PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

  1. APPLICATIONS
    PDS 109-HALO garage door opener is applied for residential automation of garage door. It fits sectional garage door and one piece tilt garage door including “J” and “Track” types. It is operated by main electrical power and it’s not recommended to be operated by back-up batteries for normal use. Back- up batteries are only for emergency operation when there is a power failure, and the carriage can be released by pulling the cord to move the door manually.

  2. DESCRIPTION OF THE AUTOMATION

Please set stopper in the open limit position of the rack and after the setup is completed, then garage door opener can start the system learning process.

Rail assembly (Only for 3pcs rail ; 1 pcs rail is preassembled)

  1. Put the (6) inner trolley assy in the rail track, and put the (5) Metal Rail in the rail track.
  2.  Cross the (5) Metal Rail through the (4) front pulley tensioner, the (3) rear pulley support, and the (6) Inner trolley assy. The metal mortise part should be placed in the middle of the whole rail.
  3. Connect the (5) Metal Rail.PADORS-PSD-109-Halo-Luminous-LED Light- \(4\)
  4. Remove the nut and the spring in the (4) Front pulley bracket. Make sure the metal chain is placed in the gap of the pulley on the two sides. Insert the (2) Front hold bracket against the rail. Use the spring and the nut to adjust the tightness of the (5) Metal chain. PADORS-PSD-109-Halo-Luminous-LED Light- \(5\)

Attach the rail to the motor

  1. Connect the insertion gap of the (3) Rear pulley bracket to the output shaft of the motor.
  2. Fasten the rail on the motor with (9) motor hold bracket and motor chassis fixing M6 nut (25).
  3. Fasten the (10) Ceiling hold bracket and (13) Ceiling bracket at the rear side between the motor and the rear blocker with motor holder fixing M6 nut (22) and motor chassis fixing M6 nut (25). Remark: Optional choice is to use L-bracket to hold the brackets to the ceiling, and fasten to both the ceiling and ceiling bracket(13) using Hex bolt(20) and motor chassis fixing M6 nut (25).

Attach the rail on the header wall and ceiling

  1. Position (11) Header bracket on the header wall.
    It is recommended that positioned at the center of the garage door.
    The installation height of the {11) Header bracket varies from 30-50cm from the top of the garage door.

  2. Install the (11) Header bracket with screws.

  3. Attach the front rail to header bracket with bolts.

  4.  Attach the (13) Ceiling bracket on the crossbeam of ceiling with crews.

CAUTION
To prevent damage, place the garage door on the top section to create a temporary support.

Connect release section to the garage door

  1. Connect the (7) Release rope on the (8) Release trolleyPADORS-PSD-109-Halo-Luminous-LED Light- \(9\)
    • WARNING
    • To prevent possible SERIOUS INJURY or DEATH from a falling garage door:
    • If possible, use emergency release handle to disengage trolley ONLY when garage door is CLOSED. Weak or broken springs or unbalanced door could result in an open door falling rapidly and/or unexpectedly.
    • NEVER use emergency release handle unless garage doorway is clear of persons and obstructions.
    • NEVER use handle to pull door open or closed. If rope knot becomes untied, you could fall.
    • NOTE: Handle should hang 6 feet (1.5 m) above floor. Ensure that the rope and handle clear the tops of all vehicles to avoid entanglement.
    • CONNECT DOOR ARM TO TROLLEY
  2. Pull the (7) Release rope to disengage the (8) Release trolley
  3. Connect (15) Straight door arm to Release trolley PADORS-PSD-109-Halo-Luminous-LED Light- \(11\)
  4. Fasten the (12) Door bracket and (16) Door bracket locater on the center of the garage door. Connect (14) Bent arm to (12) Door bracket.
  5. Connect (14) Bent arm and a straight arm with bolts and nuts.

Final steps before system learning

  1. Install the blocker (16) on the door opened position ( behind the up limit)
  2. Attached the warning sign to the (7) release rope.
  3. connect the power to the motor. Make sure the electric plug and socket are well connected.

WARNING
To prevent possible SERIOUS INJURY or DEATH from electrocution or fire:

  • Be sure power is not connected to the opener, and disconnect power to circuit BEFORE removing cover tc establish permanent wiring connection.
  • Garage door Installation and wiring MUST be in compliance with all local electrical and building codes
  •  NEVER use an extension cord, 2-wire adapter, or change plug in ANY way to make it fit outlet. Be sure the opener is grounded.

Introduction of the emergency release

  1. Pull the (7) Emergency release rope to release the trolley. Make sure the trolley is disengaged. The garage door can be operated manually.
  2. Before restarting the motor, manually move the garage door until the trolley is engaged.

Connection

  1. Accessories connection
    Only carry out electrical connections once the electricity supply to the system has been switched off. PADORS-PSD-109-Halo-Luminous-LED Light-

  2. Door position for start-up phase

    • Position carriage at approximately half travel before starting check and start-up phase of the automation.

    • This will ensure the leaf is free to move both during opening and closing.

    • Power supply connection

    • Connect the plug. As soon as the system is powered, you should check the LED in the display. Make sure the LED display is ON.

    • Never cut or remove the cable supplied with PG Series garage opener. If not already available, the power socket of PG Series
      garage opener connection must be fitted by skilled and qualified personnel in strict observance of current legislation, standards and regulations.

    • The power supply line must be protected from short circuits and ground leakage.

  3. Coding transmitter and erasing process

    • A. Coding transmitter:

    • Pressing “C” button once, a dot LED is on. Then press same desired button on the transmitter twice. The dot LED Is off – flashing – off. The programming is completed.

    • Erasing Transmitter Memory:

    • Press and hold “C” button till “L” showing on the display screen. Then release the button. The dot LED is flashing and then turn
      to “L” flashing while pressing the ”C” button.

    •  System learning, reset process, and LED display

    • A. Program Door Travel Limits

    • Setting your door travel limits is a vital part of the initial setup of your opener. the specific distance must travel to complete the open/close cycle.

    • Stepl: Press and hold “P” buttons for 8 seconds, the LED display shows “1 “. The opener enters system setting mode.

    • Step2: Press “P” button, LED display shows” n “. Press and hold     button to open the door. When the door moves to the desired opening position, press “P” button to save.

    • Step3: LED display shows “u “. Press and hold   button to close the door. When the door moves to the desired closing position, press “P” button to save.

    • Step4: Once limits are set, the opener will automatically open and close by itself for detecting the opening and closing force of the sensitivity. When the door is closed after calibration, limits set up is completed.

    • Step5: Program Force Settings

    • To ensure your doors Force Settings are correct, place a 40mm solid immovable object (eg block of wood} in the middle of the opening and lower the door. The door should automatically reverse when it touches the wood without further
      adjustments. If the door doesn’t auto-reverse, complete the following steps to adjust settings:

    • Decrease the closing force to level 2 -4 from 5 to increase the sensitivity of auto-reverse function.

    • Press and hold “P” till “1” on the display. Press “UP” to “2”, then press “P”. Using “UP” and “DOWN” to adjust closing force. Default is level “5”.

How to set the parameter:

  • Step 1: Press the “P” button for 8 seconds, the display will show /. The opener is on setting mode.
  • Step 2: Choosing a desired function by .A. and ‘Y , then press the “P”. A second number shows on the display. Choosing desired number to set on/off or level, then press “P” to save. Please refer to below table for the details of the functions
  • The functions of “Ventilation”, “Coding by remote” and “Lighting” on the below table, only work with when the first button on the remote is coded.

Programming the opener

Initial Powering Up of Opener
Once your Opener has been installed, push and pull the door by hand to ensure the manual release thrust block is locked into place before turning on the power.

  • Once the opener has been installed, the user must be informed about how it works and all the risks that can arise if it is used improperly. The user must avoid placing himself/herself in dangerous situations such as standing within the door’s operating range when it is moving.
  • Do not let children play near the door, and keep the remote controls out of their reach.
  • All services, repairs or checks must be carried out by professionally qualified persons, and noted on a maintenance register kept by the user.
  • IMPORTANT NOTE : In the case of a malfunction the user must call an authorized installer and should not attempt to repair it without professional help or experience.

Warranty

  • Padors offers a two year standard Back to Base warranty on the motor only for all DIY consumers. It is handled under a Replace/ Return Warranty. If the opener has an issue we cannot solve over the phone, you send back the faulty unit to us at your cost. We will send the fixed unit to you within 24 hours once we receive the unit at our cost.
  • If the opener is installed by our accredited installer, the warranty period will be offered from two to ten years from the installer based on the door’s condition and special service terms. The installer will take the warranty. We, PADORS, offer the warranty to our accredited installer. We will not deal with the consumer directly.
  • Notice : It is not waterproof products. It will not be covered by the warranty if installing at outside and inflow of water.
