SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Please retain instructions for future reference.

  • When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed.

  • Always unplug the appliance after use and allow it to cool fully before any cleaning, user maintenance or storing away.
  • Always use the appliance on a stable, heat-resistant surface, at a height that is comfortable for the user.
  • This appliance should not be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote control system.
  • Use of an extension cord with the appliance is not recommended.
  • This appliance is intended for domestic use only. It should not be used for commercial purposes.

CAUTION: Hot surface – do not touch hot sections or heating components of the appliance.

WARNING: Boiling water and steam can cause serious injury; exercise extreme caution when using this appliance.

Dos and don’ts

DO:
Check that the base of the milk frother is clean before each cycle.
Always fill the milk frother cup above the min. fill mark.

DON’T:
Connect the milk frother to the mains power supply before milk has been added.
Allow any liquid to come into contact with the base.
Exceed the max. fill mark when filling the milk frother cup.
Operate the milk frother whilst empty.

Boil-dry protection

If there is insufficient milk in the milk frother, the indicator lights will flash and it will automatically shut off. If this happens, switch off and unplug the milk frother from the mains power supply. Allow to cool fully for at least 10 minutes before using again.

Care and maintenance

Switch off and unplug the milk frother from the mains power supply and allow it to cool fully before attempting any cleaning or maintenance.
STEP 1: Wipe the milk frother with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
STEP 2: Clean the interior of the milk frother with warm, soapy water, then rinse and dry thoroughly.
Do not use harsh or abrasive cleaning detergents or scourers to clean the milk frother, as this could cause damage.

NOTE: The milk frother should be cleaned after each use.

WARNING: The milk frother is not safe for dishwasher use.

Instructions for use

Before first use

Clean the milk frother following the instructions in the section entitled ‘Care and maintenance’.

Using the milk frother

STEP 1: Place the milk frother base unit onto a flat, stable, heat- resistant surface at a height that is comfortable for the user.
STEP 2: Position the removable whisk onto the whisk spindle at the bottom of the milk frother cup.
STEP 3: Fill the milk frother cup with the desired amount of milk. Ensure that the milk is above the min. fill mark but below the max. frothing fill mark.
STEP 4: Attach the milk frother lid and place the milk frother onto the milk frother base unit. Then plug in and switch on the milk frother at the mains power supply.
STEP 5: Press and hold ‘CY to switch on the milk frother; the indicator light will illuminate.
STEP 6: Repeatedly press ‘( )’ to change the function. When the cycle is complete, the milk frother will turn off automatically.
STEP 7: Switch off and unplug the milk frother at the mains power supply. Carefully remove the milk frother lid and pour out the milk.

Making hot chocolate

STEP 1: Place the milk frother base unit onto a flat, stable, heat- resistant surface at a height that is comfortable for the user.
STEP 2: Position the removable whisk onto the whisk spindle at the bottom of the milk frother cup.
STEP 3: Pour the required amount of milk into the milk frother in line with the max. fill mark.
STEP 4: Add a maximum of 35 g chocolate shavings to the milk, based on 300 ml milk.
STEP 5: Press and hold ‘( ) to switch on the milk frother, then press ‘( ) three times to start the programme.

Storage

Check that the milk frother is cool, clean and dry before storing in a cool, dry place.
Never wrap the cord tightly around or inside the milk frother; wrap it loosely to avoid causing damage.
