- 1994-2001 Acura Integra (Type-R requires ITR rear adapters) 1996-2000 Honda Civic (shims included)
- Some applications may require a new 17mm nut
- Coilovers are not preset from BLOX Racing. Installer must pre-load and set ride height.
- Purchaser must check contents and make sure nothing is missing.
- Do not modify or disassemble the shock absorber assembly in any way. Doing so will void all warranties.
- Do not cut or modify the coilover suspension bump stop. Doing so will void all warranties.
- It is highly recommended to have a wheel alignment done after installation.
- You must use an Allen wrench key and hand wrench to tighten the center shaft nut (hand-tight) during the final installation.
- Do not use impact tools.
- Re-torque bolts after the 1st 500 miles or after each track racing event.
- BLOX RACING DRAG PRO SERIES COILOVER SUSPENSION IS DESIGNED AND INTENDED TO BE USED ON DRAG STRIPS ONLY. USING PRODUCT ON STREETS AND HIGHWAYS MAY VOID THE WARRANTY.
REQUIRED TOOLS
- 12mm, 14mm, 17mm Socket and Box Wrenches
- Torque wrench
- Jack and Jack stands
- Lug nut wrench
- BEFORE INSTALLING THE PRODUCT, PLEASE READ THE INSTALLATION GUIDE FIRST.
- IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS, PLEASE REFERENCE THE VEHICLE’S FACTORY SERVICE MANUAL OR CALL AN EXPERIENCED MECHANIC OR TECHNICIAN.
FRONT ASSEMBLY
- Loosen lug nuts on both wheels. Raise the front end of the vehicle and secure on to jack stands. Remove both wheels.
- Starting with one side, remove the (2) 14mm shock tower nuts <36 ft/lbs> located underneath the hood.
- Remove the (2) 12mm brake line bolts located behind the shock assembly.
- Remove the 17mm nut and bolt <47 ft/lbs> that attaches the fork to the lower control arm.
- Remove the 14mm bolt <32 ft/lbs> that attaches the shock to the fork.
- Remove the shock and spring assembly. Support the brake assembly to prevent the axle from coming out of the transmission.
- Place the new coilover suspension into the fork. Install the coilover suspension top mount.
- Adjust the coilover for the desired height. Lock spring perches into place with the supplied spanner wrench.
- After coilover suspension has been put into place, the suspension must be pre-loaded. Place jack stands underneath the control arm and lowers the vehicle so that the jack stand raises the suspension.
- Tighten all bolts to recommended torque settings.
REAR ASSEMBLY
- Loosen lug nuts on both wheels. Raise the front end of the vehicle and secure on to jack stands. Remove both wheels.
- Remove the 17mm bolt <40 ft/lbs> attaching the shock and spring assembly to the lower control arm.
- Remove the 17mm bolt <40 ft/lbs> attaching the locating arm to the trailing arm. Placing the jack underneath the brake rotor will help alleviate some of the pressure.
- Loosen the (2) 14mm shock tower nuts <36 ft/lbs> located in the rear trunk panel. Some of the rear interior panels may have to be removed to gain access to the shock towers.
- Remove the shock and spring assembly.
- Place the new coilover suspension into the fork. Install the coilover suspension top mount.
- NOTE: for 1996-2000 Honda Civic, install shims inside fork and lower control arm
- Adjust the coilover for the desired height. Lock spring perches into place with the supplied spanner wrench.
- After coilover suspension has been put into place, the suspension must be pre-loaded. Place jack stands underneath the control arm and lowers the vehicle so that the jack stand raises the suspension.
- Tighten all bolts to recommended torque settings.
1989-1991 Honda Civic EF
- Front – Replace factory front forks with Civic EG forks (F.1)
- Front – Brake line fastening will need to be done as coilover housing does not have brackets. (F.2)
- Rear – Read does not come with welded bolt (R.1). Bolt, washer, and nut needed (R.2)
