These supplies come in the box with the basic FS-UL kit.
(Different supplies may be included based on the kit you ordered.)
Additional general supplies to acquire before field installation.
Assemble
Use the hex key to open the unit.
Secure the battery and the desiccant to the unit using smallest O-ring, hooking into the 4 grooves (2 on each side). Don’t install a damaged or dropped battery.
Connect battery onto 2 pin connector on opposite side.
Place medium, bagged O-ring in groove of top of unit. Place largest O-ring around top rim of top of unit.
Place O-ring grease on both larger O-rings. Proper grease application required for waterproofing and product warranty.
Press lid assembly into bottom bucket firmly, ensuring O-ring does not squeeze out. Place and tighten screws in a cross pattern.
Attach antenna by threading onto SMA connector. Wrap connection with rubber splicing tape to prevent water intrusion.
Install antenna flat with logo up with unobstructed view of sky or tower. Place antenna a minimum of 1 ft from the unit.
Configure
Create PRISM location. Log into www.adsprism.com. On home page, go to “Layers.
Select “+” by “Monitor” to add new location.
Enter location name. Enter monitor series of FS-UL-4G and Serial number from Product label. Enter Latitude/longitude and height from installation site. Enter the installation Date/Time. Select Save/Close.
Place the magnet over the white dot labeled “TEST” until the “STATUS” light
turns green. Remove magnet.
Wait for light to start flashing green again before moving to the activation
validation step.
Use phone to Scan Check the Activation QR Code to navigate to the FS-UL device diagnostic dashboard. (The serial number for your unit is also printed under the QR code). Check the Diagnostics screen for Signal strength, Battery reading, Depth reading, and ensure the Date/Time has been updated to reflect the wake time.
Install
Multiple Mounting options are available to mount bracket to structure. Refer to product manual for mounting options.
Ensure mounting is level in the XYZ axes.
(Application in photo affixed to concrete with stainless steel screws.).
Insert the device into the bracket. Place unit housing tabs through the two
holes on the bracket.
Some flexing of the bracket may be required.
Measure from face of unit to the bottom of channel. Set correct HEIGHT in PRISM to ensure accurate Depth calculation.
Install antenna flat with logo up with unobstructed view of sky or tower. Place antenna a minimum of 1 ft from the unit.
Swipe magnet to update all settings for the FS-UL installation.
Validate Diagnostics by refreshing the diagnostic dashboard.
Alarms are set in the office via PRISM. Alarms are active 24 hours after setup.
