Installing the grill on a BBQ Island Always have appliances and equipment measured by contractor before building.
You will need a second person to help you during installation to avoid damaging the grill or your grill island. Before installing the grill on any island, verify your rectangular cutout size is correct.
The cut-out size for the 30″ grill is 31″ x 20″ x 7″ The cut-out size for the 36″ grill is 37″ x 20″ x 7″
Once the cutout is ready, simply drop the grill into the rectangular opening. This grill has a perimeter lip that allows the grill to rest on the countertop of your cabinet. Once the grill is installed, line the entire inside bottom and side walls with 1 ¼” thick fire bricks. This must be done prior to using the grill.
The recommended fire bricks to use inside the grill are 9″ x 4.5″ x 1.25″ and come in an assortment of colors. These bricks can be purchased online or at DIY stores. Do not use bricks thicker than 1.25″. The bricks will have to be cut/shortened and placed accordingly on the inside bottom and sides of the grill prior to use.
Care and cleaning of your grill.
The grill must be completely cool when cleaning. Make sure all coal and ashes are completely extinguished before removing. Empty the grill of all ash and drippings after each use. Use a

metal dustpan to scoop up the used ashes and dispose of them in a noncombustible metal container and completely saturate with water. Allow coals to remain in water for 24 hours prior to disposal. Stainless Steel Care and Maintenance: It is a common misconception that stainless steel will maintain its original factory shine with little help from the consumer. Unfortunately, this is not true. Stainless steel will not stain, discolor, corrode or rust as fast as other types of steel, but it is not fully stain or weather proof. If not properly maintained, all grades of stainless steel can face surface discoloration, corrosion and eventually rust. Any stainless steel that is exposed to the environment will require attention and care throughout its life to ensure that it keeps its shine and structural integrity. Stainless steel lid: Keep the lid on the grill when not in use to protect against the weather.
