How To Use

Usage Instructions

Use the Tame the Mane™ much like you would use a normal brush, on wet or dry hair. Work on small sections at a time. Detangle the ends first and use short strokes.

Gently towel dry hair to remove excess water. Avoid rubbing hair with a towel— this creates split ends and frizziness.
Divide hair into manageable sections.
Work with one small section of hair at a time. Securely hold the section of hair 4 or 5 inches from the end.
Place the detangling brush in the hair just below your hand and ease it through the hair to the ends using short strokes.
Move your hand to grasp the section of hair a few inches higher, and repeat the process.
Gradually work your way up the section of hair like this until you can run the detangling brush smoothly from the roots to the ends. The detangling brush should glide easily through wet or dry hair, so do not try to force it. If you come across a difficult tangle, simply take the detangling brush out of the hair and start again. Avoid allowing the teeth to press against the scalp.
Repeat for each section of hair, until all the tangles have been combed through.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Cleaning

Make sure the unit is turned off before cleaning.
Do not immerse the detangling brush in water.
Remove any hairs from the detangling teeth.
Clean the teeth and handle of the detangling brush with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use any solvents or cleaning agents.
After the detangling brush has been cleaned, replace its brush cover

To Replace Batteries

Remove the screw from the battery door at the bottom of the handle on the rear of the unit using a small Phillips screwdriver.
Lift open the battery door.
Remove existing batteries (if applicable).
Insert two AA batteries in the direction shown in the battery compartment.
