INSTALLATION
For best performance mount in a sunny position, avoiding shady areas and with no obstructions to the solar panel – south facing is recommended. Ensure there is no other lights which could interfere with the light, imitating daylight and forcing the light off.
- Attach the panel mounting bar, with battery box attached, to the solar panel using the 4x M6 Bolts, lock washers, flat washers and nuts already attached to the 4 relevant mounting holes. Spanner and socket wrench provided.
- Remove the 2x M6 Bolts, lock washers, flat washers and nuts from the side of the mounting bar.
- Attach the 2 main legs of the A-frame to each side, positioning on the inner edge of the side of the mounting bar.
- Secure the A-Frame with the shorter, centre support bars, using the M6 bolts, lock washers, flat washers and nuts attached to the supports. This should be positioned at the inner edge of the main legs.
- Decide which side of the panel you would like the receiver to be located. Remove the M6 bolt & washers from the centre of the controller and attach the controller via the hole on the relevant side of the mounting bar. Note: thread screw from inner side of the mounting bar and then thread into the controller on the outer side, with the cables facing backwards.
- Attach the battery cable (BATT) from the controller to the battery box cable via the plug & play plug (push in and secure with threaded cap)
- Attach the solar panel cable (PV) from the controller to the solar panel via the plug & play plug (as above).
- Use the in-line connector to hard wire the 12v DC LED Lighting circuit to the LED cable of the controller (brown = live / blue = neutral). Note: for plug & play option, connect via the plug & play splitter and plug as per above.
It is recommended to charge the battery for one full day prior to use. During daytime, cover the solar panel and select ‘out’ mode. Do not cover the receiver which is located at the front of side controller.
