Getting Started with Open Enrollment
Login to Workday:
- Launch browser
- Access Workday through “Your Apps” through the Access Panel applications
- You can also access Workday through your browser using this URL:

Data Security
Workday will allow associates to use either:
- Single Sign On (SSO)
- Log-in and password
- Sign in using the Single Sign-On option; you will continue using your Windows Username, Password and Domain that you currently use on your desktop computer.
- If associate does not have a Helen of Troy assigned email address, (SSO) will not be available. These members may have their login and password reset by contacting HR at (915) 225- 4715 or email us at workday@helenoftroy.com.
- Next, the associate will go to their Workday Inbox, find the To-Task labeled “Change Benefits for Open Enrollment.
- Click on the “Let’s Get Started” button.
- Answer the Health Questionnaire for Tobacco Cessation Program and the Tobacco-free premium incentive.
To-Do Task in Workday Inbox
- On October 1st, a Workday to-do task will appear in your inbox. Simply click on the task and get started!
- The task will stay in your inbox until you’ve submitted your elections or until Open Enrollment closes.
Available Functions
Associates will have the opportunity to make changes to all benefits
available, add dependents and change beneficiaries during Open Enrollment:
- Medical Coverage
- PPO
- Consumer Driven Health Plan (CDHP)
- Dental
- Vision
- Critical Illness (CI)
- Accident
- Health Savings (only when paired with CDHP)
- Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA – Health Care, Limited Use, Dependent Care). Limits are noted within the enrollment instructions.
- Voluntary Life, Spouse Life and Dependent Life
- Evidence of Insurability (EOI) will be required for Voluntary Life and Spouse Life Coverage (Domestic Partner).
- Another To-Do task for EOI, will be assigned to associate once the enrollment has been successfully submitted.
- Employees will be required to submit EOI within the 31 days of Open Enrollment.
- Short-Term Disability Buy-up
- Associates may elect 10% for total of 80% of weekly wages or 20% for total of 90% of weekly wages.
- Helen of Troy provides the following benefits to associates at no cost to members and cannot be opted out of:
- Basic Life and AD&D (2X for Officers, 1X for all other associates)
- Basic STD (70% weekly wages)
- Basic LTD (60% weekly wages)
- Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
- Helen of Troy Wellness Program
- Fertility/Family Building Services
- Associates will be provided a summary to review before they accept changes.
- Failure to click on “I agree” and “submit” will invalidate and forfeit any changes for 2025.
- All changes will take effect on January 1, 2025.
- Once submitted the Open Enrollment task will disappear from the associates’ Workday inbox. and relaunch the Open Enrollment change option.
- If associate has enrolled a dependent to the plan, a copy of the marriage certificate for a spouse or a birth certificate for each child enrolled is required within the 31 days of Open Enrollment, otherwise the request will be declined, and coverage level will default to current enrollment.
- If associate has enrolled a Domestic Partner or Domestic Partner Child(ren) to the plan, an affidavit of Domestic Partnership must be completed and submitted within the 31 days of Open Enrollment, otherwise the request will be declined, and coverage level will default to current enrollment.
- Upload any dependent verification documents to the attachments section within the Open Enrollment task.
- Attachments are not required if associate has not added any new dependents.
- Once enrolled and submitted:
- Associates may print a copy of the 2025 statement for their records (see image below). Click on “View 2025 Benefit Statement”, Click on print.
- Check for an Evidence of Insurability (EOI) task in your Workday in-box if you’ve made any changes to your Voluntary Life Coverage or Spouse Life Coverage.
- On January 1, 2025, check elections for any deduction errors.
- To report any errors within 31 days of the plan new year, send an email with a copy of your 2025 Benefit Statement and a summary of the issue to gethealthy@helenoftroy.com. No corrections will be allowed after January 31, 2025.
Need to Make Additional Changes within 31 days of Open Enrollment Period:
- If the associate wishes to make additional changes within the Open Enrollment period, go to the Benefits and Pay Hub in Workday and Edit the Open Enrollment change.
- Follow the above process again until View 2025 Benefit Statement is available.
