External Stabilizer Pile Guide
The external stabilizer pile guide from Sea Power is a patent-protected, high- density polyethylene (HDPE) product designed to enhance the stability and longevity of floating docks. This stabilizer pile guide is engineered for use with externally placed round piles on floating docks. It is securely bolted to the edge of the dock using either a fixed or adjustable aluminum bracket. Modular Mooring Unit for Drive-on Boat Dock

The Sea Power Marine Products modular mooring unit is a high-density polyethylene (HDPE) unit designed on a modular basis to fit into and secure drive-on boat docks to a fixed or floating dock or pier. Instructions For Installing Internal Stabilizers/Pile Guides In Floater

INSTRUCTIONS
The internal stabilizer/pile guide is to be installed in the framed opening of the floating dock.
- Mark locations to drill the holes for the bolts in the dock using Figure 1 as a reference. Dimensions shown in Figure 1 are approximate and may be adjusted for field conditions. Using a 9/16” drill bit, drill all the holes required. Mount internal stabilizer/pile guide to the floating dock using (8) 1/2” STAINLESS STEEL HEX HEAD BOLTS (length to be determined based on mounting location), (8) 1/2” STAINLESS STEEL FLAT WASHERS on top, (8) 1/2” STAINLESS STEEL FENDER WASHERS below, and (8) 1/2” STAINLESS STEEL LOCKNUTS. See Figure 1. 1/2” STAINLESS STEEL LOCKNUT (8)

INSTRUCTIONS
Clear the location of any debris where the slide will be mounted. Confirm slide will mount flush on top (horizontally) and side (vertically). If slide will not mount flush, determine if shims should be used or if the dock surface will need to be prepped further.

Mark locations to drill the holes for the bolts in the dock using the slide as a template. Using a 9/16” drill bit, drill all the holes required. Mount slide to the vertical portion of the dock using (4) 1/2”X5” carriage bolts, (4) 1/2” washers, and (4) 1/2” locknuts and to the deck of the dock using (2) 1/2”X3” carriage bolts, (2) 1/2” washers, and (2) 1/2” locknuts. See Figures 1 & 2.and (8) 1/2” STAINLESS STEEL LOCKNUTS. See Figure 1. 1/2” STAINLESS STEEL LOCKNUT (8)

To adjust the position of the guide in the slide remove the 1/2” bolts from the area indicated by the black arrows in Figure 3. Reposition the HDPE guide and drill 9/16” diameter hole in the HDPE guide using the existing holes identified by the black arrows in Figure 3 as a template.
Reinstall (2) 1/2”x3” stainless steel hex head bolts, (2) 1/2” stainless steel locknuts, (4) 1/2” stainless steel flat washer, and (4) 1/2” plastic washers through the slide and guide.
Note: Rear of guide should be in range indicated in Figure 4. If installed outside of this range warranty will be voided. In high-traffic areas, it is recommended that the plate that sticks out beyond the slide guide be cut flush to the back of the slide guide. -
For installations in rough water areas, drill (2) 15/64” pilot holes where indicated by the white arrows in Figure 4. Install (2) 3/8”X4” lag bolts and (2) 3/8” flat washer.

- FIXED OR FLOATING DOCK WITH ENOUGH LENGTH TO ATTACH THE FLOATING MODULAR CUBE BOAT LIFT
GUIDELINES
- The Modular Cube Stabilizers (Figure 1) are meant to be installed in place of a modular cube of the boat lift. See Figure 2.
- Install Modular Cube Stabilizer(s) in boat lift. Coordinate location and quantity with modular cube boat lift manufacturer. A minimum of two Modular Cube Stabilizers are required per boat lift.
- Install the SPMP Slide Guides onto dock (floating or fixed) to correspond with the Modular Cube Stabilizer(s). Align the center of the SPMP Slide Guide with the center mark for the SPMP Modular Cube Stabilizer. See SPMP Instructions For Installing Pile Slide/Guide for instructions on attaching the SPMP Slide Guide to the dock. In lieu of attaching a pile guide, an SPMP Modular Cube System Post will be installed in the SPMP Slide Guide.
- Slide an SPMP Modular Cube System Post into each of the Modular Cube Stabilizers and secure to the SPMP Slide Guide per the SPMP Instructions For Installing Pile Slide/Guide. See Figure 3.
- In high-traffic areas, it is recommended that the plate that sticks out beyond the slide guide be cut flush to the back of the slide guide.
- Applications installed on fixed docks will require a locking pin to be installed in the bottom of the SPMP Modular Cube System Post.
- Purchaser/installer shall be responsible for determining the appropriate operable range (wake, tide, lake level, etc.) for each intended use site location.
- For larger lift installations additional stabilizers are recommended. Call SPMP for additional information for custom installations.
Guidelines For Installing Floating Modular Cube Stabilizers For Standalone Boat Lifts

*Note: Modular Cube Stabilizers are available in 8”, 10”, 12”, & 14” sizes to accommodate different pile sizes. - FLOATING MODULAR CUBES – QUANTITY WILL DEPEND ON THE SIZE OF BOAT LIFT REQUIRED. COORDINATE WITH MANUFACTURER OF FLOATING MODULAR CUBE BOAT LIFT.
- PILES (1) – SIZE AND LENGTH DEPENDS ON LOCATION CONDITIONS
GUIDELINES
- The Modular Cube Stabilizers (Figure 1) are meant to be installed in place of a modular cube of the boat lift.
- Install Modular Cube Stabilizer(s) in boat lift. Coordinate location and quantity with modular cube boat lift manufacturer. A minimum of two Modular Cube Stabilizers are required per boat lift.
- Modular Cube Stabilizer can be installed over an existing pile or a new pile can be driven through it. See Figures 2 & 3.
- For shallow water applications install the long side of the stabilizer in the up position.
- For larger lift installations additional stabilizers are recommended. Call SPMP for additional information for custom installations.
