Tetra 29040-00 Bubbling LED Aquarium
For Optimum Filter and Air Stone Performance
- Replace filter cartridge (Small Tetra® Whisper® Bio-Bag® Cartridges) every two to three weeks for optimal aquarium health. Available at your local retailer.
- NEVER plug the Air Pump or Air Stone in without water in the Aquarium.
- NEVER immerse the Air Pump in water. Air Pump NEVER needs oil.
- Clean the outside of the Air Pump with a damp cloth.
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
CAUTION : To prevent possible electrical shock resulting from water back- siphoning, the pump should be used with a check valve or positioned higher than the water level.
DANGER: To avoid possible electrical shock resulting from contact with water, special care should be taken. For each of the following situations, DO NOT attempt repairs yourself.

* If the appliance falls into the water, DO NOT reach for it. First, unplug it and then retrieve it.- If the electrical components of the appliance get wet, unplug the appliance immediately.
- Carefully examine the appliance after installation. It should not be plugged in if there is water on parts not intended to get wet.
- Do not operate any appliance if it has a damaged cord or plug, or if it is malfunctioning or if it has been dropped or damaged in any manner.
- When removing filters, air stones,s or air-operated ornaments from the aquarium, DO NOT let the water run into the pump. Leave air pump running and prevent back-siphoning by removing the open end of the air tubing from the air pump nozzle and taping it to the top frame of the aquarium.
- To avoid getting the appliance plug or receptacle wet, position the aquarium to the side of a wall-mounted outlet. Arrange a drip loop” for each cord connecting an aquarium appliance to an outlet. (See Illustration A.) The drip loop is the part of the cord below the level of the outlet that prevents water from traveling along the cord and coming in contact with the outlet. (if using an extension cord, the drip loop is located below the level of the connector.) If the plug or receptacle gets wet, DO NOT unplug the cord. Disconnect the fuse or circuit breaker that supplies power to the appliance. Then unplug the appliance and examine the outlet for the presence of water.
- Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
- To avoid injury, DO NOT contact moving parts or hot parts such as heaters, reflectors, lamp bulbs, and the like.
- ALWAYS unplug the appliance from an outlet when not in use. NEVER yank the cord to remove the plug from the outlet. Grasp the plug and pull to disconnect.
- DO NOT use the appliance for other than its intended use. The use of attachments not recommended or sold by the appliance manufacturer may cause an unsafe condition.
- Make sure an appliance mounted on a tank is securely installed before operating it.
- If an extension cord is required, a cord with a proper rating should be used. A cord rated for fewer amperes or watts than the total of the various appliance ratings may overheat. Care should be taken to arrange the cord so that it will not be tripped over or pulled.
- DO NOT install or store the appliance where it will be exposed to the weather or to temperatures below freezing.
- This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). As a safety feature, the plug will fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. NEVER use with an extension cord unless the plug can be fully inserted. DO NOT attempt to defeat this safety feature.

airflow. Replacement parts are available in repair kits (sold separately).
IMPORTANT: Always unplug the Air Pump and LED Air Stone before inspecting or beginning any maintenance procedures.
