Performance and Specification
Performance :
- Coffee brewing guide: Base on the coffee added, the scale can figure out the volume of water needed for brewing a coffee of desired taste.
- Choke of coffee to water ratio for brewing different kinds of coffee.
- Process monitoring, when water is pouring in, a beeper will alert and then alarm user to stop when the required amount is filled.
- Timer function from WOO” up to 59’59’ guiding users to “soak’ and brewing,
- Can be powered by dry cells (AA x 3), or any cell phone charger.
- Also can operate as an ordinary kitchen scale of multi units g, oz, ml, floz, LB, LB: oz
- LCD backlight, auto shut off, Tare, and low battery alert features.

When any touch key is activated, the scale will respond a “D” echo to confirm the activation is successful
To trigger the Timer Function
Up Timer (begin with 00’001: press the “key once will trigger the Up Timer. During the up counting, press the “key once again will hold up the counting; press the key again the counting will resume from where it was. When the counting is held, the Timer display will blink to show that the counting is interrupted. Anytime press and hold this key for 2 seconds, the timer will reset to 00’00”.
Down Timer preset: Press and hold the “Preset/Timer key for 2 seconds, the portion “minute’s will blink, then press the or “V” key to reach the desired number (0 – 99′); press the key again to confirm the minute setting. Then the portion “second” blinks and press the “ ” or “ key to reach the desired number (00″-59″). Press the “Preset/Timer” key again to complete the down timer setting, Yet the timer display will stay blinking.
Down Timer startup: Press the key once to start the down timer. During
the counting, press the “ ” key once will hold up the counting; press the key
again the counting will resume from where it was. When the counting is held,
the Timer display will blink to show that the counting is interrupted. Anytime
press and hold this key for 2 seconds, the timer will reset to 00’00”.
After the down counting is completed the display back to °crow blinkingly and
the beeper will also alarm for 1 minute.
To cease the alarm user can press the once and the display will also stop
blinking.
Timer Reset: When the scale is switched on, the Timer is defaulted to
show 00’00”; The previous Down Timer Setting will not be kept. By press and
hold the ° ” key for 2 seconds can reset the Timer to 00’00” anytime.
Coffee Brewing Procedure and Water Ratio
Notes about brewing coffee with this scale: Be sure to place the scale on
a firm and level table; select from the scale they desired coffee to water
ratio and unit of measurement. Place the brewing fixtures on the scale
platform and make sure they stably stack up. Finally, press the “Coffee” key —
add in coffee powder — Press the “Water” Key — pouring in water until the
scale alarm you to stop.
Users also can preset the down timer because it could help to maintain the
same brewing timing for a consistent taste.
Coffee to water ratio: This scale has 2 default coffee to water ratios,
1:16, 1:18, and a user preset. When the scale is turned on in coffee brewing
mode (by pressing the “coffee” key), the ratio is always 1:16 (please refer to
the figures below).
Press the °coffee” key once for another ratio. The ratio display in sequence
are 1:16— 1:18 —Preset-1:16 (from 1:10 to1:30). User “Preset” enable a choice
from 1:10 to 1:30; please refer to sec 7.0 for details
Adding Coffee and Preparation beforehand

If the user asks for a non-default coffee to water ratio or the unit displayed is not the expected (Metric or US), please preset a value beforehand. Afterwards place the brewing fixtures on the scale platform steadily and press the “Coffee” key once to start the scale in Brewing mode.

This is the initial display in Metric and the ratio is 1:165.

This is the initial display in US and ratio is III
If Ozone does not show 0.0 when turned on, press the ON/OFF/ Tare key once to reset to 0.0; do so whenever needed during the process.
Brewing and Coffee Soaking

Adding Hot Water: Press the “Water key once to begin the water adding mode and zone® will display 0.0m1; then start pouring hot water to the coffee funnel and zone 0 will show how much water has poured continuously. Users are advised to pour water to the funnel evenly and slowly.

After some 2 to 3 g of water is poured to the funnel, the scale will sense the weight changes and trigger the Up Time to count** Also the beeper will alarm “D–0” once every 30 seconds.

When added water is close to the specified volume in zone ®, (The above figure is an example: the specified volume is 400m1, after 350m1 is added, about 50m1 more to finish) , Beeper will change the alarm to “D–D–D–D–D–D”, at this point user should pour water even slower to prevent from overshoot. When the volume added reaches 400m1, Beeper will alarm continuously, telling users to cease pouring (The beeper will alarm for 15seconds. To cease the alarm immediately, press the “Hot Water” key once) and the brewing is completed. ** To coffee lovers, they generally believe that in order to release the most flavor and aroma from the coffee, should let the ground coffee soak with a little bit of water for 30 to 60 seconds before brewing. Then continue to pour in water until the specified volume is reached.

If user wants to continue brewing after the first run, just empty the coffee funnel and clear all the coffee in the Jar. Press and hold the “Coffee” key for about 3 seconds and the corresponding display zone will return to the previous display (as shown below). Thereby users can add coffee and brew again.
To preset the desired Coffee to Water Ratio

When the scale is at OFF status, press and hold the “Coffee” key for 2 seconds and zone OO will display the default ratio 1 ;20 as shown below figure.

Then press the “A” or “Y” key to change the display value until the desired ratio is shown, (available ratio varies from 1:10 to 1:30). Press the “Coffee key once again to confirm the input and the panel will show “Set 1:XX” then switch off automatically. The below figure showed a preset of 1:22

Preset ratio (for example 1:22) will store in the program until the scale is out of power (say during battery replacement). The ratio will back to default 1:20
Features and Operation as a Kitchen Scale

Press hold the “ON/OFF TARE” key for 2 seconds to start the Kitchen mode. The display will be as shown below. In Kitchen mode, only the “ON/OFF TARE” key, “Start/Stop” key, and the “Unit” key (at the bottom) can function, other keys are not operative.

The Features and Key functions in Kitchen mode are listed below:
Switch on the scale: Press the “ON/OFF TARE” key once to turn on the Kitchen scale mode.
Switch off the scale : Press and hold the “ON/OFF TARE° key for 2 seconds. TARE: To clear the reading in the screen during measurement, press the “ON/OFF TARE” key once will clear the reading to 0.0
Unit Change: To change the measurement unit, press the “Unit” key (at
bottom of the scale) once. The units display on the screen are g, ml, floz,
oz, lb, lb:oz-in sequence.
To start the
Timer: Press the “Start-Stop ” key once to start the timer; press this key
once again to hold or to resume the timing. When the timing is on hold, the
display is blinking. However the scale will auto shut off when the timer is on
hold for more than 10 minutes. The timer will keep working to reach 59’59”
even when the scale is the auto shut off. To stop and clear the timer, press
and hold the key for 2 seconds.
Auto Shut Off: the LED backlight and/or the Scale
When the scale is turned on and without any operation, the LED backlight
will turn off in 2 minutes and the scale will switch off in 5 minutes. Any
operation taken before the scale shut off (like adding weight, Tare or
triggering the timer, etc.) will turn on the LED backlight and continue the
scale function. When the timer is going, the LED backlight will keep on.
Use and Precaution of Battery Charger
- This scale can be powered by any Mobile phone charger/adaptor (of output 5 to 12Vdc). A USB Type-C socket is located at the rear of the scale; just plug in the enclosed USB cable with a cell phone charger to power up the scale.
- Alternatively, the scale can also be powered by 3 AA batteries (included); just insert them into the battery compartment correctly and the scale will be operative.
- For energy saving and safety purposes, when the scale is not in service for long, unplug the charging cable and the charger. When the rechargeable battery is worn out, dispose of or recycle the battery per government instruction for the sake of being environmentally friendly.
