Description of connector: The MERABELL AQUA connector consists of
corrugated stainless steel that conforms with EN ISO 10380 with a protective
coating on which stainless steel terminals are welded. The connector is
intended for connecting service and drinking water.
Technical parameters: Operating pressure: 10 bar • Operating temperature:
0 to 100°C • Inner diameter: DN8 or DN12 • Minimum static bending radius: DN8
R=16 mm, DN12 R=20 mm • Minimum bending radius for cyclic stress: DN8 R=130
mm, DN12 R=150 mm
Assembling the connector: Check the counterpart bearing surface for the
gasket, which must not be damaged (no deep scratches or deformations). First,
screw on the fixed thread terminal, tighten it, and then install the terminal
with the union nut. While tightening the nut, be careful not to loosen the
fixed thread terminal. The minimum bending radius must not be exceeded at any
place on the connector.
Guarantee: The guarantee period is 25 years from the purchase date. The
guarantee does not cover damage caused by cyclic bending. This also includes
movement of the connector caused by hydraulic shocks. In the case of cyclic
stress, the connector’s service life is not unlimited.
