Guidelines and Warnings
-
Pressure Regulation: If the water pressure exceeds the maximum limit indicated on the housing label, a pressure limiting valve must be installed. Ensure the housing is protected from water hammer.
-
Temperature Guidelines: This product is suitable for water temperatures up to 52°C. For installations requiring temperatures above 52°C, please contact us for appropriate housing options. Ensure the housing is protected from freezing conditions.
-
Installation Environment: Avoid installing the product in direct sunlight.
-
Connection Instructions: Use PTFE thread seal tape on all connections.
The use of pipe sealants will void the warranty. -
Tightening Precautions: Do not overtighten connections. Excessive tape or over-tightening may cause the housing to crack.
-
Point of Entry Installations: For point of entry installations, a certified dual check backflow prevention device must be installed in compliance with national plumbing codes.
-
Water Safety: Do not use this product with water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection.

Installation Note
A water filter system or tap, like any product, has a finite lifespan and may
eventually fail. In some cases, unexpected circumstances can cause early
failure. To prevent potential property damage, regularly inspect this product
for leakage or deterioration and replace it as necessary. In areas where
leakage could result in property damage, it is recommended to use a drain pan
connected to an appropriate drain or fitted with a leak detector.
Important Note: Please ensure the equipment is installed under cover or with the provided cover to protect it from sun and weather exposure.
Installation Procedure
- Isolate water supply and relieve pressure by opening a downstream tap.
- Cut pipe to suit length of required valve and housing installation.
- Use approved brass, galv/poly plumbing fittings to suit existing pipework. The female threads on the housing will receive tapered male threads. Thread into housing head carefully as too much tape or over tightening may cause it to split.
- If using sweated fittings, allow enough time to cool before connecting to the housing.
- Securely fix wall mount bracket and pipework with suitable clips. Allow 50mm clearance underbowl for filter changes.
- Flush debris from pipework.
- Install filter cartridge as per cartridge replacement instructions.
Positioning Your Filter
Select a location where any potential water spillage will not cause damage.
Ensure that the mounting surface is solid and secure, allowing the filter
housing to remain stable during filter changes. For added convenience,
consider installing an isolation valve just before the filter to make
cartridge replacements easier and to isolate the filter when needed.
Cartridge Installation / Replacement
To change the filter cartridge(s) please adhere to the following procedure:
- Turn off the water supply and release any pressure by opening a downstream tap or pressing the red pressure relief button on the housing(s) (if available).
- Unscrew the filter bowl(s). If it’s tough to loosen, consider using a wrench for easier removal. Take out the old cartridge(s).
- Clean the bowl(s) with soap and warm water, then rinse thoroughly. Inspect the O-Ring(s) for any damage, and replace if necessary.
- Check the lubrication on the O-Ring(s). If needed, apply a thin layer of food-grade silicone lubricant (or a similar product).
- Remove all packaging from the new filter cartridge(s) and place them into the housing bowl(s), ensuring they are properly seated over the spigot at the base of the bowl(s). Don’t forget to record the model number of the cartridge(s) you use.
- While holding the bowl(s) upright, screw them onto the head. Ensure that the spigot in the housing head(s) aligns with the cartridge(s) to create a good seal. Hand-tighten the bowl until it is secure—avoid over-tightening.
- Open the downstream tap to release any trapped air, then slowly turn on the water supply to allow all the air to purge from the system.
- Let the water run for 2 minutes to flush the system.
- Close the downstream tap and check for leaks. If the system hasn’t been used for more than 2 days, flush it for 10 minutes. If it hasn’t been used for 2 weeks or more, consider replacing the cartridge.
