FAQ
Q: What should I do if I detect a gas leak?
A: Close the valve immediately, ventilate the area, and contact your supplier or manufacturer for assistance.
Q: Can I use the regulator indoors?
A: No, ensure adequate ventilation and use the device only outdoors.
Explanation of Symbols
- Recycling packaging material. Place the packaging material in the appropriate recycling waste bins wherever possible.
- CAUTION Ensure adequate ventilation. Use this device only outdoors.
- IMPORTANT Read these instructions carefully to become familiar with the device before connecting it to the gas cylinder.
- Keep these instructions for future reference.
Safety and Operating Conditions
- The following instructions must be strictly followed.
- Model A310i is a single-stage pressure regulator for liquefied gas, which keeps the outlet pressure constant within specified limits, regardless of fluctuations to the inlet pressure.
- Before installation, inspect the regulator for signs of damage or loss of integrity.
- The regulator is screwed directly onto the cylinder valve.
- Please ensure that the gas cylinder is always kept in an upright position.
- Always adequately protect the regulator from weather influences.
- Under normal conditions of use, to ensure proper installation, it is recommended to replace this device every 10 years from the date of manufacture.
- Liquefied gas is highly flammable! Relevant laws and regulations must be observed!
- Do not move the cylinder during use.
- The pressure regulator is not suitable for camping trailers and caravans.

Connecting the Regulator to the Gas Appliance
- Before installation, inspect the regulator for signs of damage or loss of integrity.
- Before installation, visually inspect the connections for any metal shavings or other residues.
- The seals must always be kept clean and installed undamaged.
- Attach the supplied rubber hose (3) to the threaded outlet (6) of the regulator. Then connect the other end of the gas hose to the gas appliance you intend to use.
- The gas hose connection (4) should be securely tightened using a wrench to ensure leak-free connections to the regulator and the gas appliance. After assembly, check for leaks using soapy water.
Connecting the regulator to the gas cylinder
Please ensure that:
- all gas valves on the gas appliance are closed;
- the connections to the gas appliance are correctly attached.
- Remove the protective cap from the gas cylinder valve, making sure there is no open flame nearby.
- After ensuring that the gasket (5) on the valve outlet (7) is present and fully functional, attach the regulator to the cylinder valve and tighten the connecting nut (9). Observe the direction indicated by the arrow (10) when tightening the nut.
- The connecting nut should be tightened manually, but ensure a leak-free connection. To tighten the connecting nut, hold the regulator firmly and rotate the connecting nut. The regulator must never be rotated!
- Always check the connection using a soap solution.
Leak Check
- Close all valves on the appliance and open the cylinder valve.
- Then inspect all joint areas with a suitable foam medium, never with a flame.
- If a problem occurs, immediately close the valve and contact the supplier promptly.
- If a leak catches fire before valve (2) is closed, use a damp cloth to close the valve and protect yourself.
Leakage
- Do not use a device that is leaking, damaged, or faulty.
- If you suspect a gas leak, spray soapy water on all connections (the regulator should not be completely immersed in soapy water, as this could lead to unsafe operation of the regulator).
- If there is a leak, bubbles will form at the leak point.
Regulator Operation
- When the A310i regulator is correctly installed, gas is supplied by turning the handwheel in the direction of arrow (11) on the cylinder handwheel valve. To stop the gas supply, turn the handwheel in the opposite direction.
- The regulator is ready for operation immediately after assembly and passing the leak test.
- Start-up is done by slowly opening the cylinder valve in the direction of the arrow. During operation, the gas cylinder must not be moved.
- When the regulator is installed downstream of another regulator, ensure the supply pressure matches the regulated pressure of the upstream regulator, accounting for any pressure losses in the connecting pipework.
- The downstream pressure loss in the installation must not exceed the ΔP-value marked on the device.
- For regulators that can be connected directly to tank or cylinder pressure but not directly to the tank or cylinder outlet, the following statement applies: “This regulating device must not be placed lower than the tank outlet valve or cylinder outlet valve to prevent re-liquefied gas vapor from being drained into the regulator. Pipes and hoses used to connect to the inlet of this regulating device must continuously run back to the tank or cylinder.
Replacing the gas cylinder
Please ensure that:
- all gas valves on the gas appliance are closed;
- the handwheel valve of the gas cylinder is closed.
- Proceed to disassemble the A310i regulator as follows:
- Release the regulator from the empty gas cylinder by loosening the connecting nut.
- Remove the empty gas cylinder from its mounting.
- Install the new gas cylinder securely in place.
- Attach the regulator to the new gas cylinder by tightening the connecting nut.
- Ensure all connections are leak-free by conducting a leak test with soapy water.
- Once verified, open the handwheel valve of the new gas cylinder slowly to resume the gas supply.
- Always handle gas cylinders carefully and ensure proper ventilation during cylinder replacement.
