Product Usage Instructions

Installation Steps

  1. Always turn off the power supply from the main circuit breaker first!
  2. Bend out the mounting tab 90 degrees on each corner as shown in Figure 1.
  3. Lay the fixture into a T-grid grid as shown in Figure 2.
  4. Use hanger wire to tie off appropriately according to the local building code as shown in Figure 3.
  5. Install conduit containing the line, neutral, and ground conductors to the knockout of the cover plate.
  6. Make all electrical connections to the fixture and attach the wiring access cover plate as shown in Figure 4.

Adjusting Wattage & CCT
The end users can adjust the color temperature and lumen output using the DIP switches. Each switch has 3 options corresponding to 3 color temperatures and 3 wattages. Follow these steps:

  1. DIP switches are located on the side of the fixture.
  2. Select a wattage and color temperature by sliding the switch left or right to the desired value.

Emergency Driver and Battery
For emergencies, follow the wiring diagram provided for the Emergency Battery Back-up. Always turn off the power supply from the main circuit breaker before proceeding.

Self-Diagnostic Mode
To enable or disable the Self-Diagnostic mode, follow these steps:

  • Dip Switch enable position and Learned LED load will enable the Self-Diagnostic function. ENABLE is the default setting.
  • Move the Dip Switch to DISABLE if Self-Diagnostic functionality is not desired.

Installation Instruction

WARNING

  • Before installing, servicing, or performing routine maintenance on this equipment, follow these general precautions.
  • Commercial installation, service, and maintenance of luminaires should be performed by a qualified licensed electrician.
  • For the installation: If you are unsure about the installation or maintenance of the luminaires, consult a qualified licensed electrician and check your local electrical code.
  • To prevent wiring damage or abrasion, do not expose wiring to the edges of sheet metal or other sharp objects.
  • Do not make or alter any open holes in an enclosure of wiring or electrical components during kit installation.

WARNING

  • Turn off electrical power at the fuse or circuit breaker box before wiring the fixture to the power supply.
  • Turn off the power when you perform any maintenance.
  • Verify that the supply voltage is correct by comparing it with the luminaire label information.
  • All wiring connections should be capped with UL-approved wire connectors.

CAUTION

  • Avoid direct eye exposure to the light source while it is on.
  • Account for small parts and destroy packing material, as these may be hazardous to children.
  • Risk of burn. Disconnect power and allow the fixture to cool before handling the fixture.
    • NOTICE: Green ground screw provided in the proper location. Do not relocate.
    • NOTICE: Minimum 90° supply conductors.
    • NOTICE: Specifications and dimensions are subject to change without notice.
    • NOTICE: Suitable for Dry or Damp location, Type IC.

Installation Steps

  • Figure 1 : Bend out the mounting tab 90 degrees on each corner.
  • Figure 2 : Lay fixture into T-gird grid.
  • Figure 3: Use hanger wire to tie off appropriately according to the local building code.
  • Figure 4: Install conduit containing the line, neutral, and ground conductors to the knockout of the cover plate. Make all electrical connections to the fixture. Attach the wiring access cover plate.

Field-Adjustable Wattage & CCT

The end users may adjust the color temperature and lumen output respectively by the two DIP switches. Each DIP switch is accommodated with 3 options (left, middle, and right ), corresponding to 3 color temperatures and 3 wattages respectively, which can perform the desired color temperature and lumen output combination.

Factory Settings: CCT: 5000K

  • PLT-90352: 30W
  • PLT-90353: 45W
  1. DIP switches are located on the side of the fixture.
  2. Select a wattage and color temperature by sliding the switch left or right respectively to the desired value.

Self-Diagnostic Mode Enable and Disable operation method

The fixture can be switched off by a connected wall switch. When emergency conditions (main power off), use the wall switch to turn on the fixture which will be running in emergency mode.

SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS

  • TESTING SYSTEM : The emergency battery requires a minimum charge time of one (1) hour before testing the circuit. A minimum of twelve (12) hours is required for a full charge.
