IMPORTANT
- Microwave vents have been designed and slanted to expel smoke in a specific direction. It is important that the magnetized sensor be positioned above or beside these vents to ensure the expelled smoke passes directly over/into the sensor.
- Refer to these sample images to correctly position the sensor on the microwave.
- In some instances, microwave vents may be located underneath or at the back of the microwave (do not confuse the air intake holes on the back as vents). Again the sensor should be positioned so that expelled smoke will pass directly over/into the sen

- LED on Sensor lights up after connecting power indicating the Sensor is monitoring microwave.
- To test the operation, press the test button on the Sensor module and hold for 3 seconds. There will be beeping and an LED will flash indicating that the circuit is ready to detect smoke.
- If smoke is detected by the Sensor it will interrupt power to the microwave, the LED will flash and the Sensor will beep for 5 seconds indicating that the cooking process has stopped then power to the microwave will be restored automatically but cooking will not continue until attended to by the user.
