Product Usage Instructions
Storage & Handling:
This door must be stored in a dry and flat location. Avoid exposure to
temperatures above 90°F, direct sunlight, humidity levels higher than 65%RH,
and lower than 30%RH. Keep the door packaged until installation.
Precautions:
Avoid installing this door in new build or freshly plastered locations.
Ensure all plaster, texture, or cement is completely dry. Seal both faces and
edges with a suitable base sealer immediately after any cutouts.
Hanging:
Prior to hanging, inspect for damages. Ensure all jambs and stops are set
square and plumb. Follow trimming allowances and seal all surfaces after
trimming. Avoid drilling at rail and stile joints.
Factory Primed & Ready to Paint:
Sand the door lightly with #220 or higher grit sandpaper. Remove dust with a
tack cloth. Use paint suitable for wood application and follow manufacturer
instructions. Apply a minimum of two top coats, sanding between coats.
Maintenance & Cleaning Recommendations:
Clean the door twice a year (monthly in coastal areas) with a damp cloth and
mild soap. Do not power-wash or use abrasive cleaners. Avoid contact with
aggressive cleaners or solvents. Rinse and dry immediately if contact occurs.

It is not recommended to install this door in new build locations; ensure all plaster and cement are completely dry before installation. -

INTRODUCTION
Timber is a natural grown product and as such is subject to changes due to variations in moisture and temperature resulting in minor swelling and shrinking. This is not a defect but a natural characteristic of timber. Warp at the face of the door will be considered a defect if it exceeds 1/4 inch when measured as deviation from a straight edge on the suspected concave surface of the door in its installed position.
STORAGE & HANDLING
- This door must be stored in a dry and flat location. Do not expose the door to temperatures above 90 degrees Fahrenheit and/or to direct sunlight. Do not expose the door to humidity level higher than 65%RH and lower than 30%RH.

PRECAUTIONS
- This door is not recommended for installation in any new build or freshly plastered location. All plaster, texture or cement must be completely dry to avoid excessive moisture penetration.
- It is essential that door should be sealed with a suitable base sealer on both faces and four edges and any cutouts immediately. It is of utmost importance that both ends are completely sealed, as this is where moisture can most easily penetrate the timber.
- Moisture may cause swelling, splitting or warping.
HANGING
- Prior to hanging this door, inspect for damages and do not proceed to fit the door if any noticeable damage or defect is evident.
- Be sure all jambs and stops are set perfectly square and plumb.
- This door has a trimming allowance of 1/4-in. at each side and 1-in. at the bottom rail. All surfaces must be properly sealed immediately after trimming.
- Holes and drillings should not be at the rail and stile joints as this will result in a weakening of the joint and/or stile.
- BARN/SLIDING DOORS: The hardware installation must be done according to the hardware manufacturer instructions.
FACTORY PRIMED & READY TO PAINT
- Sand the entire door lightly using a #220 or higher grit number sand paper. Thoroughly remove all dust with a tack cloth prior to applying finish. DO NOT USE compressed air to blow off dust of door as moisture in air will cause water spotting.
- Choose any paint indicated for WOOD APLICATION that suits your taste and apply it according to the paint manufacturer instructions; our door are primed with a water-based primer. Be sure that previous layer of paint coat is completely dry before applying the next one. Cover all surfaces evenly! BE SURE TO SEAL TOP AND BOTTOM of doors, as well as all sides. Apply a minimum of two top coats, sanding between coats.
MAINTENANCE & CLEANING RECOMMENDATIONS
- It is recommended to clean the door twice a year (monthly in coastal areas) with a damp cloth and mild soap.
- Do not power-wash doors or use a garden hose. This can cause seal failure and allow water to enter the structure.
- Do not use sharp objects and/or abrasive cleaners, it can damage door surfaces.
- Do not allow aggressive cleaners or solvents to come in contact with door surfaces. Immediately rinse and dry it.

- No claim will be entered into if the door has not been correctly machined, finished and installed in accordance with USE AND CARE INSTRUCTIONS. All doors must be properly sealed on all six surfaces.
- The conditions under which this door is stored, installed and sealed are beyond the manufacturer control and therefore we cannot accept responsibility for or warranty against shrinkage, warping or splitting without inspection and statement from EightDoors’s technical team.
We strongly advise against use in following locations:
- Freshly plastered location;
- Dwellings where concrete floors have recently been laid;
- A new build where central heating is used to accelerate the drying out process;
- Should this door be used in one or more of above locations we cannot accept any responsibility whatsoever for problems arising.
