Gateway Setup
MANUAL

What’s in the box?

The product package should contain the following items:
– Syncrob.it HNT Gateway
– An AC power adapter (varies by region)
– 3dbi Lora antenna (varies by region)
– Ethernet cable

Optional Accessories:
– 6 dbi Antenna
– Antenna Cable
– Mounting Bracket

If any of the parts are incorrect, missing, or damaged, contact SyncroB.it via email at support@syncrob.it. Keep the carton, including the original packing materials, in case you need to return the product for repair.

The Front of the Gateway

You can use the status lights on the front of the gateway to verify various conditions.

| White (Blinking) – Powered up
---|---
| Green (Steady) – Ready
| Cyan (Blinking) – Firmware update
| Magenta (Blinking) – Rebooting
| Yellow (Blinking) – Connected to Wi-Fi/Ethernet
| Amber (Progress) – Syncing blockchain
| Red (blinking) – Error

NOTE: The 6th LED will turn steady blue while pairing mode is active.

The Back of the Gateway

  1. USB OTG Port (Mirco USB)
  2. Power adapter port
  3. Soft reboot button
  4. Antenna port
  5. Ethernet port

Preparing your Gateway for Setup

  1. Carefully screw in the provided 3dbi antenna ( See Figure 3).
  2. Find a suitable location for your Gateway (for optimal coverage we recommend placing the unit near a window and close to a power source).
  3. If you are using an ethernet connection, locate the ethernet port on the back of your gateway and securely insert an ethernet cable. (See Figure 4 )
  4. Power the gateway with the included power adapter.
  5. Allow the unit a few seconds to power on. The LED strip should begin blinking white.

Warning
Please remember to follow the following steps when using your SyncroB.it Gateway.

  1. Never power on the Gateway without its antenna connected as this may damage the unit.
  2. Do not install this device on top of any other electrical equipment or install any other equipment on top of this device. Keep this device away from any heat sources such as direct sunlight, heaters, radiators, or other A/V receivers or devices that emit heat.

Setting up your Gateway

Download and install the Helium application from the App Store or Play store and follow the on-screen instructions. Once you have set up your Helium wallet, go to hotspots and tap setup hotspots (See Figure 5), from the list, select SyncroB.it Hotspot (See Figure 6) and follow the onscreen instructions.

This equipment generates uses and can radiate radio frequency energy, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or  television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:

  1. Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
  2. Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
  3. Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.
    Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.

FCC Radiation Exposure Statement:
The equipment complies with FCC radiation exposure limits set forth for uncontrolled environments. This equipment should be installed and operated with a minimum  distance 20cm between the radiator and your body
