Pros and Cons

Pros

• A stronger carry handle on top, which is one of the first things that breaks when a bag is too heavy.
• Great front organizer pocket—not too little or too much, just the right amount of space for stuff
• Front vertical pocket with quick access (must-have)
• Molded area for sunglasses (my shades are in perfect condition)
• Main box (big enough for one day’s worth of stuff)
• Side pocket for wet and dry items (just big enough for a man’s size 12 shoes and boots, or I use it for my sweaty gym clothes after a workout)
• The mesh pocket on the right side holds my tall 24oz water bottle, but it’s too small and not stretchy enough to hold a bigger bottle. I also use a clip to attach the bottle’s lid to the pack.
• The ScanSmart back panel is great for security checks.
• The straps are strong and comfy, and the chest strap works great.
• Right strap has a sunglass hook that I use when I go into a store with my backpack on.
  I was looking for a cleaner design at first, but this bag’s features made me decide to buy it. It’s just right, and the bottom of the laptop slide-in area has padding, so your laptop will be safe on all sides.

Cons

• you can read more about this in another review, but the small mesh bag on the left strap is true. My old iPhone 5 fits in there, but it’s a pain to get it out. It’s been used to hold a charge cord.

• Would love it if the vertical zipper on the front pocket could be locked, or at least if there was fabric that could go over the zipper to make it less likely to be stolen. That’s a great place to keep your wallet, ID, phone, and other small items that you need quickly.

• I’d like to see secret pockets on the straps so I can quickly get to my debit card or hotel room key.

• I’m glad there are compression straps, but the links could be stronger. It would be even better if there were a total of 4 straps, two on top and two on the bottom.
  It seems like the sunglass holder makes the top of the bag sink in a little. They should make the fabric stronger by making it a little stiffer so the bag stays in shape.

• the heated pocket hasn’t worked at all so far. The pocket isn’t very big to begin with, and the zipper hole only goes halfway down.

• It would be great if the chest strap could be taken off and stored before the trip.

• Put a very thin pouch on the bottom (this would also protect against shocks) that can hold a perfectly sized rain cover and stay connected at all times.
