Product Usage Instructions
- Read the instruction manual carefully before using the device.
- Connect the USB plug on the device to a power bank with the specified output power.
- Lay out the heated cushion according to your needs.
- Press the on/off button to switch the unit on. The heat starts at the lowest level (LED yellow).

Safety instructions
Read the instruction manual carefully before using this device, especially the safety instructions, and keep the instruction manual for future use. Should you give this device to another person, it is vital that you also pass on these instructions for use.
- Carefully check the heated cushion before each use, if you notice wear or damage.
- Do not operate the appliance if you notice any wear, damage or signs of improper use or if the appliance does not work.
- This appliance is not intended for medical use (e.g. in hospitals etc.)
- Before connecting the device to your power supply, please ensure that the supply voltage stated on the rating plate is compatible with your mains supply.
- Do not fold or crease the heated cushion during use.
- Neither pierce the cushion with, nor attach safety pins or other spiky or sharp objects to the device.
- Do not use the heated cushion on children or persons who are disabled, asleep or insensitive to heat (persons who cannot react on overheating). This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision and instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and un-derstand the hazards involved.
- Children shall not play with the appliance.
- Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
- Children below the age of 3 years are not allowed to use this device, because they are not able to react on overheating.
- The heated cushion must not be used by young children over the age of 3 years, unless the control unit has been adjusted accordingly by its parents or legal guardians and unless the child has been well instructed how to use the control unit properly.
- The appliance can be used by children older than 3 years and younger than 8 years under supervision, but the control unit must always be set to the lowest level.
- Never use the heated cushion unsupervised.
- The device is only for private use and is not to be used in hospitals.
- Do not fall asleep while the heated cushion is switched on.
- Prolonged use of the heated cushion at a high setting could lead to skin burns.
- Do not cover the device with any other cushions.
- Do not sit on the heated cushion. Instead, rest it on or against the part of the body to be treated.
- Never touch a device that has fallen into water.
- Keep the cable away from hot surfaces.
- Do not use the heated cushion when wet and only use it in dry environments (not in the bathroom or similar environments).
- The controls and leads must not be exposed to any kind of moisture.
- If a fault occurs, do not attempt to repair the unit yourself. Repairs must only be carried out by an authorized specialist dealer or other suitably qualified personnel.
- Do not store the device with any objects covering or resting on top of it in order to avoid sharp crinkles.
- Should you have any concerns about health issues, consult your doctor before using the device.
- Do not use the heated cushion on parts of the body that are swollen, injured or inflamed.
- Should you experience persistent pains in the muscles and joints, please inform your doctor. Persistent pains can be a symptom of serious illness.
- If you wear a pacemaker, please be aware that the electromagnetic fields emanating from this electric product may, under certain circumstances, interfere with the functions of your pacemaker. Therefore, ask your doctor and the manufacturer of the pacemaker for advice before using this product.
- If you experience any pain or discomfort while using the unit, stop using it immediately.

any way. In case of doubt, do not use the it and contact your dealer or your
service centre.

Operating
The medisana Heated cushion is characterised by wireless use thanks to the power bank (not included). For operation, you need a commercially available power bank with a USB socket with an output power of 5V/2A (e.g. the medisana power bank art. 60279).
- Connect the USB plug on the device to the USB socket on the power bank.
- Lay out the Heated cushion according to your needs.
- Press the on/off button to switch the unit on. The heat switches on at the lowest level and the LED lights up in yellow.
- By pressing the on/off button for a long time (hold for approx. 1 sec-ond), you can switch between heating levels 1, 2 or 3 (medium level 2 = LED orange; highest level 3 = LED red).
- The appliance switches off automatically after 20 minutes or can be switched off by short pressing the the on/off button at any time.
Stow the powerbank in the integrated pocket. If you do not use the item for a longer period of time, disconnect it from the power supply (power bank).
Power bank (not included in scope of delivery)
The power bank to be used must be fully charged before first use.
Troubleshooting
If there is no function AT ALL after switching on, please check whether the power supply is correctly established. If this is the case, the device is defective. Please do not use the device and contact the service center. If the LED flashes, this is an indication of other possible faults:
- LED flashes 3 times – short circuit in the heating wire.
- LED flashes 7 times – circuit not closed
- LED flashes 5 times – short-circuit or interruption of the circuit NTC sensor
If such errors occur, disconnect the heated cushion from the power supply, wait 5 minutes and try to start it up again. If the error cannot be eliminated, stop using the device and contact the service centre.
Cleaning and maintenance
- Before cleaning, disconnect the power supply and allow the appliance to cool down for at least 10 minutes.
- Clean the removable cover carefully with a slightly damp cloth.
- Keep all other parts of the heated cushion away from heat, hot surfaces, moisture and liquids.
- Do not wring or rub the product during or after cleaning!
- May not be bleached, ironed or dry cleaned!
- Do not use the article again until it is completely dry.
- Untwist the cable if it is twisted.
- When storing the appliance, allow it to cool down before folding.
Disposal
This product must not be disposed of together with domestic waste. All users
are obliged to hand in all electrical or electronic devices, regardless of
whether or not they contain toxic substances, at a municipal or commercial
collection point so that they can be disposed of in an environmentally
acceptable manner. Do not dispose of old batteries resp. the powerbank with
your household waste, but at a battery collection station at a recycling site
or in a shop. Consult your municipal authority or your dealer for information
about disposal.

Warranty and repair terms
Your statutory warranty rights are not restricted by our guarantee below. Please contact your dealer or the service centre in case of a claim under the warranty. If you have to return the unit, please enclose a copy of your receipt and state what the defect is. The following warranty terms apply:
- The warranty period for medisana products is three years from date of purchase. In case of a warranty claim, the date of purchase has to be proven by means of the sales receipt or invoice.
- Defects in material or workmanship will be removed free of charge within the warranty period.
- Repairs under warranty do not extend the warranty period either for the unit or for the replacement parts.
- The following is excluded under the warranty:
- All damage which has arisen due to improper treatment, e.g. non-observance of the user instructions.
- All damage which is due to repairs or tampering by the customer or unauthorised third parties.
- Damage which has arisen during transport from the manufacturer to the consumer or during transport to the service centre.
- Accessories which are subject to normal wear and tear.
- Liability for direct or indirect consequential losses caused by the unit are excluded even if the damage to the unit is accepted as a warranty claim.
