SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  1. This appliance may be used by children from the age of 8 years and over and by persons with limited physical, sensory or mental abilities or by persons without experience and knowledge, provided that they use it under supervision or have been instructed concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the risks involved.

  2. This appliance combined with the blender, as well as this accessory alone, should not be used by children. Keep the blender and the appliance cord out of the reach of children.

  3. Cleaning and user maintenance of the device and its accessories should not be done by children unless they are over 8 years old and under supervision.

  4. Keep the device and its cord out of reach of children under 8 years of age.

  5. Children should not play with the appliance and its accessories.

  6. When assembling, disassembling, or cleaning, always disconnect the appliance from the power supply (remove by holding the plug, not by pulling the cord).

  7. Do not leave the appliance unattended. If you leave the room, always disconnect the appliance from the power supply.

  8. Do not use the appliance or its accessory for any purpose other than as described in this user manual.

  9. The appliance is designed exclusively for domestic use and its intended purpose.

  10. Check that the voltage indicated on the appliance rating label corresponds to the voltage in the mains.

  11. Make sure that the appliance will only be connected to a grounded and properly installed outlet.

  12. Do not attempt to use the blades of the blender for any purpose other than as described in this user manual. Misuse or incorrect assembly/ disassembly of blades may cause injury.

  13. During operation, you should not touch the cutting blade with your hands or other objects (e.g. spoons). Risk of injury!

  14. Do not touch the moving parts of the appliance. You should always wait for them to stop completely.

  15. To avoid splashing, you should insert the mixing rod into the container before turning on the appliance.

  16. Do not use the blender for a long time continuously. Allow to cool first before using again.

  17. Do not place the appliance on or near hot gas, an electric burner, or a heated oven.

  18. The appliance must be regularly checked for damage. Do not use the appliance if it is damaged.
    WARNING: Do not use the appliance if the cord is frayed or if the appliance has been damaged in any way. To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not attempt to repair the appliance yourself. Contact a qualified technician for repair. Use only original spare parts.

  19. Do not use the appliance outdoors. Keep it away from heat sources, direct sunlight, moisture (never immerse it in any liquid), and sharp edges. Do not touch or use the appliance with wet hands.

  20. When cleaning or storing, always disconnect the appliance from the power supply.

  21. Do not place the appliance near places where water may fall on it.

  22. Avoid getting water or other liquid into the appliance to avoid the risk of electric shock.

  23. To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not immerse the cord, plug, or appliance in water or any other liquid.

  24. This appliance is not designed to be submerged in water during cleaning. Follow the instructions in the “CLEANING” section.

BEFORE FIRST USE

  1. Read all the instructions carefully and keep them for future reference.
  2. Remove the appliance from its packaging. Keep away from children.
  3. Before using the appliance for the first time, check that the voltage shown on the device label corresponds to the voltage in the mains.
  4. Hold the motor housing firmly and detach the blender from the motor housing by rotating it.
  5. Clean the motor housing with a sponge or a cloth dampened in warm water.
  6. Clean the blender with warm water and wash up the liquid.
  7. Place the hand blender on an even surface at a safe distance away from flammable objects. Keep out of the reach of children.
    A slight smell may be noticeable when the hand mixer is used for the first time. This is normal and will disappear after a short while.

ASSEMBLY/ DISASSEMBLY
When attaching accessories there is the risk of pinching your fingers. Please be especially careful.

  1. Make sure the appliance is not connected to the power supply when assembling or disassembling the parts. Risk of injury!
  2. Attach the blender (8) to the motor housing (6).
  3. Rotate the blender clockwise until it locks into place. The motor housing and the blender must be well connected.
  4. Rotate the blender anticlockwise to disconnect it from the motor housing. Remove the blender.

USING THE APPLIANCE

  1. Connect the hand blender to a properly installed and grounded outlet.

  2. Insert the blender into the food or beverage that you want to mash. Chop up large pieces of solid food before mashing and add a little liquid.

  3. Submerge the entire blender head in foodstuff or beverage. Keep the appliance upright. In this way you avoid spatters.

  4. Hold the appliance with one hand in such a way that you can press one of the power buttons (I or II).

  5. Set the desired speed mode by pushing the power button (I or II). At speed level I, you can adjust the speed control using the rotary speed control switch (3) by raising the speed at a constant rate, starting from the lowest speed to the highest. If speed level II is selected, the speed control is preselected (maximum speed) and is not controlled by the rotary speed control switch. The speed level II is used to operate at maximum speed for a short time only.
    The power button II should not be used for more than 1 minute. Leave the device to cool down for at least 5 minutes before using it again.

  6. The device switches itself off when the button is released.

  7. Always turn the device off before removing it from the tank.

    • When you switch the appliance off, always wait until the blades come to a complete standstill.
    • When using the appliance in hot foods, there is a risk of burning due to hot splashing.
    • The bottom of the used container may not have bumps or dents that may damage the appliance.

CLEANING

  1. Always unplug the appliance before cleaning it.
  2. Clean the motor housing with a cloth dampened in warm water.
  3. Disconnect the blender from motor housing and clean it with warm water and washing up liquid.
  4. The appliance should not be immersed in water for cleaning.
  5. Do not use a wire brush or other abrasive utensils for cleaning.
  6. Clean the blades with special care because they are very sharp.

STORAGE

  1. Always unplug the appliance before storing it.
  2. Always make sure that the hand blender is cool and dry before storing it.
  3. Always store the appliance out of the reach of children.
