Introduction

To change colors, use the wireless remote that comes with it. Control the speed, color, mode, brightness, and other factors. In particular at night, it looks fantastic! The MRGB65 is equipped with the most recent weatherproofing technologies to provide protection from the elements. The MRGB65 6.5-inch car speakers are made of polyurethane, which is strong and sturdy and can deliver excellent sound with the benefit of long-lasting speakers. High temperatures can be tolerated by our voice coils while still retaining their strength and fatigue resistance. Our speakers benefit from extended playtimes and lighter weights as a result.

An ideal material to use for surrounds is treated cloth. It is strong and functions well with the cone, giving the whole speaker the right support for fantastic excursion and even better sounds. The stamped basket provides a sturdy and robust platform that enables the listener to hear audio output that is crisp and clear. Compared to the semi-dome form, the dome shape radiates sound with a larger dispersion pattern. Given that high-frequency sound waves are highly directional, a larger “sweet spot” will result from a wider dispersion of the sound waves.

BEFORE YOU START

IMPORTANT SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

BE SURE TO OBSERVE THE FOLLOWING GUIDELINES:

• Do not turn up the volume so high that you can’t hear what’s around you.
• Use caution or temporarily discontinue use in potentially hazardous situations.
• Do not operate mobile video equipment while driving a motorized vehicle
• Safe vehicle operation and safety consideration of others should always be your highest priority.
• Set your volume control at a low setting, then slowly increase the sound until you can hear it comfortably without distortion, or ear discomfort.
• In the event you should notice smoke, strange noises or odor from this product, or any other abnormal signs, immediately turn off the power and consult your dealer or the nearest authorized BOSS AUDIO Service Center. Using this product in this condition may result in permanent damage to the system.

INSTALLATION PRECAUTIONS

WARNING – Always consult with a professional installer

• Do not attempt to install or service this product by yourself. Installation or servicing of this product by persons without professional training and experience in electronic equipment and motorized vehicle accessories may be dangerous and could expose you to the risk of electric shock, injury or other hazards
• Refer any repairs to a qualified BOSS AUDIO SYSTEMS Service Center
• The MRGB65 LED RGB SYNC HUB should be wired directly to a normally open switch or relay.
• When wiring directly to the vehicles battery, be sure to disconnect the batteries negative terminal wire before starting any wiring procedures, if ex- tending the main power wire, it is suggested that an optional fuse and fuse holder (not included) with minimum rating of 10 Amperes be in-line with the positive battery terminal
• The ground cable length should not exceed 18-inches (See wiring diagram pg. 4)
• The MRGB65 has a weather resistant design, it should not be submerged in or under water under any circumstances
• Use only the installation parts provided with the MRGB65

Do not touch the speaker flex wire

• The RGB HUB controller should be installed in a non-metal and dry location Secure all wiring with wire ties
• Properly seal connections to ensure water tight connections

BEFORE INSTALLING THIS PRODUCT

To avoid potential shorts in the electrical system, be sure to disconnect the (–) battery cable before installation. Use this unit with a 12-volt battery and negative grounding only.

Failure to do so may result in a fire or malfunction.

When replacing the fuse, be sure to only use a fuse of the rating specified on this product.

To avoid short-circuiting, cover any disconnected leads with insulating tape. It is especially important to insulate any unused wires, which if left uncovered may cause a short circuit. When connecting other devices to this product, refer to the manual for the product to be connected. The black cable is ground, make sure to connect the ground wire first.

Ensure that the ground cable is properly connected to metal parts of the vehicles body frame or direct to the battery if your vehicle does not have a grounded chassis frame The ground cable of this units power amp and a second powered system must be connected to the frame separately with different screws. If the screw for the ground wire loosens or falls out, it could result in fire or malfunction.

FAQs

Is the LED light’s option for constant orange available?****

Colors can be changed via a remote

The remote is water-resistant.****

You can get it wet, but I wouldn’t suggest immersing it in water.

I have mrgb65b speakers, therefore why won’t the remote function? Does it require a box to be connected?****

Yes, it is necessary for their proper operation.

Is the RGB sync present?****

No, that’s not a part of it.

Do I require an amp?****

No

For my 2013 Ultra-Classic Harley-Davidson, I’m hoping to purchase these speakers.****

They will perform flawlessly!

Are these speakers amp-required?****

They can be powered by your system’s head unit without the need for an amplifier. It is strongly advised to run them off if you want them to be loud.

Do these speakers remember the channel or sequence I left them on when I turn them on and off again?****

Yes, even when the power was completely off, they remember the last setting.

Do these flash in time to music?****

No, they don’t automatically strobe to the music. The remote that comes with them can be used to control a fairly wide range of color change and strobe/fade options, but none of them are directly synchronized with the music.

The speakers’ led lights are dark. The speakers function, and the fuse is functional and powered. How do I activate the led?****

What in fact manages the led? Can you connect these to a radio that supports RGB? I want the two sets I ordered to be in time.****

A separate switch powers the LEDs. I suppose you could connect them to a radio that supports RGB, but I’m not sure.

DO these have a mounting template included?****

The cardboard cutout that the speakers are seated in can be used as a template.

If you misplace your remote, do they sell replacements?****

Yes, extra $25 for shipping.

How lengthy is the lighting connection’s wiring?****

Three lighting extension cables are included with the MRGB65S.

Are these speakers supposed to include an amplifier?****

Yes, a modest amp for the lights.
