security warnings

  • It is necessary to read the installation manual completely before installing the pressurizer pump and clarify any doubts with your supplier before installation.
  • Visually inspect the unit after it is unpacked. If you notice bumps or damage to the cabinet and power cord DO NOT install the unit.
  • No work should be done with the pressurizing pump while it is connected to electrical power.
  • The pressurizer pump is designed to work only with clean, solid-free, liquid, or hot water according to the parameters indicated in the technical specification table.
  • The pressurizing pump should not be operated with flammable liquids for any reason.
  • The pump is designed to work inside. Its degree of protection is ip42 which means that it is protected against solids (tools and cables) greater than 1 mm and against injected water spray at an angle less than 15 degrees of the vertical.
  • Do not expose the pressurizing pump to water vapor in the environment and keep electrical parts out of contact with water.
  • The pump must not operate in temperatures below 0°c.

Installation and commissioning

  • The technical specifications indicate the minimum suction pressure necessary for the pump to operate. The equivalent of manometric height is also included.
  • If the installation of the pressurizer pump does not respect this height or minimum pressure, it must NOT be installed or turned on. The pump is not designed to operate in a vacuum.
  • Some examples of installations are presented.

one pressurizing pump for the entire house

  • one pressurizing pump for hot water.
  • one pressurizing pump for cold water.
  • one pressurizing pump for hot water.
  • one pressurizing pump for each floor.
  • Pressurizing pumps have a wet rotor motor, so it is very important to install them in the correct position.

Wrong Installation

Connect the flow switch and flow selector

How to connect flow switch to flow selector in 3 steps:

  1. Step 1 – Go close with the connection of the flow switch to the connection of the flow selector like in Figure 1.
  2. Step 2 – Be sure that you reach the connection between the flow switch and flow connection like Figure 2.
  3. Step 3 – Press the connection of the flow switch in the flow selector till you hear a click.

Disconnect the safety flow switch from the flow selector

How to disconnect the safety flow switch from the flow selector in 2 steps:

  1. Step 1 – pull the rubber protection cap where the clips is presented (figure 1)
  2. Step 2 – After Step 1 push the locking system (figure 2) and pull out the flow switch connection from the flow selector connection like in (figure 2.1)

The motor shaft must be level on the horizontal axis.

  • The flow switch must be installed in the discharge of the pressurizing pump and must follow the same direction as the arrow printed in the pump cabinet.
  • All pressurizing pumps have an external flow switch which allows greater flexibility in case of maintenance, repair, or failure.
  • Always make the electrical connections with the pressurizing pump disconnected from the electrical force.
  • Do not disassemble the flow sensor for the installation of the pressurizing pump as it is calibrated from the factory.
  • To protect the pump from solids or particles that could damage the engine or impeller, it is recommended to have a mesh strainer/water filter (not included) located before the suction side of the pressurizing pump.
  • This filter must be kept clean so that the pump has the minimum pressure required for its operation.
  • Check that the voltage is not above or below 10% of the voltage indicated on the equipment board.

The pressurizer pump has two different selectors:

  1. Operation Mode Selector
    • By selecting this mode the pressurizer pump will operate manually.
    • By selecting this mode the pressurizing pump will operate automatically.
    • Selecting this mode will keep the pressurizer pump off.
  2. Operation Speed Selector
    • You are installing a pressurizing pump with 3 speeds, which you can select depending on your water flow needs and according to the curves chart. In this way, we want to maximize the energy consumption of your house.
    • To obtain the lowest flow it is necessary to position the selector in option 1.
    • For an average flow, you have to select speed 2.
    • If you want the largest available flow, locate the selector in position number 3.
    • The values of maximum flow, maximum pressure, and electrical consumption shown in the table of technical characteristics are based on operating the pressurizing pump at the maximum speed.
    • The pressurizing pump is designed to work in open circuits of pipes for clean water so to purge the air from the pump it is only necessary to open some tap for a few minutes.
