Product Usage Instructions

• Refer to Page 4 of the user manual for quick wiring and programming instructions for automatic gates.
• Refer to Page 5 of the user manual for quick wiring and programming instructions for electric strikers.
• A standard user can be added with or without an ID number. It is recommended to use the ID number method for easier user management in the future.
• To add a PIN Code User: Enter Master code #, ID number # (4 digits), and Pin code #.
• To add a Swipe Card User: Enter Master code #, ID number #, then read the card.
• To add a card user without an ID number: Enter Master code #, then add the card.
• To add a PIN user without an ID number: Enter the Master code #, then add the PIN code.
• To delete users, follow the instructions provided in the user manual. Users can be deleted by card, PIN code, ID number, or all users at once.
• The system can be set to be used by card only, PIN code only, or both card and PIN together for dual authentication. Follow the instructions in the manual to set the desired usage method.

Description

• The APC Automation Systems ® MondoPlus is a standalone access control keypad with a Swipe card reader as well as control by APP from anywhere in the world.
• Both Fail Secure and Fail Safe locks can be used and also allow the integration of exit buttons and allow the user to generate a temporary code remotely through the APP.

Installation

• Fix the mounting plate as per the two holes (A and C) on the plate to the surface in which the keypad will be installed.
• Feed the keypad cable through hole B ensuring that any unused wires are isolated from one another.
• Fit the keypad to the mounting plate and fix it in place using the phillips screw underneath.

Programming

Adding Standard Users

• A standard user can be added with and without a ID number, it is recommended to use the ID number method as it will simplify deleting a user in the future.
• If you do not use the assign the ID number you may need to delete all users when needing to remove a user.

Deleting Users

• Cards can be deleted continuously
• When the card is broken or lost, you can delete the user by ID number Pins can be deleted continuously you can delete the pin code using user ID number.
• Delete ALL PIN codes & card users except the public PIN code.

Setting the Usage Method

• The system can be set to be used by card OR PIN code (Default), CARD ONLY, Card and Pin together (Dual Authentication).

Set Strike-out Alarm

• The strike-out alarm will engage after 10 failed entry attempts (Factory is OFF). It can be set to deny access for 10 minutes after engaging or disengage only after entering a valid Card/ PIN or Master code/Card card.

Audible and Visual Response

• Keypad Sound and LED light can be Enabled or disabled using below codes.

Wiegand Reader Mode

• Used when the system is connected to a Wiegand system and is to be used as a Wiegand reader.

Service Free Changes

• If necessary the following changes can be made without the need to enter the programming state.

Relay Time

• The delay time is adjustable from 1 to 99 Seconds, the default setting is 5 seconds. Ideally, for gate and garage doors, the time should be set to 1 second, for electric strikers and magnetic locks it can be set to the preferred release time.

Setting the Relay to Timed or Latching Mode

• The relay time can be set to a timed state as per above or a latching circuit for ON/OFF applications. For gate and garage doors along with electric strikers and magnetic locks, the system should be set to timed mode which is the default.
• When using latching mode first code/card will latch the relay on, the next will latch the relay off.

Changing the Master Code

• The Master code can be changed to prevent unauthorized access into the keypad programming menu. This is NOT a PIN code to operate the keypad.

Factory Reset and Programming Master Add & Delete Cards

• Power OFF, press and hold the exit button Power ON the keypad still holding the exit button now a double beep will sound, so release the exit button.
• The LED will illuminate ORANGE for 10 seconds this is the window to swipe through the MASTER ADD Card then the MASTER DELETE Card
• If you do not have/do not wish to program Master Cards then just wait 10 seconds till the keypad returns to RED (Standby color).
• The master code has been reset to 123456, and factory default settings are successful.
• Registered user data won’t be deleted when reset to the factory default

Quick Setup for Electric Striker

Connection to Electric Striker (Fail Secure Type)

Note: Power supply voltage must be suitable according to the electric striker’s voltage and amperage requirements and must be within the keypad’s working parameter of 12-18 V DC.

Data Backup Mode

1. Set the device to receive data into Data Input Mode
2. Set the device to send data into the Data Output Mode

If successful the LED will flash green during the process and then return to LED red after completion

APP Configuration

APP Install and Registration (All Users)

1. Download Tuya Smart from the APP Store on your Android/Apple Device.
2. Open the App and register an account ensuring you select “Australia” as the country
3. Login after registration. NOTE: Each user must register their own account.

APP Preparation (Home Owners Device)

1. Go to “Me”
2. Go to “Home Management”
3. Select “My Home…”
4. Name the home
5. Set the Location
6. Deselect ALL the rooms except the one where the indoor monitor is installed.
7. Press Save

Adding the Keypad to the Administrator (Home Owners) Device

1. Open the APP and Press Add Device
2. Set the Keypad into the Wi-Fi Pairing state
3. Click Auto Scan to ensure Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are ON
4. One the Mondo has been found press Next
5. Enter the Wi-Fi password
6. Final Configuration

Sharing with another User(Administrator/ordinary member)

Note: The member that you shared to must be registered to the Tuya App First.

1. Go into the APP and select the Keypad
2. Press the member manage
3. Select the user type administrator/ordinary member.
4. Select + icon
5. ADD user details and Tuya account details and then press Next.
6. An invitation will be sent to the user.

Manage Members

Note: The Owner (Super Master) can decide the effective time (Permanent or Limited) to the members.

1. Press the member to manage
2. Select the member to manage.
3. Select the Effective time
4. customize the effective time and Save.
5. Effective time will be displayed on the member account.

Note: Can add a swipe Card via App support with the following procedure. Swipe cards must be presented near the keypad during this process.

5. Keep the Swipe Tag near the reader.
6. Card Add success page will appear once the reader is detected.

Delete user pin code/ Card

Note: Using the same process we can delete CODE or Card from the user.

Temporary Code

• Temporary Code can be created or Randomly generated using APP and can be shared with the guest/Users by (WhatsApp, skype, emails and WeChat)
• Two types of Temporary code can be created CYCLICITY and ONCE.
• CYCLICITY: Code can be created for a particular period, a particular day, and Particular Time.
• For example, Valid from 9:00 am ~ to 5:00 pm every Monday~Friday from May to August.
• ONCE: One-time Code can be created, valid for 6 hours, and can only be used Once.

CYCLICITY

1. Press on the temporary code
2. Select cyclicity fill in the details and save.
3. A temporary code is created
4. pin code can be shared by clicking on the share button.

ONCE

1. Press on the temporary code
2. Select Once fill the code name and click on Save offline code.
3. A temporary code is created
4. pin code can be shared by clicking on the share button.

Note: One-time Code can be created, valid for 6 hours, and can only be used Once.

Edit Temporary Code

Temporary code can be deleted, edited or renamed in the valid period

1. Press on the temporary code then Log the record
2. Select the log record you desire to change
3. Delete/Edit/Rename

Timer/ Door keep Open

1. Press on settings
2. Door keep open
3. Turn ON the Door Keep Open and Customize the open time.
4. Can add one more open period
5. can see the details In the Highlighted box.

Setting

Remote unlock setting

• The default is on. Once turned off, all the mobile users will not be able to access the lock by APP

Permission setting

• The default is Permission all. Can be set to Permission admin only.

Passage set

• The default is Public. All mobile users have passage permission. Once turned off, we can give the passage permission to specific mobile users.

Automatic Lock

• The default is on. Automatic Lock on: Pulse Mode Automatic Lock off: Latch Mode

Auto lock time

• The default is 5 seconds. It can be set from 0~100 seconds.

Alarm time

• The default is 1 minute. It can be set from 1 ~3 minutes.

Doorbell volume

• It can set the device buzzer volume to Mute. Low. Middle and High.

Log(including open History and Alarms)

• Log open history and Alarms can be viewed by clicking on the Notification icon as shown in the picture

Remove Device & Reset Wifi Blinding

Note

• Disconnect is just removing the device from the APP. The users (card/ fingerprint /code) are still retained
• (If Super Master is Disconneted, all other members will have no access to the device)
• Disconnect and wipe data is unbinding the device and resetting the WiFi.
• (Means this device can be connected by other new users) Method 2 to reset the WiFi

WARRANTY

APC WARRANTY

• APC warrants the original purchasers or the APC system for twelve months from the date of purchase (not installation), the product shall be free of defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.
• During the warranty period, APC shall, as its option, repair or replace any defective product upon return of the product to its factory, at no charge for labor and materials.
• Any replacement and/or repaired parts are warranted for the remainder of the original warranty,
• The original owner must promptly notify APC in writing that there is a defect in material or workmanship, such written notice must be received in all events before expiration of the warranty.

International Warranty

• APC shall not be responsible for any freight fees, taxes or customs fees.

Warranty Procedure

• To obtain service under this warranty, AND AFTER CONTACTING APC, please return the item(s) in question to the point of purchase.
• All authorized distributors and dealers have a warranty program, anyone returning goods to APC must first obtain an authorization number. APC will not accept any shipment for which prior authorization has not been used.

Conditions to Void Warranty
This warranty applies only to defects in pairs and workmanship relating to normal use. It does not cover:

• Damage incurred in shipping or handling
• Damage caused by disasters such as fire, flood, wind, earthquake or lightning
• Damage due to causes beyond the control of APC such as excessive voltage, mechanical shock or water damage
• Damage caused by unauthorized attachment, alterations, modifications, or foreign objects.
• Damage caused by peripherals (unless such peripherals were supplied by APC)
• Defects caused by failure to provide a suitable installation environment for the products
• Damage caused by usage of the products for purposes other than those for which it was designed.
• Damage from improper maintenance
• Damage arising out of any other abuse, mishandling, and improper application of the products.

Under no circumstances shall APC be liable for any special, incidental, or consequential damages based upon breach of warranty, breach of contract, negligence, strict liability, or any other legal theory. Such damages include loss of profits, loss of the product or any associated equipment, cost of capital, cost of substitute or replacement equipment, facilities or services, downtime, purchaser’s time, the claims of third parties, including customers, and injury to property.

Disclaimer of Warranties
This warranty contains the entire warranty and shall be in place of all other warranties, whether expressed or implied (including all implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose). And of all other obligations or purporting to act on its behalf to modify or to change this warranty, nor to assume for it any other warranty or liability concerning this product.

Out of Warranty Repairs
APC will at its option repair or replace out-of-warranty products which are returned to its factory according to the following conditions. Anyone returning goods to APC must first obtain an authorization number.
APC will not accept any shipment whatsoever for which prior authorization has not been obtained. Products that APC determines to be repairable will be repaired and returned. A set fee which APC has been predetermined and which may be revised from time to time will be charged for each unit repaired. Products that APC determines are not repairable will be replaced by the nearest equivalent product available at that time. The current market price for the replacement product will be charged for each replacement unit.
