IQOS lil SOLID 2.0 Tobacco Heating System

Button (Status LED light)

By pressing the Button or once the device is plugged into a power outlet through the Charging Port, the charging status of the device is displayed.

When the device is being charged, the Status LED lights.

• The Status LED blinks while the device is being charged.

• The Status LED goes off after the device is fully charged.

• Due to the nature of the parts used for the Status LED, the brightness and color of the LED light may vary slightly.

Charging Port

• Charge the device before your first use.

• Takes approximately 2 hours to be fully charged, available for use for approximately 25 sticks (the number of sticks can vary according to the use environment).

• Only use the USB Cable and AC Power Adaptor designed for lil SOLID” 2.0 that come with your device.

• You may charge the device whenever it is convenient regardless of the battery charge status.

Use

Steps before use

• The device is in sleep mode and does not operate unless activated for your first use. To wake up the device press the Button for 2 seconds or connect the charger to the charging port.
• While the device wakes up, the Status LED blinks twice in red, orange, ice blue and blue, sequentially.
• Once the device is activated, the Status LED blinks in ice blue for one second and vibration occurs twice, simultaneously

To conserve battery life, the device will return to sleep mode:

1. if it is not charged for 24 hours when the Status LED light is red
2. if it is not used for 7 days when the Status LED light is orange, ice blue, or blue.

Get your device.
Slide and open the Cover off the stick insertion part at the top of the device.
Insert a tobacco stick designed for lil SOLID into the stick insertion part with the tobacco part facing down and press the stick in until it touches the bottom of the stick insertion part.

• If you insert the stick upside down, the device can break down during use. Please check the insertion direction of the stick before use.
• Close the cover of the stick insertion part when the device is not in use to prevent any substances from getting inside.

Start device

• Press the Button for 2 seconds until vibration occurs.
• After 2 seconds, the status LED blinks in ice blue, and Vibration ocCurs simultaneously. During around 25 seconds, the preheating process starts. The duration time of the preheating process can vary according to the use environment.
•  When the preheating processing, the Status LED lights Come on, and vibration occurs simultaneously. This means that the preheatin process has ended, and the stick is ready for use.

Use

• The device with a tobacco stick is ready to use. You have up to 14 puffs or 5 minutes, whichever comes first.
• To signal the last 30 seconds of the session or the last 3 puffs, whichever comes first, the device will vibrate once and the Status LED will blink in ice blue until the end of the Session.
• When the session comes to an end, the Status LED and the device turn off automatically. You do not need to press the Button.
  

Press the Button for 2 seconds and remove the tobacco stick only if you want to stop the session and the use of the device.

Removing the tobacco stick

• Unscrew the stick to one direction 3 times or more.
• Pull the stick out the device.
• Close the Cover of the stick insertion part.

If a stick is not removed as described above, the remnants of a used stick may remain inside.
If there are some remnants inside the stick insertion part, refer to 1 of 6. Troubleshooting.

Consecutive uses
For consecutive use, please repeat the above 1-4 steps.
May use up to 3 consecutive uses.

Cleaning and handling

Cleaning with the Dual Cleaner

• Grab the Dual Cleaner.
• To use the Cleaning Wiper, gently snap open the side with the mark.
• To use the Cleaning Brush, gently snap open the side with the mark.
• Remove the Cap from the device.
• Insert the Cleaning Wiper into the device and clean the device by spinning the Cleaning Wiper.
• Insert the Cleaning Brush into the device and clean the device by spinning the Cleaning Brush.

1. We recommend cleaning the device after using 20 sticks for optimum performance of the device.

2. Do not clean the device during heating or right after the use of the device. Let the device cool wn, otherwise, the Cleaning Wiper or the Cleaning Brush can melt and stick to the device.

3. Take care not to let the Cleaning Wiper or the Cleaning Brush come into contact with any liquid, oils,
   solvents, etc.

4. Take care not to let the Cleaning Wiper or the Cleaning Brush come into contact with your eyes.

5. Keep the Cleaning Wiper or the Cleaning Brush away from fire.

6. Caution should be exercised when using the Cleaning Wiper and Cleaning Brush as they can be sharp.

7. Use of other cleaning tools aside from a Cleaning Wiper or Cleaning Brush or using excessive force may damade the heater

Cleaning with heat

• Quickly press the Button 5 times (within 2 seconds).
• The Status LED blinks in orange, for 90 seconds, and the cleaning process proceeds automatically
• When the cleaning process ends, the Status LED automatically goes off, and vibration occurs 2 times.

Cleaning with heat means heating the remnants stuck to the heater. The heater can get very hot, so do not let anything come into contact with the heater during or immediately after cleaning with heat.

Troubleshooting

I cannot insert the stick into the device.
It there are remnants from the previous stick inside the stick insertion part, a stick may not be inserted. Remove the remnants by pulling the Cap out of the device and try to insert the stick again.

• Check for any remnants inside the stick insertion part.
• If there are remnants of a used stick, remove the Cap from the device.
• Remove the remnants from the Cap.

My device does not work.

• Status LED lights in red for 3 seconds and vibration occurs 3 times, simultaneously. The battery is insufficient. Charge the device.
• Status LED blinks in red 5 times. The device is malfunctioning. Reset the device.
• Status LED blinks in orange for 3 seconds. After 3 consecutive sessions, the device will cool down automatically Please wait until the device temperature is stabilized.

How can I reset the device?

• Press the Button for 8 seconds, even if vibration OCCurs within 2 seconds.
• The device is reset, and the Status LED blinks twice in red, orange, ice blue and blue, sequentially.
• When the device iS Completelyreset, the Status LED lights in ice blue for 1 second and vibration OcCurs twice, simultaneously.

The duration of using the stick is too short.
The device is designed to provide up to 14 puffs or 5 minutes, whichever comes first.
The warranty period for the device is one year, subject to the terms and conditions described in the warranty.

Disposal

This symbol on the product or on its packaging indicates that this product and its individual parts (including batteries) must not be disposed of with your other household waste. Instead, it is your responsibility to dispose of your waste equipment by handing it over to a designated collection point for the recycling of waste electrical and electronic equipment. Amongst others, waste batteries can be returned free of charge at the point of sale.

The separate collection and recycling of your waste equipment (including batteries) at the time of disposal will help to conserve natural resources and ensure that it is recycled in a manner that protects human health and the environment. Disposing of waste equipment as unsorted municipal waste (e.g. by waste incineration or land filling) can have negative effects on environmental and human health.

Warranty Period

• The duration of this product warranty on lil SOLID 2.0 device, AC Power Adaptor and
  USB Cable is 12 months from the date of handover.

• In the absence of proof of purchase, the company reserves the right to voluntarily apply the warranty duration starting from the manufacturing date of the product in question based on its own records.

Warranty Coverage

• The company will, at its option (but without affecting your statutory rights), repair or replace any components which are defective in terms of material or workmanship when used in accordance with the associated lil SOLID 2.0 User Guide and which are subject to a valid warranty claim.
• If repair is not possible, replacement vwill be provided with a product of equivalent functionality. To the extent permitted by local law, the replacement color and/or model are subject to Such color and/or model availability. In case of replacement of the product under this warranty, any replacement part becomes your property and the replaced part becomes the property of the company or entity which makes the exchange.
• The provisions of this warranty are only valid in the country of purchase.

Exclusions to warranty

Products with expired warranties or damaged by consumer negligence are excluded from the warranty service.
The following are excluded from the terms of this warranty:

• malfunction damage caused by normal wear and tear elements;
• cosmetic damages (such as scratches, dents, broken plastic, etc.) that do not impact the functionality of the product;
• damage caused by misuse, abuse, accidents, unsuitable operating environment, natural disasters, power surge, contact with liquids or fire; d malfunction due to use with non-compatible consumables, power adaptors or cable;
• damage or malfunction caused by an attempt to open, modify and repair, either by a user or by a service provider not accredited by the manufacturer,
• damage or malfunction caused by failure to use as described in the associated lil SOLID 2.0 User Guide;
• normal battery performance depreciation, unless battery failure has occurred due to a defect in materials or workmanship;
• devices containing fully or partially nongenuine parts
• loss or theft of the product or its parts
• operation of the product in a country for which it was not originally designed or approved.

To make a claim under this warranty, please contact your Customer Service Centre number below for assistance or visit one of our stores. It is recommended to have a proof of purchase when making a warranty claim.

Other

• Under no circumstances is the company liable for any personal or third-party claims for damages related to the use of the product besides the ones mentioned in this document
• This limitation does not apply for cases where the company is liable towards you under law.
• The rights conveyed under this warranty are in addition and without prejudice to all rights and remedies provided by consumer protection laws in the country of purchase, which includes rights in case of liability due to material defects of goods.
• In EU member states buyers are entitled by law to rights in case of liability due to material defects of goods and remedies from the seller free of charge, at least two years, in respect to any defect existing at the time of delivery.

BATTERY REMOVAL INSTRUCTIONS

(FOR DISPOSAL AND RECYCLING)

The battery must not be removed by the consumer. At the end of product life, only an authorized recycler may safely remove battery by using the following steps.

Model S-MONO-21

Step 1: The device should be fully discharged before disassembling it.
Step 2 : Detach the Styler Decos from both sides of the device.
Step 3: Remove the labels (black stickers with printing) on both sides, then remove the screws.
Step 4: Remove the long plastic in the center of both sides.
Step 5 : Detach the housing from the internal components.
Step 6: Remove all screws and connectors, then detach the FPCB and PCB from the hul.
Step 7: Remove the battery and dispose of it according to local regulations.

Confirmation of Compliance

This device complies with the RF exposure limits and has been evaluated in compliance with the portable exposure conditions according to EN 62311:2008.

Caution

• Only use this device with tobacco sticks designed for lil SOLID.
• Tobacco sticks are sold separately.
• This device must not be sold to minors.
