Power supply
- Before connecting the unit to the power supply, make sure that it is switched off and that the specified electrical volt-age is observed.
- Always switch off the appliance after use with the button on the control unit and disconnect the power supply.
- Never carry, pull or turn the device by the cable.
- The cable and control unit of the appliance can give rise to risks of entanglement, strangulation, tripping or treading if not correctly arranged. The user shall make sure that excess ties and electric cords shall be arranged in a safe way.

Operating the device
- Only use the device for its intended use as in the instruction manual.
- If misused, all guarantee rights shall become null and void.
- Before each use, carefully check the article for signs of wear and/or damage. Do not operate the appliance if you notice wear, damage or signs of improper use.
- If an error occurs, check that the power supply is properly established. Do not open the unit. There are no user-serviceable parts inside the unit.
- The Heated Pad must not be operated folded or bent.
- Do not immerse the device in water or other liquids. If liquid does enter the device, disconnect the power supply immediately.
- Do not use the device in a wet environment (e.g. in the bathroom or similar).
- Do not keep or place any electrical device on a surface where it is in danger of falling into a bathtub or sink.
- Do not use the device while you are sleeping or lying in bed. Danger of burns or heat stroke!
- The device is not suitable for medical use (e.g. in hospitals). Very long periods of use can cause overheating. Always allow the appliance to cool down before using it again.
- Never operate the appliance unattended.
- Do not attach safety pins or other pointed or sharp objects to the appliance or prick it.
- Do not cover the unit when it is on. Never use it under blankets or pillows. There is a risk of fire, electric shock and injury.
- Never store or use the appliance near an electric cooker or other heat sources.
Maintenance and cleaning
- Do not repair the unit yourself in the event of a fault. Re-pairs may only be carried out by an authorised dealer or a suitably qualified person.
- Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
- When storing the appliance, allow it to cool down before storing it.
- Do not place any objects on top of the item during storage to avoid sharp kinks.
- Do not crease the appliance by placing items on top of it during storage.
- Examine the appliance frequently for signs of wear or damage. If there are such signs, if the appliance has been misused or does not work, contact the customer service before switching it on again.

Operating
The medisana Heated Pad OL 800 / OL 850 is characterised by wireless use thanks to the power bank (not included). For operation, you need a commercially available power bank with a USB socket with an output power of 5V/2A (e.g. the medisana power bank art. 60279).
- Connect the USB plug 2 on the device to the USB socket on the power bank.
- Lay out the Heated Pad according to your needs.
- Press the on/off button 1 to switch the unit on. The heat switches on at the lowest level and the LED lights up in yellow.
- By pressing the on/off button 1 for a long time (hold for approx. 1 second), you can switch between heating levels 1, 2 or 3 (medium level 2 = LED orange; highest level 3 = LED red).
- The appliance switches off automatically after 20 minutes or can be switched off by short pressing the the on/off button 1 at any time.
Stow the powerbank in the integrated pocket 3.
Power bank (not included in scope of delivery)
The power bank to be used must be fully charged before first use.
Troubleshooting
If there is no function AT ALL after switching on, please check whether the
power supply is correctly established. If this is the case, the device is
defective. Please do not use the de-vice and contact the service center.
If the LED flashes, this is an indication of other possible faults:
- LED flashes 3 times – short circuit in the heating wire.
- LED flashes 7 times – circuit not closed
- LED flashes 5 times – short-circuit or interruption of the circuit NTC sensor
- If such errors occur, disconnect the warming blanket from the power supply, wait 5 minutes and try to start it up again. If the error cannot be eliminated, stop using the blanket and contact the service centre.
Cleaning and maintenance
- Before cleaning, disconnect the power supply and allow the appliance to cool down for at least 10 minutes.
- Hand wash: Detach the removable cover and soak it in mild soap and cold water for about 15 minutes. Then rinse in fresh, cold water.
- Keep the cable and control unit away from heat, hot sur-faces, moisture and liquids.
- Do not wring or rub the product during or after cleaning!
- May not be bleached, ironed or dry cleaned!
- Do not use the article again until it is completely dry.
- Untwist the cable if it is twisted.
- For storage, the item can be rolled up and tied with the cord 4 and packed in the storage bag. Make sure that the item has cooled down completely before storing it.
Disposal
This product must not be disposed of together with domestic waste. All users are obliged to hand in all electrical or electronic devices, regardless of whether or not they contain toxic substances, at a municipal or commercial collection point so that they can be disposed of in an environmentally acceptable manner. Do not dispose of old batteries resp. the powerbank with your household waste, but at a battery collection station at a recycling site or in a shop. Consult your municipal authority or your dealer for information about disposal.

Warranty and repair terms
Your statutory warranty rights are not restricted by our guarantee below. Please contact your dealer or the service centre in case of a claim under the warranty. If you have to return the unit, please enclose a copy of your receipt and state what the defect is. The following warranty terms apply:
- The warranty period for medisana products is three years from date of purchase. In case of a warranty claim, the date of purchase has to be proven by means of the sales receipt or invoice.
- Defects in material or workmanship will be removed free of charge within the warranty period.
- Repairs under warranty do not extend the warranty period either for the unit or for the replacement parts.
- The following is excluded under the warranty:
- All damage which has arisen due to improper treatment, e.g. non-observance of the user instructions.
- All damage which is due to repairs or tampering by the customer or unauthorised third parties.
- Damage which has arisen during transport from the manufacturer to the consumer or during transport to the service centre.
- Accessories which are subject to normal wear and tear.
- Liability for direct or indirect consequential losses caused by the unit are excluded even if the damage to the unit is accepted as a warranty claim.
