Product Usage Instructions:

Recalling a PLU:

To recall a PLU:

  1. Enter the PLU number on the operations keyboard.
  2. Press the designated key or speed key to access the PLU.
  3. To clear the PLU, press the red key.

Weigh Mode PLU Operation:

For Weigh Mode PLU operation:

  1. Place the commodity on the platter.
  2. Recall the desired PLU.
  3. For Manual Print, press the key. For Auto Print, a label will
    automatically be issued.

PrePack Mode:

To use Prepack Mode:

  1. Enable Prepack Mode by pressing the designated key.

  2. Recall the desired Weigh Mode PLU.

  3. Place a commodity on the platter for automatic label
    issuance.

  4. To weigh another commodity, remove the current commodity and
    label while keeping the PLU recalled.

Auto Mode:

In Auto Mode:

  1. Recall the desired Weigh Mode PLU.

  2. Press the key to enable AUTO mode for automatic label
    printing.

  3. To save mode, press the SAVE key. The recalled PLU information
    will remain for further weighing.

Save Mode:

To use Save Mode:

  1. Press the key to enable Save Mode. The Save indication will
    show in the status bar.

  2. The PLU information will remain after label issuance.

  3. To clear PLU information, press the red key. To disable Save
    Mode, press the key again.

Manually Enter Quantity:

To manually enter quantity:

  1. Press the key in sequence: R1-R2-R3 to display actual quantity,
    unit quantity, and unit price.

  2. Select the PLU accordingly.

Operations Quick Reference Guide

The following procedures should be performed from the normal weigh mode screen. Some procedures require a password. When prompted, enter your password. If none has been assigned to you or your password does not allow you to access a particular program, call your Service Representative for assistance.

Recalling a PLU
On the operations keyboard, enter the PLU number

then press the

key or press the appropriately

programmed speed key . (To access the second

level of speed keys, press the

key before

pressing the speed key.) To clear the PLU, simply

press the red

key.

Weigh Mode PLU Operation
Place commodity on the platter. Recall the desired Weigh Mode PLU. For Manual Print press the
key, for Auto Print a label will automatically be issued.

Misc Weigh Mode PLU Operation
Place commodity on the platter.Enter the Unit Price using the number keys. For Manual Print press the
key, for Auto Print a label will be automatically issued.Non PLU by weight item’s name shall be “MISC By Weight”.

By Count Mode PLU Operation
Recall the desired By Count Mode PLU. Press

key and enter the Quantity being

purchased and press the

key.For Auto

Print a label will automatically be issued.Non

PLU by count item’s name shall be “MISC By

Count”.

PrePack Mode
The Prepack Mode is only available for Weigh Mode items. To enable the Prepack Mode press

the

key. (The Prepack indication should be

showed in the status bar.) Recall the desired

Weigh Mode PLU. Place a commodity on the platter

and a label will automatically be issued. Remove the

commodity and the label and the recalled PLU will

remain so that you can weigh another

commodity.To speed up the process you could

recall the Weigh Mode PLU, place the commodity

on the platter and after the label is issued remove

the commodity and place another commodity on

the platter and then remove the label. A label will

then be issued for the second commodity that you

just placed on the platter. Then repeat the

process for all remaining commodities.

Auto Mode
For AUTO mode, it means that print automatically a

label without pressing

key after

stabilization.Recall the desired Weigh Mode PLU.

Press

key ,the AUTO indication shows in the

status bar.Place a product on the platter after

stabilization and a label will automatically be issued.

Press

key to enable save mode, the SAVE

indication shows in the status bar.Remove the

product and the recalled PLU will remain so that you

can weigh another product.If the weight value

changes again (need to return to 0.00lb), another

label will be printed.

Save Mode

To enable the Save Mode press the

key.

(The Save indication should be showed in the

status bar.) With the Save Mode enabled the PLU

information will remain after the label is issued. To

clear the PLU information press the red

key .To disable the Save Mode press the key again.
Manually Enter Quantity

Press the

key in sequence: R1-R2-R3, The

status bar shows R1, R2, R3, R1 : Actual QTY //

R2 : Unit QTY // R3 : Unit Price. Select the PLU by

either Pressing the speed key or the by recalling

PLU by its number.Press the

key:

If the PLU is by Count, then R1 (Actual QTY) is

blinking and enter manually Actual QTY;press key again to save and go to next step. If the PLU is by Weight, then the PLU is changed from by weight PLU to by Count PLU and then R1 (Actual QTY) is blinking and enter manually Actual QTY.Press the

key, then R2 (Unit QTY) is blinking and enter

manually Unit QTY;press

key again to save

and go to next step. Then R3 (Unit Price) is blinking

and enter manually the Unit Price.Press

again to save and go to next step.Press

to print a label after any step of 2, 3 or 4.

Temporary Price Changes (Weigh Mode)

Recall the desired PLU.Press the

key. Enter the

new Unit Price . Place commodity on the platter. For

Manual Print press the

key, for Auto Print a

label will automatically be issued.

Temporary Price Changes (By Count Mode)

Recall the desired PLU.Press the

key and

then enter the Quantity that is being purchased.

Press the

key twice. Enter the new Unit Price

and press the

key, the label will be issued.

Weighed Tare Entry

To enter the Tare weight of a container, make sure there are no PLU’s recalled (scale is at all zeroes). Place the container on the platter and

press the

key. To clear the Tare weight,

remove the container and press the

key.

Tare Override

To override a Tare Weight already programmed

In a PLU, recall the PLU then press the

key

then the

key. Enter the desired Tare Weight

using the number keys and press the

key.

Changing Print Modes
The default Print Mode for the VLP-100B is Manual.

To change to the Auto Print Mode press the key. The AUTO indication should be shown in the status bar. To return to the Manual Print Mode simply

press the

key again.

Note: To have the VLP-100B power on in the AUTO

Print Mode all of the time: press

key and then

press S24 key, it will be asked to input the user

password,default is 1234, enter the password with

numeric keys and confirmed by pressing

key.

Press number 2 key and press

print when stable and then press

key.

PLU Type Change Weigh Mode to By Count Mode

Recall a Weight PLU.Press the

key to select the

R1 mode (Actual QTY) . R1 (Actual QTY) is blinking and

Printing Multiple Labels
Multiple Label printing is ONLY available for By Count

type PLU’s. Recall the desired PLU. Press the key. Enter the desired number of labels to print and

press the

key. At the “Remove the paper before

printing the next one?” prompt and press the key. Labels will be issued with a prompt “Paper has not been taken away”.

Press

key, the labels will be issued.

Programming Quick Reference Guide

Store Info

MENU + S1

Press the

key and 1 1 key. Enter the

desired Store information 1 and 2 and press the

key.(Up to 60 characters and spaces. Depending on the font size on the label, not all characters will print.) Store info 1 and 2 will be printed on the bottom of the label.

Date and Time MENU + S2

Press the

key and then press1 2 1 key. Enter

the current Date in the correct format (MMDDYY)

and press the

key.

Enter the current Time and press the

key .The

next item to select is the symbol or punctuation mark

that separates the Date. This is usually a dash but

you can select any character or symbol that you

want. Select the symbol and press the

key. The

last item to program is the date format. Select the

date format and press the

key. To exit press

Create a New PLU MENU + S3

Press the

several fields that may be programmed for each

PLU. Press number 1 key to enter item code and

confirmed with the

key, Press number 2 key

to enter product name and confirmed with the

key ,Press number 4 key to set the Type of

PLU, press

key. Repeat these steps for all remaining PLU.

Weigh Mode PLU

Code (1 ­ 9999) and press the

first line of the PLU Name and press the

(Up to 38 characters and spaces are available on

each line of PLU Name, keep in mind that the font

size on the label format may not allow you to print

all 38 characters.) Enter the second line of the PLU

Name (if any) and press the

Speed Keys

Recall a PLU, press the

assign a PLU to then select the PLU Number. Repeat

this procedure for all remaining first level Speed

Keys that you want to program. To program the

second level of Speed Keys, long press the

Selecting Label Type

The VLP-100B can print on either a die cut label stock (gaped labels) or on a continuous strip label. To accommodate this feature you must tell the scale which type of labels you are going to use. This feature usually only needs to be done once unless you are changing back and forth between the two types of labels.

  1. Determine which type of labels you are going to use.

  2. Press

key to enter set-up menu.
