement.

Float closes suction duct

  1. Empty the dirt receptacle.

Suction power decreases

  1. Remove any blockages from the suction nozzle,suction pipe, suction hose or cartridge filter.
  2. NT 50/2 only: Change the filled fleece filter bag (special accessory).
  3. Clean the membrane filter (special accessory) under running water or change.
  4. Change the cartridge filter.
  5. Only NT 70/2, NT 90/2: Check the drain hose for leaks

Escaping dust when vacuuming

  1. Check that the cartridge filter is correctly fitted.
  2. Change the cartridge filter.

Water leaking when vacuuming

  1. Release the jammed float and clean it with a damp cloth. Check float for freedom of movement

Customer Service department
If the malfunction cannot be corrected, the device must be checked by the Customer Service departmen
