Product Usage Instructions

Safety Guidelines
Intended use: The Kitle Multi AirFrame is designed for camping and can be installed in a van to provide functions such as a bed, seating, storage, cooking, cleaning, and water provision. It can also be used for storage outside of camping scenarios.

Installation

  1. Ensure the vehicle’s interior is clear and seat rails are accessible.
  2. Remove the bed platform by unscrewing the top bolts.
  3. Take off the kitchen unit by undoing the latch on the underside and lifting it off the drawer frame.
  4. Remove plastic storage boxes and fridge (if fitted).
  5. Ensure all drawers are closed securely.
  6. Lift the kit carefully into the vehicle.
  7. Secure the kit to the Multivan rails using the provided bolts and Allen key.
  8. Secure the bed panels, kitchen unit, and other components.
  9. Your kit is now ready for use.

Installing Multivan Bolts
The Multi AirFrame uses Multivan bolts to secure the kit in place. Pass the bolts through the mounting holes in the kit once it is inside the vehicle.

Safety Guidelines

Intended use
The Kitle Multi is a piece of camping equipment that can be carried in a van. When installed correctly it provides various functions, including; a bed, casual seating, food and equipment storage, cooking, cleaning and water provision. When not used for camping, the kit can be left in the vehicle and used for storage or taken out of the vehicle.

NOTICE

  • When the vehicle is moving the bed must be in seated position.
  • Extended drawer slides are intended for storage and food preparation only.
  • Drawer slides are rated for distributed load only.

WARNING

  • If the product has visible damage, contact the manufacturer immediately.
  • Whenver the kit is inside your vehcile, the kit must be secured to your vehicle.
  • The kit must be secured to load rated factory mounted points.
  • Do not carry passengers on the kit whilst the vehicle is moving.
  • Only operate the product when the vehicle is parked on a stable, level surface and with handbrake engaged.
  • Regularly check all bolts are secure and tighten any that are loose with supplied Allen keys.
  • Ensure that the kitchen unit is secure via its mounting system before use.
  • Do not sit, stand, lean or hang on extended drawer slides.
  • When operating the product, keep fingers and hands clear of closing/opening components to prevent injury.
  • Ensure the area to the rear of your vehicle is stable, level and clear of tripping hazards before operating the product.

Installation

WARNING

  • Your vehicle must have load rated mounting points to secure your kit.
  • Your camp kit is considered cargo and must be secured to the vehicle mounting points with load rated restraints and/or bolts.
  • To ensure loads are secured in the safet way for your specific vehicle, please refer to your vehicle instructions.
  • Be mindful of product weights before lifting and apply appropriate manual handling techniques at all times.

  1. Make sure that the vehicle’s interior is clear and the seat rails are clear
  2. Remove the bed platform by unscrewing the top bolts.
  3. Remove the kitchen unit by undoing the latch on the underside and lifting off the drawer frame.
  4. Remove the plastic storage boxes.
  5. Remove fridge if fitted.
  6. Make sure all the drawers are latched closed.
  7. Carefully lift kit body into vehicle.
  8. Secure the kit to the Multivan rails using the supplied bolts and Allen key.
  9. Secure the bed panels, kitchen unit and storage boxes.
  10. Your kit is now ready to use.

Installing Multivan bolts
The Multi AirFrame uses Multivan bolts to secure the kit in place.

  1. Pass the bolts through the mounting holes in the kit once the kit is in the vehicle.
  2. Align the Allen key handle with the bottom T section of the bolt so that they are parallel to each other.
  3. Place the T-bolt in the rail.
  4. Using the Allen key handle, turn the bolt 90°
  5. Keeping the Allen key in the same position, tighten the thumb nut by hand.

Maintenance & Care Instructions

Multi AirFrame
NOTICE

  • Use regular soap, water and soft cloths to wipe surfaces clean. Avoid using abrasive cleaning products on the kits.
  • Keep drawer runners free of debris. If required wipe runners clean and replace with small amount of silicone lubricant.
  • Do not place hot objects (cookware etc.) on the product surfaces.
  • Do not use coal or wood fired cookers on the product.
  • Immediately clean up spills and dry any wet surfaces, i.e. do not leave any wet surfaces.

WARNING

  • Regularly check that all bolts are secure and tighten any that are loose with the supplied Allen keys.

Mattress & cover (optional extra)
NOTICE

  • Spot clean with warm water and mild soap.
  • Do not bleach.
  • Do not tumble dry.
  • Do not iron.
  • Do not dry clean.

Operation

Drawers
NOTICE

  • The drawers feature a lock latch which prevents closed drawers from accidently opening. The heavy duty drawer slides feature a lock that engages when the drawer is fully extended to prevent closing unexpectedly.

WARNING

  • Ensure drawers are fully closed and locked before moving the vehicle.

  • Secure all items inside the kit before moving the vehicle.

    1. Open drawers by pressing down on both metal latches at the same time and pulling gently outwards.

    2. Release the latch once the drawer has started opening.
      Keeping the latches pressed down during the slide can result in the drawer slide coming off the rails.

    3. Before closing the drawers, ensure all items are cleared, sink is collapsed and hoses are connected.

    4. Close drawers by pushing all the way in until the locking mechanism engages with a click.

Large storage drawer

  • The large storage drawer is designed to fit a Dometic CFX3-35 or 2× Euro Box 43.
  • Secure fridge and other cargo using straps and eyebolts mounted to the drawer frame.
  • If using Dometic CFX3-35 pass straps between fridge handles and eye-bolts on drawer frame and tighten until secure.

Bed
NOTICE

  • The top of the kit forms a bed base when the kit is used with the rear bench seat of a Volkswagon Multivan.
  • Please follow vehicle manufacturer instructions for folding the bench seat correctly.

WARNING

  • Do not carry passengers on the kit whilst the vehicle is moving.

Water system
NOTICE

  • Your kit is supplied with a Dometic GO Hydration Water Faucet and two Dometic GO Hydration Water Jugs. For correct use, please follow the instructions provided by Dometic.

WARNING

  • Ensure hoses are disconnected and containers are closed and secured before driving.
  • Your kit includes a black extension water hose that connects the water tap to a water jug. The black clip attached to hose can be mounted to edge of sink bench to prevent the tap from rotating during use.

Electrical systems
NOTICE

  • If you purchased a Dometic fridge from Kitle with your purchase, please follow the provided manufacturer instructions on how to use this product correctly.
  • You will require a suitable 12V power supply to operate a powered fridge. Please consult a 12V specialist for advice.

WARNING

  • If you install electrical cables, ensure that cables are secured away from mechanisms. Use cable ties or other securing methods to prevent cables from interfering with the operation of the drawer slides.

Product Warranty

Kitle products
This Warranty covers any defects in material or workmanship under normal use during the Warranty Period of a Kitle product. During the Warranty Period, Kitle will repair or replace, at no charge, products or parts of a Kitle AirFrame Kit that prove defective because of improper material or workmanship, under normal use and maintenance.

Warranty Period
For Kitle products purchased from Kitle, the Warranty Period is 2 yers from the date of purchase.

Exclusions
The following are not covered by this Warranty:

  1. Normal wear and tear or cosmetic blemishes occurring as a result of use.
  2. Aesthetic changes that do not affect the general operation or integrity of the product.
  3. Any damage or defects resulting from modifications, alterations, or arbitrary repairs made by the customer.
  4. Damage attributed to improper storage or handling, misuse, accidents, carelessness or neglect.

Obtaining Warranty Service
To obtain warranty service, you must first contact us to determine the problem and the most appropriate solution for you.

Limitations
This Warranty extends only to the original purchaser of the product and is not transferable. The warranty does not cover any replacement or repair costs resulting from, but not limited to, the exclusions mentioned above.

Kitle products sold in Australia are subject to Australian Consumer Law.
