DANGER: This product utilises a Class 1 laser to read Compact Discs. This laser Compact Disc Player is equipped with safety switches to avoid exposure when the CD door is open and the safety interlocks are defeated. Invisible laser radiation is present when the CD Player’s lid is open and the system’s interlock has failed or been defeated. It is very important that you avoid direct exposure to the laser beam at all times. Please do not attempt to defeat or bypass the safety switches.

NOTE : This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits

ADDITIONAL SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
a. Do not expose this unit or the AC/DC adaptor to dripping or splashing
water. Keep liquid-filled objects, such as vases, away from this unit and
AC/DC adaptor.
b. To ensure that this unit is completely disconnected, unplug it from
the wall.
c. Ensure that the AC/DC adaptor is easily accessible.
d. Please note the information printed underneath the unit.
e. Batteries should not be exposed to excessive heat such as direct
sunshine, fire, etc.
f. Do not impede the ventilation of this unit by covering the ventilation
openings with items such as newspapers, table-cloths, curtains, etc.
g. Keep open flames, such as lighted candles, away from this unit.
h. Do not place this unit in closed bookcases, racks, or other spaces
without proper ventilation.
i. Use only the same or equivalent type batteries as there is a danger of
explosion if the incorrect batteries are used or they are installed
incorrectly.
j. Dispose of batteries properly according to environmental regulations.
AC Power Source
Connect one end of the AC power cord into the AC In jack (located on the rear of the unit) and the other end to a wall outlet providing 120V AC, 60Hz.
NOTE : Disconnect both ends of the power cord when not in use.
Battery Operation
For portable use, insert batteries as described below:
- Open the battery door by sliding out and lifting it up.
- Insert six (6) C size batteries (not included) following the correct polarity indicated in the battery compartment. Alkaline batteries are recommended for the longest playing time.
- Replace the battery door back on the compartment.
Battery Precautions
Follow these precautions when using batteries in this device:
- Warning – Danger of explosion if batteries are incorrectly replaced. Replace only with the same or equivalent type.
- Use only the size and type of batteries specified.
- Be sure to follow the correct polarity when installing the batteries as indicated in the Battery Compartment. A reversed battery may cause damage to the device.
- If the device is not to be used for a long period of time, remove the batteries to prevent damage or injury from possible battery leakage.
- Do not try to recharge a battery not intended to be recharged – it can overheat and rupture (Follow battery manufacturer’s directions.)
- Do not mix different types of batteries together (e.g. Alkaline, Rechargeable and Carbon-zinc) or old batteries with fresh ones.

CD Operation (CD, CD-R, CD-R/W, MP3 CD)

Press and hold POWER/FUNCTION to turn on the unit.

Press POWER/FUNCTION to switch to CD mode.
- Repeatedly press POWER/FUNCTION to cycle through and select the desired mode as below: CD, Bluetooth, Radio (press AM/FM to switch to FM or AM), AUX, Cassette

Press to open CD door, place a CD into the unit, label side facing up and close the CD door.
- Press to start or pause playback
- Press or to skip tracks on a disc
- Press and hold or to fast backward or forward.
- Press to stop playback.

When playing CD, CD-R, CD-RW
- Press REPEAT/RANDOM to cycle through and select the desired mode as below:
Repeat (repeat the current song, will flash in the display), Repeat All (repeat the whole disc, will show in the display), Random (play all the tracks in random order, will show in the display), Normal Play.
- Press REPEAT/RANDOM to cycle through and select the desired mode as below:

When playing MP3 CD
- Press REPEAT/RANDOM to cycle through and select the desired mode as below:
Repeat (repeat the current song, will flash in the display), Repeat Folder (repeat the current folder, FOLDER will show in the display), Repeat Whole Disc Folder (repeat the whole disc folder, will show in display), Random (play all the folders in random order, will show in the display), Normal Play.
- Press REPEAT/RANDOM to cycle through and select the desired mode as below:
Programming a CD/MP3 CD
- When in the STOP mode, press PROG, “P01” will show in the display and “PROG” indicator will flash.
- Press or to select a track.
- Press PROG to confirm the selection and add it to the program.
- Repeat step 2 and 3 to program additional tracks, up to a maximum of 30 tracks for CD and 99 tracks for MP3 CD.
- Press / SCAN to start programmed playback. Press twice to end the program.
NOTE : When trying to program more than the maximum no. of tracks, “FUL” will flash in the display.
Radio Operation
- Press and hold POWER/FUNCTION to turn on the unit.
- Press POWER/FUNCTION to switch to Radio mode.
- Repeatedly press POWER/FUNCTION to cycle through and select the desired mode as below: CD, Bluetooth, Radio (press AM/FM to switch to FM or AM), AUX, Cassette
- Press AM/FM to switch to FM or AM as desired.
- Adjust the antenna for optimum reception.
- Press or to manually tune the radio frequency.
- Press and hold or for auto tuning. The tuner will search and stop on the next strongest stations it finds. Repeat this step until the desired radio frequency appears on the display
AM/FM Radio Presets
- Tune to the desired AM/FM frequency (see above steps).
- Press and hold PROG, “P01” will show in the display and “PROG” indicator will flash.
- Press or to select a preset number. Press PROG to save that preset.
- Up to each 20 stations of AM and FM can be saved (P01-P20).
- To listen to preset radio stations, with radio ON, press PROG, preset number will show in the display. Press or to select a stored preset number for the desired radio station.
NOTE: If you do not press any button for few seconds while selecting the stored preset number, the display will return to show the radio frequency.
Setting Radio Presets
Automatic presetting radio station:
- To select AM or FM radio.
- Press and hold / SCAN, then it will start automatic presetting and saving radio station. Tuning begins from the lowest frequency and save it in ascending order.
NOTE : Saving a new station preset in the same position as a previously saved station will replace the previously stored station for that preset number.
Cassette Operation
Playing a tape
- Press and hold POWER/FUNCTION to turn on the unit.
- Press to open the cassette door, insert a cassette tape into the cassette tape compartment and then push the door to close it.
- Press POWER/FUNCTION to switch to Cassette mode, ‘tAP” will show on display.
- Press to start playback.
- Press to pause playback. Press again to resume.
- Press to stop playback.
- Press or to fast forward or rewind.
- Press to eject the cassette.
Recording on a tape
- Press and hold POWER/FUNCTION to turn on the unit and then change to the source you want to record.
- To record CD tracks or MP3 files on a disc Place a disc in the CD compartment. Make sure not to start playback. See “CD Operation”.
- To record a radio program Tune to the desired station. See “Radio Operation”.
- To record sound from a connected optional device Press POWER/FUNCTION to switch to AUX mode. Connect an optional device such as mobile phone, digital musical player, etc to the AUX IN jack of the unit.
- Press , insert a cassette tape into the cassette tape compartment and then close the compartment cover.
- Press to start recording (the Play button will depress automatically at the same time).
- When recording from a disc Playback starts automatically and recording of all the tracks/files on the disc proceeds from the first track/file. Or select the track/file on the disc and the following tracks/files for recording. When the tape reaches the end, recording stops automatically.
- When recording a radio program or sound from a connected optional device Recording continues until the tape reaches the end.
- Press to pause recording. Press again to resume.
- Press to stop recording.
Bluetooth Operation
- Press and hold POWER/FUNCTION to turn on the unit.
- Press POWER/FUNCTION to switch to Bluetooth mode. “bt” will flash on the display.
- Turn on your compatible A2DP Bluetooth device and enable Bluetooth. Search for Bluetooth devices and select “onn. CD Boombox”.
- When pairing is successful, there is a notification sound and “bt” on the display will change from flashing to solid.
- Press / SCAN to start or pause music playback.
NOTES : Press and hold / SCAN for 3 seconds to disconnect the current
Bluetooth connection. The unit will return to pairing mode and “bt” on the
display will flash.
If there is no device connection or operation within 10 minutes, the unit will
automatically turn off.
AUX IN
- Press and hold POWER/FUNCTION to turn on the unit.
- Press POWER/FUNCTION to switch to AUX mode. “AUX” will show on the display. Insert one end of the 3.5mm audio cable (sold separately) into the AUX IN jack on the side of the unit and the other hand into your external audio device (e.g. mobile phone, digital musical player, etc.)
- Select the music you wish to listen to on your external audio device and press play to start playback.
