CAUTION
Ensure adequate ventilation. Use this device only outdoors.
IMPORTANT
Read these instructions carefully to become familiar with the device before
connecting it to the gas cylinder.
Keep these instructions for future reference.
Safety and Operating Conditions
- The A310i / A300i pressure regulators are engineered to supply gas to an appliance at the specified pressure and capacity as indicated on the nameplate.
- The A310i / A300i regulators are compatible with any gas cylinder equipped with a suitable valve for this hand-tightened connection. The gas cylinder must always be operated in an upright position.
- When utilizing the A310i / A300i outdoors, ensure the unit is sufficiently protected from rain.
- Perform a leak test each time you connect your regulator to an appliance or cylinder. Conduct leak inspections using soapy water; never use an open flame.
- Do not use an appliance that leaks, is damaged, or is not functioning correctly.
- In the event of a malfunction, immediately close the valve and contact the supplier.
- If a leak ignites before the valve (2) can be closed, use a wet cloth to safely close the valve and protect yourself.
- Under standard operating conditions, to maintain proper system functionality, it is recommended to replace the regulator within 5 years from the date of manufacture.
- Do not move the cylinder while it is in use.
Connecting
Connecting the gas hose to the regulator outlet nozzle
- Attach a rubber hose (3) to the hose nozzle (6) (apply water to the hose to facilitate easier insertion).
- To ensure a secure connection, use the provided clamps (4) to firmly secure the hose (3).
Mounting on the Gas Cylinder
- Ensure that:
- All valves of the gas appliance are closed.
- The gas hose to the gas appliance is correctly mounted.
- Ensure no open flames are nearby. Remove the protective cap from the valve. Verify that the gasket (5) is present on the valve outlet (1) of the gas cylinder, then fully tighten the hex nut (9) with a wrench. Note the turning direction indicated by the arrow (10). The hex nut should be moderately tightened to ensure a leak-free connection.
- Tighten the hex nut while holding the regulator steady, using a wrench. The regulator itself should never be rotated.
Leak Test
- Do not use an appliance that leaks, is damaged, or is not functioning correctly.
- Close all valves on the appliance and open the cylinder valve. Inspect all connection areas using a suitable foaming solution, never a flame.
- If you suspect a gas leak, apply soapy water to the connection points (do not fully submerge the regulator in soapy water as this may lead to unsafe operation). If there is a leak, bubbles will form at the leak point.
Operation
- The pressure regulator is ready for operation immediately after installation and leak check have been performed.
- If the A310i / A300i is properly connected to the gas cylinder, the gas supply can be opened by turning the handwheel in the indicated direction. Turn the handwhe`el in the opposite direction to stop the gas supply.
- Do not move the gas cylinder during operation.
- The valve and regulator must be adequately protected from exposure to weather at all times.
- Always be sure to close the cylinder valve when the cylinder is not in use.
Gas Cylinder Exchange
- Ensure that:
- All valves on the gas appliance are closed.
- The cylinder valve of the gas cylinder is closed.
- If all valves are closed, you can remove the A310i / A300i pressure regulator by loosening the connection from the gas cylinder.
- Attach the regulator to a full cylinder by following the procedure as explained in section 3.
- When the regulator is installed downstream of another regulator, ensure the supply pressure matches the regulated pressure of the upstream regulator, accounting for any pressure losses in the connecting pipework.
- The downstream pressure loss in the installation must not exceed the ΔP-value marked on the device.
- For regulators that can be connected directly to tank or cylinder pressure but not directly to the tank or cylinder outlet, the following statement applies: “This regulating device must not be placed lower than the tank outlet valve or cylinder outlet valve to prevent re-liquefied gas vapor from being drained into the regulator. Pipes and hoses used to connect to the inlet of this regulating device must continuously run back to the tank or cylinder.
