REFRIGERANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

We strongly recommend that any servicing be performed by a qualified individual.
- R600a refrigerant, this gas is natural gas with high environmental compatibility that is, however, also combustible. When transporting and installing the appliance, care should be taken to ensure that no parts of the refrigerating circuit are damaged.
- Refrigerant squirting out of the pipes could ignite or cause an eye injury. If a leak is detected, avoid any naked flames or potential sources of ignition and air the room which the appliance is standing for several minutes
WARNING
- In order to avoid the creation of a flammable gas-air mixture if a leak in the refrigerating circuit occurs, the size of the room in which the appliance may be sited depends on the amount of refrigerant used.
- Never start up an appliance showing any signs of damage. If in doubt, consult or contact Kolin Hotline.
- The room must be 1m3 in size for every 8 grams of R600a refrigerant inside the appliance.

IMPORTANT SAFETY GUIDELINES
Before using the refrigerator, ensure it is properly positioned and installed as described in this manual. Read the manual carefully to reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock, or injury. Follow these basic precautions:

- Plug into a grounded 3-prong outlet. Do not remove the grounding prong.
- It is recommended that a separate circuit, serving only your refrigerator, be provided. Use receptacles that cannot be turned off by a switch or pull chain.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Before Using Your Unit
Unpacking:

Remove all exterior and interior packing materials.

Let the unit stand upright for approximately 2 hours before connecting it to the power source. This helps prevent any malfunctions in the cooling system due to handling during transportation.

Reversible Door
Tools required : Philips screwdriver, flat-bladed screwdriver, hexagonal spanner.

To take the door off, it is necessary to tilt the unit backwards. You should rest the unit on something solid to prevent it from slipping during the door reversing process. -
All parts removed must be saved for the reinstallation of the door. Do not lay the unit flat as this may damage the coolant system.

Installing Your Unit
Moving and Placement:
- Use two or more people to move and install the refrigerator to avoid back or other injuries.
- This appliance is designed to be free-standing only and should not be recessed or built-in.
- Place the unit on a floor strong enough to support it when fully loaded. Adjust the leveling leg at the bottom to ensure the unit is level.
Positioning:
- Allow 125 mm of space between the back and sides of the unit for proper air circulation to cool the compressor and condenser.
- Keep the unit away from direct sunlight and heat sources (e.g., stove, heater, radiator). Direct sunlight can affect the exterior coating, and heat sources can increase electrical consumption. Extreme cold ambient temperatures may also affect performance.
- Avoid placing the unit in moist areas.
Electrical Connection:
- Plug the unit into an exclusive, properly installed, grounded wall outlet. Do not remove the third (ground) prong from the power cord. Contact our hotline or an authorized service center for any questions about power and grounding.
- After plugging in, allow the unit to cool down for 2-3 hours before use.

- Grounding:
- This unit must be properly grounded for safety. The power cord is equipped with a three-prong plug that matches standard three-prong wall outlets to minimize electrical shock. Do not cut or remove the third ground prong from the power cord.
- Power Requirements:
- The unit requires a standard 230 Volt AC/ 60Hz electrical outlet with a three-prong ground. Have the outlet and circuit checked by a qualified technician to ensure proper grounding. If a standard 2-prong wall outlet is encountered, it is your responsibility to replace it with a properly grounded 3-prong wall outlet.

This compartment is designed for the production of ice cubes and short-term storage (3-4 days at most) of some commercially frozen foods. To ensure optimal performance, follow these guidelines:
- Loading the freezer:
- Avoid Overloading:
- Do not overfill the freezer. Leave space between items for proper air circulation.
- Organize Items:
- Group similar items together for easy access and to maintain consistent temperatures.
- Packaging:
- Use airtight containers or freezer bags to prevent freezer burn and maintain food quality.
- Pre-freezing:
- For large amounts of fresh food, pre-freeze items in the refrigerator compartment before transferring them to the freezer.
- Labeling:
- Label and date all items. This helps with stock rotation and ensures you use older items first.
- Placement:
- Place frequently used items in the front for easy access. Store less frequently used items at the back.
Temperature Settings:
- Optimal Performance:
- A colder setting may be used for certain items, but be aware that other items in the refrigerator may also be affected.
- Defrosting:
- Defrost the freezer when ice buildup reaches ¼ inch thick to prevent damage and maintain efficiency. The freezer door is susceptible to breaking due to excessive ice buildup. This part is not covered under your warranty. By following these guidelines, you can ensure that your freezer compartment runs efficiently and keeps your food properly preserved.
CARE & MAINTENANCE
Cleaning Your Unit
- Turn the temperature control to zero (= off), unplug the unit, and remove the food, shelf, and tray.
- Wash the inside surfaces with a warm water and baking soda solution. The solution should be about 2 tablespoons of baking soda to a quart of water.
- Wash the shelf and tray with a mild detergent solution.
- The outside of the unit should be cleaned with mild detergent and warm water.
- The outside of the unit should be cleaned with mild detergent and warm water. Wring excess water out of the sponge or cloth before cleaning the area of the controls, or any electrical parts.
- Wash the outside cabinet with warm water and mild liquid detergent. Rinse well and wipe dry with a clean soft cloth.
Defrosting Procedure
- This refrigerator features a “push-button” (semi-automatic) defrost thermostat system.
- To initiate the defrost cycle, push in the red defrost button located at the center of the control knob/ dial.
- Avoid turning the control knob/ dial to zero (= off). The defrost cycle begins immediately, and when complete, the “Push Button” automatically releases, returning to normal operating conditions at the same temperature setting.
Note:
- If the “Push Button” is accidentally activated, it cannot be manually pulled out to deactivate the defrost cycle. Allow the defrost cycle to run its course.
Defrosting Guidelines
- Defrost your refrigerator when ice buildup in the freezer compartment reaches 1/4″(6mm).
- Defrosting duration depends on ice accumulation and indoor temperature.
- Speed up the process by removing frozen foods and leaving the door partially ajar.
CAUTION:
- Close the refrigerator door before the defrost cycle ends. Place the drip tray directly below the freezer compartment to catch evaporated water during defrosting.
- Do not use boiling water because it may damage the plastic parts. In addition, never use a sharp or metallic instrument to remove frost as it may damage the cooling system and will void the warranty. We recommend using a plastic scraper.
After Defrosting or Inactivity:
- If the refrigerator has been defrosted or inactive for a while:
- Set the control knob to the “0” position to temporarily stop the cooling cycle.
- Then, set the control to the maximum cooling level for 2 to 3 hours.
- Adjust to the desired cooling level after this period.
- For prolonged inactivity, disconnect the appliance, leaving the door partially open to reduce mold and mildew buildup.
Note:
- Wait 3 to 5 minutes before restarting if the operation is interrupted.
Vacation Time
- For short vacations, leave control knobs at usual settings during vacations of less than three weeks.
