Hikvision Camera Installation Steps

Download Hikvision SADPTool software from the following web address: https://www.hikvision.com/en/support/tools/hitools/clea8b3e4ea7da90a9/

Search for any connected Hikvision camera using SADPTool software. PLEASE DO NOT CONNECT YOUR CAMERA TO THE NVR AT THIS MOMENT
- Make sure your computer and camera are on the same network
- You should see your camera in INACTIVE status

Initialize Hikvision camera using SADPTool software

Select the camera with INACTIVE status

Activate camera by creating a new password

Enable DHCP on Hikvision camera using SADPTool
- Select your camera
- Click ENABLE DHCP checkbox
- Click MODIFY button

Access Hikvision camera local Web UI
- Obtain the IP address of your camera from SADPTool software
- Enter IP address of your camera into a web browser

Enable ONVIF and Hikvision-CGI Integration protocol on Hikvision camera in the Web page interface You can skip this step if you cannot find the INTEGRATION PROTOCOL. Older Hikvision cameras might not have this option. Use the same username and password to access your camera on the local web interface to connect Hikvision camera to the Turing Smart NVR. Go to the following menu on the Hikvision software:Enter IP address of your camera into a web browser
- Network
- Advanced Settings
- Integration Protocol
- Check ENABLE ONVIF
- Select DIGEST for Hikvision-CGI Authentication

Click ADD button to create ONVIF username and password Please remember your username and password which are used to connect Hikvision camera to with Turing Smart NVR

Click SAVE button
- Verify Hikvision camera encoding settings Go to the following menu:
- Configuration
- Video/Audio
- Change Stream Type to SUB-STREAM
- The recommended encoding settings for Sub-stream are as follows:
Encode Mode/Video Compression| H.264

Resolution| 720P or best resolution available with 16:9 aspect ratio
Bitrate Type| CBR
Bit Rate| 768
Frame Rate (fps)| 15
I-Frame Interval|

Enable motion detection on Hikvision camera Go to the following menu:
- Configuration
- Motion Detection
- Select ENABLE MOTION DETECTION
- Click SAVE button

Connect Hikvision camera to Turing Smart NVR Connect your camera directly to Turing Smart NVR and go to the following menus on the TURING software:
- Setup
- Camera
- Camera
- Select your camera and click MODIFY button
- “Edit the “Username” and “Password” fields to match the credentials you set when enabling ONVIF protocol.
- Click SAVE button
- Power cycle the camera which may take a few minutes

Click on REFRESH button to make sure your camera is highlighted green

Enable Hikvision motion on Turing Smart NVR local web UI Connect your camera directly to Turing Smart NVR and go to the following menus on the TURING software:
- Setup
- Camera
- Camera
- Select your camera and click MODIFY button
NOTE: Please contact Turing Support to request the ability to enable video motion on the Turing Vision platform.

Add Hikvision cameras onto the Turing Vision Platform software Install Turing Bridge on the same network as Turing Smart NVR. Download the Turing Video mobile app
- Login with your USERNAME and PASSWORD
- Go to SETTINGS
- ADD CAMERAS to add your cameras to the NVR

No, Vision cloud only supports Hikvision motion events at the moment
Q: How can I find the IP address for my Hikvision camera?
When camera is connected over network, use Hikvision’s SADP tool software to
search for camera’s IP address.
Q: How can I edit camera settings after connecting camera to NVR?On NVR Web interface go to the following menus:
- Setup
- Camera
- Camera.
- Click ACCESS button to access individual camera settings directly.
