Product Usage Instructions

  • Place the coffee maker on a flat and stable surface.
  • Connect the appliance to a grounded power outlet.
  • Open the water reservoir lid and pour water into the reservoir (2 to 12 cups as indicated on the water level indicator).
  • Use the permanent filter or insert a paper filter (size 1 x 4) in the filter holder.
  • Open the filter holder and discard the used paper filter or clean the permanent filter in warm water and dry it thoroughly.
  • Clean the filter holder with warm soapy water, rinse, and dry before reassembling.
  • Clean the glass pot in hot soapy water.
  • Wipe the exterior of the appliance with a damp cloth, ensuring no moisture enters inside.
  • Only the glass pot, permanent filter, and filter holder are dishwasher safe. Do not use abrasive cleaners or sharp objects for cleaning.

OPERATION

Unpack the device and remove all packaging parts. Clean the device before using it for the first time (see ‘Cleaning and maintenance’).

  1. Place the appliance on a flat and steady surface.
  2. This appliance must be connected to an earthed socket.
  3. Open the lid of the water reservoir (7). Pour sufficient water into the reservoir (not less than 2 cups and not more than 12 cups, as shown on the water-level indicator (8).
  4. Use the permanent filter (1) or put a paper filter (1 x 4) in the filter holder. Fill the paper filter with the required amount of ground coffee (the customary quantity is 1 level scoop (6) for each cup).
  5. Connect the plug (10) to the wall socket. Switch on the appliance by pushing the On/Off button on the control panel (11). The control light will now illuminate and the coffee will be prepared.
  6. It is also possible to delay the brewing of coffee. Set the time in the display to the current time using the ‘Hour’ and ‘Min’ buttons. Then click on ‘Prog’ and use ‘Hour’ and ‘Min’ to set the time when the coffee machine should start. Click ‘Prog’ again, the start time is now set. The pause-and-serve (3) function enables you to pour a cup of coffee before the coffee maker has finished. Replace the glass pot quickly, to prevent the filter from overflowing.
  7. The coffee machine automatically stops when the brewing is done. If you wish to halt the brewing prematurely, you can push On/Off again. The control light will extinguish.
  8. Remove the plug from the wall socket.

Allow the appliance to cool down before using it to brew additional coffee!

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

  1. Open the filter holder. Dispose of the paper filter or remove the permanent filter from the casing, clean it in warm water, and dry it thoroughly.
  2. Remove the opened filter holder from the housing and clean it with warm water and dish soap. Then rinse well with clean water and dry thoroughly. Place the filter holder back in the housing and put the permanent filter back.
  3. Clean the glass pot in hot washing-up water.
  4. Clean the outside of the appliance with a damp cloth. Make sure no moisture gets into the appliance.

Only the glass pot, permanent filter, and filter holder may be immersed in water and are dishwasher safe. Never use corrosive or scouring cleaning agents or sharp objects (such as knives or hard brushes) to clean the appliance.
Descaling
We advise the use of a suitable descaling agent to remove any scale. Always follow the instructions for the descaling agent. The amount of scale will be reduced when you use a water softener.
