Product Usage Instructions:

Router Setup Steps:

  1. Prepare your Modem

  2. Unplug the power of cable / DSL modem. If it has a battery
    backup, remove the battery.

  3. Connect your modem to WAN port:

  4. Connect your modem to the WAN port at the back side of the
    router with the network cable provided.

  5. Power on the modem by plugging it into the power outlet.

  6. Check the modem LED lights to ensure the connection is
    active.

  7. Install your Router:

  8. Plug the adapter into the DCIN port and press the Power
    switch.

  9. The power LED will light up when the hardware is ready.

Additional Steps:

  1. [App] Setup on Mobile Device:

  2. Download ASUS Router app from App Store on your iOS or Android
    device.

  3. Connect to default network SSID or scan QR code for
    connection.

  4. Launch ASUS Router App and follow instructions to complete
    setup.

  5. [Wired/Wireless] Connection:

  6. If wired, connect PC to LAN port; if wireless, connect to
    default SSID.

  7. Open a web browser and navigate to http://www.asusrouter.com
    for setup.

Gain Another 10GE LAN Port:

  1. Set up 2.5GE WAN connection:
  2. Connect modem to 2.5GE WAN port with network cable.
  3. Login and Connect:
  4. Select Manual Setting in ASUS Setup Wizard.
  5. Select 2.5G WAN and follow instructions for SSID and login
    setup.

Start to Use:

  1. After setup, the router will reboot and start connecting to
    Internet with 2.5GE port.

2 Connect your modem to WAN port at the back side of the router with the network cable provided.
3 Power on the modem. Plug modem to the power outlet and power on.

4 Check the modem LED lights to ensure the connection is active.

1 Plug the adapter into the DCIN port, and press the Power switch.

If you are using DSL for internet, you will need your username / password from your Internet service provider (ISP) to properly configure your router.

3 [App] On your iOS or Android mobile device, go to the app store, search for ASUS Router, and download the app.

4 [App] On your iOS or Android mobile device, tap Settings > Wi-Fi, connect to the default network SSID shown on the product label on the back side of the router. Or scan the QR code on the product label to connect the default network SSID.

  • XX refers to the last two digits of MAC address. You can find it on the label on the back of your router.

5 [App] Launch ASUS Router App and follow the instructions to complete the setup.

3 [Wired] Connect your PC to LAN port at the back side of the router using an additional network cable.

[Wireless] Connect to the network with default SSID shown on the product label on the back side of your router “ASUS_XX”.

4 [Wired / Wireless] Open a web browser.
You will be redirected to the ASUS Setup Wizard. If not, navigate to http://www.asusrouter.com.
Follow the instructions to complete the setup.

Gain Another 10GE LAN Port

01 Set up 2.5GE WAN connection to release another 10GE LAN Port

­ Under factory defaults

Connect to the 2.5GE WAN port
Connect the modem to the 2.5GE WAN port with a network cable.

Login and Connect 1 [ASUS Setup Wizard] Select “Manual Setting”.

2 [ASUS Setup Wizard] Select “2.5G WAN”, then follow the instructions to complete the setup of SSID and login information.

02 Start to Use
1 After following the setup steps, the router will reboot for a second and start to connect the Internet with 2.5GE port.
