Q: How do I activate the warranty period for the machine?
A: You can scan the QR code and fill in the machine registration form to activate the warranty period. If you do not register, the warranty starts from the date of shipment.
Q: What should I do if the machine needs to be stopped temporarily?
A: Follow the instructions in the manual to stop using the machine properly and ensure safety during the shutdown process.

Safety instructions
- The appliance cannot be used by children from the age of 8 years and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or received instruction on the safe use of the appliance and realize dangers attached to it.
- The appliance should be set up where use and maintenance are permitted to trained personnel only.
- Children must be monitored to not play with the appliance.
- The area of service must be accessible only to people with necessary knowledge of proper hygienic and safety practise to follow.
- Cleaning and maintenance, made by user, mustn’t be carried out by children without supervision.
- For cleaning, cleaning frequency and maintenance see the relevant chapters in this manual and in the related user manual of the machine.
- Do not leave the packing elements (plastic bags, expanded polystyrene, nails, cardboard, etc.) within the reach of children, as these elements are potential sources of danger.
- If liquids inside the machine freeze, leave the coffee machine in a place with a minimum temperature of 20 °C for at least 1 hour before switching it on.
- Do not obstruct or cover the suction grilles, dispersion grilles, drain outlet, or drip tray with any materials (i.e, cloths, towels, etc.)
- Never put any vessels filled with liquid on top of the appliance.
- Improper installation can cause damage to people, animals and objects for which the manufacturer cannot be held responsible.
- Installation and first start-up must only be performed by an Egro service technician or trained Egro representative with due regard to all local installation regulations.
- The equipment must be installed in compliance with applicable federal, state and local plumbing codes.
- Install the machine on a fl at, stable, dry, and water-repellent surface (laminate, steel, ceramic, etc.) away from heat sources (oven, cooking stove, fireplace, etc.) and in conditions in which the temperature does not fall below 5 °C. KEEP WARM.
- The appliance must not be set up in areas where water tubes or high-pressure cleaners are in use!
- Do not leave the appliance exposed to environmental elements or place them in damp rooms such as bathrooms.
- The water pressure must be between 0.1 and 0.6MPa.
- The ambient temperature must be between 5 and 35 °C.
- The maximum inclination of support surface must be below 5° to prevent overturning. During installation make sure that the machine is perfectly fl at.
- Should the water supply tube need to be lengthened, a neutrally coloured web wound pressure tube must be used. The internal diameter of the extension tube must not be smaller than the one supplied on machine.
- The distance between the appliance and the nearest wall must be at least 4 cm (air circulation). There must be sufficient space left above the appliance to allow the bean hoppers to be filled.
- A water supply faucet and a non-return valve must be fitted, readily accessible, at the front end (building side) of the water supply tube.
- The support surface shall be flat, dry, stable and as high that the appliance top surface is more than 150 cm from the floor.
- The main tubes must be rinsed out before being connected so that no dirt particles get into the appliance. Used gaskets and tubes for connection to the water supply are not allowed.
- Use only genuine spare parts in order to avoid compromising the safety and proper functioning of the appliance.
- If replacing the main water supply hose, be sure to use a new certified hose. Do not use old or previously used hoses.
- The appliance should never be submerged partially or completely in water.
- Do not clean the appliance with a water jet.
- Make sure that there are no cups with boiling liquid positioned in front of the front door before opening it.
- In an emergency, such as fire, unusual noise, overheating, etc., take immediate action, disconnect the power, and contact customer service.
- Before replacing components or approaching parts that move in use, switch off the machine, disconnect it from the mains and zero the pressure in the boiler.
- A qualified electrician must make all electrical connections.
- Before connecting the equipment, check if the data on the machine nameplate corresponds to your electrical power supply.
- When in doubt, request a detailed diagram of the supplied power from a qualified electrician.
- A power switch (main switch) or, for machines with a power supply cord with plug, an electrical socket must be placed near the appliance and easily accessible.
- For the electricity supply, the information listed on the model tag must be carefully consulted!
- The means for disconnection from the supply mains, having a contact separation in all poles that provide full disconnection under overvoltage category III conditions, must be incorporated in the fixed wiring in accordance with the wiring rules.
- The power supply must be provided with the following safety devices: an efficient grounding connection; a section of conductors suitable for absorption capacity, and an efficient grounding leakage protection circuit breaker.
- Adaptors, multiple sockets and/or extensions must not be used.
- If the power cable to the appliance is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, a technical service, or by a person with equivalent qualification in order to prevent any risks.
- When positioning the appliance, ensure the supply cord is not trapped or damaged. Do not place multiple portable socket outlets or portable power supplies at the rear of the appliance.
- CAUTION – Risk of fire and electric shock. Replace cord set only with manufacturer’s cord set.
- For the correct use of the appliance, refer to the user manual.
- For the correct cleaning procedure of the appliance, refer to the user manual.
- Keep the packed appliance in a dry place, not exposed to environmental elements and in conditions in which the temperature does not go below 5 °C.
- Do not place heavy items on the packaging. Do not stack more than three items of the same kind.
Installing the coffee machine
This operation must strictly be conducted only by qualified technical personnel! Observe the saftey instructions!

Consult the drilling template before the installation

Attach drain tube to machine

Place machine on a level and stable surface and ensure minimum clearance of 4 cm (1.6 inch) at the rear

Balance unevenness with screw-in feet
-
Rinse water main before connecting the coffee machine

Check water hardness: see note on page 38

Connect fresh water tube
Do not bend the tube
0.1 – 0.6 MPa (1.0 -6 bar), 5l/min, > 2 l/min at 0.1 MPa stat.
For locations with pressure under 0.1 MPA (1.0 bar) provide a booster pump
For locations with pressure above 0.6 MPa (6.0 bar) provide a pressure reducer

Connect drain tube to open drain
Ensure inclination for drain -
Attach drip grid and tray
Be sure drip tray is completely inserted -
Remove grounds drawer, remove pouch with accessories

Move slider in open position, place hoppers and move slider in closed position

Install the fridge, if applicable
Read the related manual! -
Connect to the power mains

Switch machine on

Insert grounds drawer and close front door

Follow on-screen information
Machine is ready to use, when shown on screen -
Rinse the group for 30 sec. Repeat 20 times
Coffee sensor must be disabled -
Deliver steam from the steam wand for 30 seconds (x6), if available

Take 4 liters of hot water (water wand)

Scan QR-code and fi ll in the machine registration form to activate the warranty period
The installation can also be performed without scanning the QR code; in the absence of registration, the warranty starts from the date the machine is shipped
Installing Undercounter Grounds
This operation must strictly be conducted only by qualified technical personnel! Observe the notes on saftey instructions!

Consult drilling plan before installation (see page 22)

Drill holes in surface

Place the coffee machine over the hole for the under-counter waste
-
Open the door, disassemble machine’s front cover and remove the funnel inside
-
Remove brewing group
Pay attention to the wiring -
Install tube in the Undercounter Grounds support
-
Place under counter waste bin under counter
Ensure correct positioning -
Re-assemble brewing group
-
Insert the funnel, assemble machine front cover and close front door
-
Set the volume of the undercounter container via software
Installing PRO Milk module
Choose PRO Milk option when ordering the coffee machine! Only technician can enable refrigerator via software (Technical Menu > Machine > Info & configuration > Configuration > Milk module: QMP)
For best results: store milk at ≤ 5 °C (≤ 41 °F)
Not clamping or pulling tubes

Place fridge on the left side of the coffee machine
Ensure enough distance -
Open left side panel of the coffee machine

Pass tubes and cables to the right side of the fridge

Afix the PRO Milk module to the fridge

Pass tubes and cables through the hole on the left side of the coffee machine

Connect milk tube(s) and rinsing tube
The tubes and cables are labelled
Not clamping or pulling tubes -
Connect electrical cables

Organize cables/tubes properly to avoid clamping or damaging them
Connectors must be positioned inside the machine -
Close coffee machine housing

Connect fridge to mains

Switch on the fridge

Enable the refrigerator via software
Before setting the milk recipes, make sure that the milk inside the fridge has reached the indicated temperature

Log in to the restricted area as «Technician» before selecting the «Calibration» function from setting menu

Perform the following calibrations one at a time:
Grinders – Milk – Milk foam – Powder – Water -

Daily cleaning
Do not use abrasive tools! Use cleaning agents suitable for cleaning coffee machines available on the Rancilio Group spare parts portal and follow the instructions on the machine display!
The «Cleaning» function without password is only available if it has been enabled by the Manager

Select «Cleaning» function from setting menu
Log in to the restricted area as «Opera-tor» before selecting the «Cleaning» func-tion from setting menu -
Select desired cleaning (page 2) and follow on-screen information
Recommended cleaning blinks in red -
Clean the outside of the spout with a brush

Clean housing, drip grid and drip tray with a damp cloth, and the drain hole with the brush provided in the packaging

The outlet is dishwasher safe

Move the outlet in the cleaning position

Lift outlet cover

Press the clips inwards, move outlet down-wards and take out from support
-
If present, remove powder tube and pull down
If fitted with powder module -
Clean with the brush provided in the packaging

Pull clips outward and press the upper part upward
-
Soak separated parts over night in cleaning solution and rinse thoroughly
-
Put outlet together and lock
-
Insert powder tube from below and secure
-
Insert and lock outlet into support
Caution: do not damage the o-rings and pipes -

Weekly cleaning of the hoppers
Do not use abrasive sponges and detergents or solvents! If cleaner is required, follow the instructions on the package! Not allowed to be placed in dishwasher

Open front and pull the hopper unlocking lever forward

Remove all hoppers

Remove hopper lid
-
Empty the hoppers
Never mix different blends -
Clean with a damp cloth Hoppers need to be completely dry

Reattach the hoppers lock them, fill coffee beans and powder, and reattach hopper lid
Stop using the machine
Only a qualified person is allowed to disconnect the machine from the main
power supply!
Final Stop: Cut off the power supply cable. Consign the machine to authorized
companies for its disposal

Perform the daily cleaning and empty the boilers
Software procedure for emptying steam boiler
Screw on bottom of coffee boiler for emptying coffee boiler -
Take off the bean/powder hoppers, empty and clean them

Clean the machine with damp cloth

Unplug the machine

Close water tap and disconnect it from the water mains

Cover the machine and place it in a dry room, not exposed to environmental elements
PRO Milk module
Recommended installation width
Water hardness
The hardness of the water supply must be about 5 °dKH, 9 °fKH or 89 ppm,
(German, French degrees of carbonate hardness or parts per million). If these
values are not respected, it is recommended to use a suitable filtering system;
it is also recommended to install a 10 micron mechanical filter with
appropriate surface to the water mains.
Connect only water softener suitable for coffee machines with steam boilers.
Avoid connecting of coffee machine to a central water softening system.
Additionally, avoid connecting more than one water softening system.
Legal information
The machine is equipped with the following protective devices: complete panelling protection of all parts subjected to heat as including the steam and hot water supplier; work surface provided with grill and tray to collect spilt liquids; expansion valve in the water system and valve on the boiler to avoid overpressure; non-return valve on the water system to avoid backflow to the main water supply; thermal cut-out for heating elements, electronic safety devices.
