WARNING

Read and follow all instructions carefully before installing and using this product!

• Initially, water will leak, but within 3-5 days the wooden Tub will swell and become completely tight.
• Fire and hat water may lead to serious injuries! Never leave children and/or those with disabilities unattended!
• Cleaning and maintenance should not be done by children without supervision.
• Our Hot Tub cannot be used by children under 8 years old, pregnant women and persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities.
• ATTENTION! Be very careful when moving from Hot Tub. Wet stairs and floor may be slippery!
• Never heat the Hot Tub when it is empty! The Hot Tub could catch fire and irreparable damage may occur!
• Our standard heaters are made from 304 and 316-grade stainless steel. If chlorine, bromide, saltwater, or other chemicals are to be used the heater’s steel grade must be upgraded to 316-grade stainless steel.
• It is very important to empty water from the heater at temperatures below zero.
• Keep this product more than 2 m away from any swimming pool (for France 3.5 m). to prevent children from climbing on it and accessing the pool.
• All information is based on past experience and to the best of our belief. Local circumstances and other conditions must be taken into consideration by each individual Hot Tub user-according to use.

FOUNDATION

A stable, even, and sustainable space is needed to set up a Hot Tub. Gravel, loose chippings, or quarry tiles (agstones) are recommended surfaces. A ground with humus or patches of grass is not suitable. Drainage will help with stability – depending on the local conditions. A concrete foundation is not necessary. It is important that air is able to circulate under the Hot Tub so damp is able to evaporate. With a proper base installed, your Hot Tub can provide reliable relaxation and fun for many years to come.
If you do not follow recommendations for the base, the product will lose its warranty!

UNLOADING

UNPACKING

Our Hot Tubs are packaged on a pallet and they can be unloaded with a forklift or tractor with a front loader. To avoid product damages during long-distance transformation, we recommend to order a wooden transportation box.

Unloading is the responsibility of the buyer.

UNPACKING FROM THE TRANSPORTATION BOX

• Bring the pallet to the Hot Tub location. Use a cordless screwdriver to remove all OSB walls.

• Vertical wooden beams are attached to the side where  the oor is located.
  IMPORTANT: Remove the wooden beams and all parts that are located under the oor area

• Remove the packing materials with which the Hot Tub was wrapped and take all accessories such as stairs, chimney, paddle, etc. out.

• Now the Hot Tub can be tilted towards the oor. Important: For this need at least four strong people. Let the Hot Tub down slowly and make sure that nobody is in the danger zone!

USAGE WATER FILLING

Your wooden Hot Tub should be lled with water after purchase. Water will initially leak – but in 3-5 days the wood will swell and become watertight. Bear in mind that any wooden Hot Tub will always have some degree of leakage. This is completely normal and natural. Hot tubs made of polypropylene or berglass are completely watertight.
We would recommend keeping water inside permanently during the warm season. Should the Hot Tub need a repair or cleaning it should not be kept without water longer than necessary to avoid shrinkage.
When preparing for bathing, the Tub should be lled in with water to around 10 cm below the top edge, taking into account the number of people that are going to use it.
Before heating the water, make sure that the inside heater is submerged in water to around 20 cm below the footing of the chimney.

USING THE INSIDE/INTEGRATED WOOD BURNING HEATER

• THE INSIDE HEATER CAN NOT BE LIT UNTIL THE WATER LEVEL IS 20 CM BELOW THE TOP OF THE HEATER

• DO NOT LET WATER OUT WHILE HEATER IS STILL HOT

• BEAR IN MIND THAT YOU MUST NOT LIGHT THE HEATER UNTIL THE WATER LEVEL IS CORRECT – OR THE DIRECT HEAT WILL DAMAGE THE TUB.

• DO NOT ALLOW THE TEMPERATURE TO EXCEED +55°C IN A FIBERGLASS TUB – THE HIGH TEMPERATURE WILL PERMANENTLY DAMAGE THE FIBERGLASS RESIN.

USING THE EXTERNAL WOOD BURNING HEATER

• For external heater models, the water should both cover and ll the inlet and outlet pipes.
• Bear in mind that you must not light the heater until the water level is correct – or the direct heat will damage the Tub.

HEATING

• Our standard wood-burning heaters are made from 304-grade stainless steel.
• For the “1.9 M WOODEN HOT TUB AL STANDARD KIT” we use an Aluminium heater. This type of heater is madeof a specialized-corrosion resistant marine aluminum of high thermal conductivity (AlMg3). This type of heater also has a special ow and combustion supporting air intake channel for better efciency. This heater unit is suitable for use with seawater, chlorine, bromide, or other chemical water additives.
• If chlorine, bromide, saltwater, or other chemicals are to be used, the heater steel grade must be upgraded to a 316-grade stainless steel heater!

• NEVER heat the Hot Tub when empty! The Hot Tub could catch re and irreparable damage may occur!
• Firewood or briquettes can be used for heating. Avoid using coal fuels and fresh, wet/greenwood.
• The ideal temperature for outdoor bathing is 30 – 36°C. The time to reach the desired temperature depends on external conditions. In summer, heating to 36°C takes around 3 hours. In winter, it takes around 5-6 hours. You can control the water temperature by using a thermometer and changing the re intensity with the heater air intake control. Once you have reached your desired temperature, close the regulator and the water temperature will not increase. We recommend stirring the water occasionally to maintain even heating. A paddle is supplied for this purpose

BATHING

It is recommended that you shower or bathe before using the Hot Tub, to ensure that you prolong the life of the water.
Bathing supplements may cause problems with water quality. Those bathing supplements which are biodegradable can be used. This avoids fungal infestation or the growth of algae. Common herb extracts may be added as well as a few drops of essential oils (grapefruit, juniper or fennel that boost your metabolism and lymph circulation) to the water if desired. Herbal therapy isbenecial for your body and senses – as well as emotions.

ASH CLEANING

We suggest removing the ash from the wood-burning heater each time a re is built. The ash can be removed with a scoop and poker which can be ordered as an accessory

ELECTRICAL CONNECTION

This description applies to your Hot Tub if you optionally ordered the electric parts, such as LED lighting, hydro, air massage and electric heating system installations.
You can access the electrical components via the inspection door, which is installed in the Hot Tub wall All Hot Tubs with electrical heating components have installed a residual current circuit breaker with a fuse box.
The electrical connection, especially for 6kW electric heaters, must be done by  anelectrician!
If you purchased the SPA product from us directly, the equipment has been installed by our own professional electricians-you do not have to self- assemble to adjust anything. If you have any questions regarding the equipment, please contact us.

All electrical heating installations are fed via the residual current circuit breaker

HOT TUB WITH ELECTRIC HEATING

• When the Hot Tub is lled with the right amount of water, you can turn on the electric heater. When the heater is running – the red light is on.
• Activate the circulation pump, electric heater and sand lter with the buttons that are on the panel of the Tub.

ATTENTION! ELECTRIC HEATER MUST WORK TOGETHER WITH SAND FILTER! TURN ON SAND FILTER FIRST, AFTER THAT – ELECTRIC HEATER!

•  Adjust your desired temperature, by swirling dial which is located on the heater. To do this,open the inspection door at the Hot Tub, behind it you can see the temperature controller. Turn until the desired temperature at the red point will stand.

• Perform a function test by turning the thermostat dial back and forth and check that the contacts of the thermostat switch on and off. You will hear a “click”.

• The temperature reaches the target (the desired heat level) electric heater shuts off automatically. When the water cools down, the heater turns itself on automatically to heat the water up to your adjusted temperature.

• To completely turn off the heater is activated/deactivated with the same button on the panel of the Tub.

IMPORTANT – do not turn on the heater if the water level hasn’t yet reached its ! recommended level (20 cm space from the water and the top of the hot tub).

TROUBLESHOOTING

• Check the fuses.

• Check that the system has the requisite ow through the heater.

• For safety reasons, the heater’s overheating protection trips with a lack of water or poor circulation.
  This is the most common reason why the heater “stops working”. Check whether the overheating protection has tripped, investigate the cause. After the cause has been established and rectied, the overheating protection is reset by:

  • Unscrewing the protective cap (A).
  • Press the reset button (B) on the junction box.
  • Ret the protective cap again.

• Check the operation of the heater.

• Reset the thermostat to a higher temperature.

• If the problem persists: contact the seller

SAND FILTER SYSTEM

The sand lters are designed to work with water at temperatures 0-45ºC. The lter should never be operated outside of these temperatures or damage may occur. Recommended replacement of the sand every 1-2 years

Filter system connection with hoses. The sand water lter is being built next to the Tub and connected by two hoses through which lter water in the Tub.
Place the stairs with a niche for the sand lter (order as an option) over the system and plan the routing of the hoses within the specied space. Arrows are down on the two hoses, which indicate the direction of the water.

The hose with the arrow from the Hot Tub goes to the pump, the hose with the pointing towards the Hot Tub is connected to the valve. The connection at the sand lter system is located at the 6-way valve and is marked accordingly with “pool”. Insert the pipe ends as above described.
The separate instructions from the lter system manufacturer must be followed for assembling it!

IMPORTANT – the pump must never be operated without water and make sure that ! both valves always allow water to ow!

TO WINTERIZE THE SYSTEM

At the end of the bathingseason, the lter system and the hoses must be removed and emptied. Open the lter and empty the lter sand. Verify that the lter sand is still in reasonable condition (not glued or clumped) and clean it. Filter systems must be located in a frost-free room in the winter.
These steps need to be made during the cold season, when the outside temperature is below zero, so the circulation-pump won`t freeze.

**IN THE COLD SEASON:

** WHEN AIR TEMPERATURE IS BELOW 0 DEGREES, IT’S NECESSARY TO DRAIN WATER FROM THE HOT TUB AND DISCONNECT SAND FILTER!

In the cold season, sand filter you should disconnect and keep in a warm place. Do it every time, after using a Hot Tubl
If the Tub is kept at a constant temperature, the filter can be used in sub- zero temperatures

SPA SYSTEMS – THEIR USE AND MAINTENANCE

Please note that each Hot Tub with SPA is prepared individually, it depends of choose SPA options, so the pictures may be different from your Hot Tub.
When installing and using electrical equipment, basic safety precautions should always be followed, especially those shown below.

• WARNING! Turning the SPA equipment, switch off does not prevent the risk of shock. Power in any of the electrical equipment areas are still live until the main breaker is shut off.
• ELECTRICAL SHOCK. Do not permit any electrical appliance, such as a light, telephone, radio, television, extension cords, or any plug-in devices, etc. within 10-30 cm of SPA.
• Never operate any electrical appliances inside the Hot Tub or when you are wet. Do not attempt to plug in or unplug this product while standing in water or when your hands are wet!
• EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE. Never perform any work on the SPA electrical equipment. Any problems should be referred to a licensed electrician.
• Do not turn the power on to the SPA without water in the Hot Tub. Serious damage may occur.
• Our water hydro-massage systems do not require any special maintenance. Do not use any commercial cleaners or disinfectants. For sanitation, periodically clean with mildly soapy warm water only

IMPORTANT – in the cold season, DO NOT turn the air system on unless the 0 ! temperature is above 30 C.

AIR MASSAGE SYSTEM. Air massage system structure: air compressor 300-700W power, 12 pcs of air jets – mounted in the wall of the Tub, as well as other installation materials. Air massage on/off is located on the panel of the Hot Tub.

IMPORTANT – After releasing the water from the Hot Tub, keep the air massage active for 30 seconds to remove water from the system

WATER MASSAGE SYSTEM. Water massage system structure: water compressor 1.5 HP power, 6 pcs water jets, other installation materials. The water massage on/off is located on the panel of the Hot Tub. The water massage system has an additional controller to manage the water ow “spray power”.
COMBINED SPA SYSTEM. Water massage system structure: air compressor 300W power and water compressor 1.5 HP power, combined water/air jets – installed in the Tub wall.
The combined massage system has 2 switches in the Tub panel. One of them turns on/off the air compressor, the other switches on/off the water compressor. You can enable air massage or water massage separately, or both devices together

MAINTENANCE

WATER DRAINING IN WARM/COLD SEASONS

• The Hot Tub has an outlet valve. This enables water to be directed to a specic place (for example, for watering your garden, as long as the water is not chlorinated). Fiberglass Hot Tubs with an integrated heater have an external water tap installed under the heater.
• Fiberglass models with different heaters, polypropylene models, and wooden models are all equipped with a siphon and plug by default.
• Only empty your Hot Tub when the water has cooled – as the water in the heater will also have cooled.
• The heater may be damaged by continuous heat if not surrounded by water at all times. During the warm periods, the wooden Tub must be kept full of water to prevent wood becoming too dry which, in turn, may cause it to leak; water must be removed only for cleaning reasons or when changing the water – and then only for short periods.
• Should you nd the wood has slightly dried, the tightening bands must be tightened before relling.
• During cold periods the Tub should be kept empty as icing can cause serious damage.
• It is very important to empty the heater of water when temperatures fall below zero.
• In cases where the heater has frozen – do not attempt to start it until thoroughly thawed

HOT TUBS USAGE:
DO NOT WEAR SHOES IN THE HOT TUB

YOU MUST DRAIN THE WATER FROM THE HOT TUB IF THE TEMPERATURE FALLS BELOW FREEZING

DO NOT FORGET: the Hot Tub should be covered when not in use. This protects the water from animals and debris. It also prevents small children from drowning and other accidents.

INSIDE CLEANING

• Wood cleaning agents should not be used on the internal parts of the Hot Tub!
• For wooden Hot Tub maintenance, it is recommended that the inner surface be cleaned with soap, soda, or similar products – and a brush. Rinse thoroughly afterward.
• Polypropylene and berglass Tubs have clear advantages when it comes to cleaning. There is less build-up of bacteria – and they are easier to clean it out, disinfect and leave without water for long periods – without the risk of drying out or cracking (especially in winter).

WOOD IMPREGNATION

• If you purchased not factory painted Tub, at least once a year the Hot Tub must be protected to give it more durability. The outer surface of the Hot Tub should be treated with linseed oil or a wood supplement oil/wood glaze. These oils penetrate the wood and allow for greater resistance in certain weather conditions, especially during hot summer days when the wood becomes very dry. This will also keep the wood from rotting.

• Do not forget: the inside of the wooden Hot Tub, safety fence, and benches can become grayish in the course of time.

• The inner surface of the Hot Tub should not be treated as the wood must be able to absorb
  water to enable the wood to swell and keep the integrity of the Hot Tub.

• The exterior of the Hot Tub can be painted. We suggest our factory painting of more than 20 different paints and stains colors.

• To validate your guarantee and ensure the longevity of the product, i t is essential that the Hot Tub be treated with a wood preserver within the first three months of assembly. Thereafter, treat the product in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations and local building regulations. A paint specialist should be consulted for advice on paints and stains which are suitable for use on unprocessed softwood of the type used for your Hot Tub.
  The paint or stain manufacturers’ instructions should always be followed so as not to damage your Hot Tub.

MAINTAINING TIGHTENING BANDS

We advise regular checking of the bands, on at least a monthly basis. All bands should be adjusted if necessary. When rst lling your Hot Tub with water, leaking may occur. This is normal until the wood is saturated and the joints seal naturally. Once this takes place, the leaks will stop.

POLYPROPYLENE FRAME

The Hot Tubs made of special plastic – polypropylene – do not require as much maintenance as those made of wood. Our plastic Tubs are made of 5 mm polypropylene (some parts – from 8 mm), which is extremely durable, frost- resistant, and easy to clean. Compared to other plastics this is one of the lightest and most environmentally friendly substances.
It has UV protection and is resistant to weathering, which ensures the longevity of its use externally. As the exterior is made of wood – these Tubs look just as beautiful as the wooden ones but are far more hygienic. Polypropylene Tubs do not need to be continuously lled with water as they do not overdry, as wooden Tubs do, so they can be freely drained of water. The plastic Tubs can be cleaned with ordinary household baths or pool cleaners. You should remember that if you choose a chlorine treatment you must upgrade to a 316-grade steel heaterto preserve your Hot Tub.

FIBERGLASS HOT TUBS

• Fiberglass stands out because of its integral qualities (unlike plastic or wooden Hot Tubs, berglass is molded in one piece, not made from separate parts). Fiberglass Hot Tubs are easier to clean and do not require any maintenance.
• Fiberglass has UV protection, and is resistant to weather conditions, ensuring its longevity in open-air conditions.
• We suggest as extra options the installation of SPA, Electric heating and LED systems only into berglass Hot Tubs.
• The berglass Tubs are cleaned with ordinary household cleaning products. You should remember that if you use chlorine treatments, you must upgrade to a 316-grade steel heaterto preserve your Hot Tub.
• Do not allow the temperature to exceed +55°C in a berglass Tub – the high temperature will permanently damage the berglass resin.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO HEAT A HOT TUB?

It depends on the Hot Tub size, the temperature outside, and how powerful your heater is. In summer, heating by wood-burning heaters to 36°C takes around 3 hours. In winter, it takes around 5-6 hours. You can control the water temperature by using a thermometer and changing the re intensity with the heater air intake control. Once you have reached your desired temperature, close the regulator and the water temperature will not increase. We recommend stirring the water occasionally to maintain even heating. On average electric heating will warm water at a degree an hour and is designed to be kept warm once your water reaches the desired temperature.

INSTALL?

Massage pumps, lters, and led lights come with standard type plugs. They are ready to use as soon as they are plugged into electrical sockets. We offer one-phase 230V or threephase 400V electrical connections. The electrical heating system is equipped with a residual current circuit breaker witha fuse box.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I CHANGE THE SAND IN THE FILTER?

On average, sand should be replaced every 1-2 years. This may be longer if the Tub stays clear, or shorter if the lter runs all the time

CAN ELECTRIC HEATER MAINTAIN THE WATER HOT FOR A LONGER PERIOD OF TIME?

MORE THAN A DAY

Electric heaters together with sand lters can work for a long period of time, but you should not leave your heater running overnight while you sleep. Leaving a heater overnight or unattended creates a potential safety risk.

DO I HAVE TO “TURN ON” THE SAND FILTER?

Use the lter when Hot Tub is full of water, all the time when using it, and about one hour after bathing for water cleaning

DOES THE ELECTRIC HEATER OPERATE WITHOUT A SAND FILTER?

No. The heater works only together with a sand lter (use “Electric heater” and “Sand Filter” buttons), unlike a sand lter, it can operate alone

HOW TO “TURN ON” THE LED, HYDROMASSAGE, AIR BUBBLE SYSTEMS?

For each massage type, use ON/OFF buttons, they are located on the panel of the Hot Tub wall. You can enable Air Massage or Hydro Massage separately, or both devices together.

DO WE HAVE DIFFERENT SPEEDS FOR HYDRO MASSAGE SYSTEM?

Yes, use the controller (located on the panel of the Hot Tub wall) to manage “spray power”.

DOES A HOT TUB HEAT UP FASTER WITH JETS ON?

The jets circulate the water and ensure no cold pockets remain trapped in the pipes. You can heat a Hot Tub faster by turning on the jets, placing a cover over the Tub, and using the more powerful heater.
