How to remove the battery covers
IMPORTANT: Use high quality alkaline batteries for longer playing times.
Button, switch and port functions
NOTE: Button functions may vary per game.
- Power switch – Turns the device on and off and return to the main menu of games.
- Power port (SV IN) – To power the Pocket Player™ with a Micro-USB cable (not included).
- Volume buttons – To raise and lower the volume.
- SELECT button – To select in game.
- START button – To start the game.
- A and B buttons – Action buttons for game play.
- Headphone jack – To listen with 3.5mm headphones (not included).
- Directional pad – To select game from main menu and move during game play.
Sleep mode power saving
Please note this device is equipped with sleep mode to preserve battery life and will tum off after 10 minutes of inactivity. Press the SELECT button or move the power switch to the off position to reset your device. Once reset, you will lose game progress and be directed back to the main menu.
First time use
- Remove the battery covers on the back of the handheld.
- Insert 4 AAA batteries and replace the battery covers.
- If you do not want to use batteries, gently insert the Micro-USS end of a Micro-USS cable (not included) into the power port (5V IN) located on the top of the console. Gently insert the other end of the cable into a powered USB port. When using this option you do not need to add batteries.
- Move the power switch from off () to on (0).
NOTE: High score does not save after the device has been turned off.
GOAL!
Lace up your boots, hit the pitch and win the Cup.
STARTING THE GAME
Press the START button and choose between the World Cup (WORLD CUP), a 3 round
tournament (Tournament), compete in a shootout between the goalie
(Shoot(competition)) or continue a previous game that you have received a
password for (Continue). You will use the directional pad and A button to
select your team.
OFFENSE
- MOVE PLAYER: Directional pad.
- WEAVE PLAYER: Up left and up right on directional pad, PASS BALL: B button and directional pad direction you want to pass (Press at the same time).
- SHOOT BALL: A button and directional pad direction you want to shoot (Press at the same time).
- HOOK BALL : B button and directional pad up/left (FIG. 1) (Press and hold, this must be done after the ball has been kicked),
- SLICE BALL: B button and directional pad up/right (FIG. 1) (Press and hold, this must be done after the ball has been kicked),
- BACK SPIN SHOT: B button and down on directional pad (Press and hold, this must be done after the ball has been kicked),
- EXTENDING SPIN SHOT: B button and up on directional pad (Press and hold, this must be done after the ball has been kicked),
- THROW IN: B button and directional pad direction you want to throw (Press at the same time).
- HEADING THE BALL: A button and directional pad direction you want to hit (This must be done as the ball is above player),
DEFENSE
- MOVE PLAYER: Directional pad.
- CHANGE PLAYER: B button.
- TACKLING OR TAKING BALL AWAY : A button and directional pad towards player with the ball (Press at the same time. This will only function when you are close to the player with the ball).
RACKET ATTACK
Grab your racket and serve up some aces on your path to becoming champion.
STARTING THE GAME
Press START button to start a game or continue a game you received a password
for (CONTINUE) using the directional pad and A button. Select if you want to
play as a man or woman, review player profile (PROFILE) or start a new game
(PLAY). Use the B button to return to selection when in player profile. Once a
game starts, select your player and type of court to play on. To win you need
to score an additional 2 points.
SERVICE
TOSS BALL: B button.
SWING: A button.
DIRECTION OF SERVE: Directional pad (FIG. 1) (You must hit the ball inside
service area to score a point).
TYPES OF SERVES
- SPIN SERVE: B button and left on directional pad (FIG. 2) followed by the A button.
- STRAIGHT SERVE: B button and up on directional pad (FIG. 2) followed by the A button.
- SLICE SERVE: B button and right on directional pad (FIG. 2) followed by the A button.
TYPES OF HITS
- SMASHES AND SLICES: A button (You must be close to the net).
- VOLLEY AND LOB SHOTS: B button (You must be farther away from the net),

STARTING THE GAME
Press START button and select 1 player (lPLAYER), watch the game between the computer (WATCH) or continue a game with a password from a previous game (CONTINUE} using the directional pad and A button. If you select 1 player, you will be asked to play 1 on 1 or 2 on 2. Select a player or look at their profile (PROFILE) and the computer will select who you play against. Use the B button to return to selection when in player profile. Select the score to play to (10, 15, 20 or 25), losers out (L-OUT) or winners out (W-OUT), location of the court and if you will SHOOT FOR POSSESSION or AROUND THE WORLD mode. -
SHOOT FOR POSSESSION: Shoot the ball to see who goes first then proceed to play a half-court game, each shot counts as 1 point. The arrow must be directly over the hoop to make the basket when shooting to see who goes first.

AROUND THE WORLD: Shoot to see who goes first. First player shoots and the other player must make the same shot to continue. First person to make the basket at all 11 locations first wins. The arrow must be directly over the hoop to make the basket when shooting to see who goes first.

OFFENSE
- MOVE PLAYER: Directional pad.
- SHOOT: B button.
- SHOOTING (SHOOT FOR POSSESSION): B button to jump and B button again to shoot (If you do not press A or 8 after jumping you will be charged with traveling).
- PASSING (2 ON 2) : Press A button to pass between your players.
- SLAM DUNK: B button to jump and B button again to release (You must be within the paint and in front of the foul line).

DEFENSE
- MOVE PLAYER: Directional pad.
- STEAL BALL: A button to enter defensive stance and A button again to steal (You must be close enough to the opponent to steal the ball. An arrow will flash below your player when you have stolen the ball and you must return to half-court first in order to shoot the ball).
- BLOCK BALL: B button (You must be close enough to the opponent to block the ball).

choose from the 12 available teams and lead your squad to the Pennant! Play a full, 132-game season and capture the World Championship.
STARTING THE GAME
Press the START button to begin (PENNANT), After each game you will be given a
password to continue the game from where you left off. Use the directional pad
to select letters for your password, press the A button once complete. If you
do not have a password, press the A button and then select your team and
pitcher.

Dominate the 130-game season to advance to the World Series. Once in the World Series, you’ll have to win a best-of-seven series to be crowned champion.

STARTING THE GAME
Choose to start a new game (START) with the START button or continue a game with a password from a previous game (CONTINUE) using the SELECT button. Select 1 player (1PLAY), your league, and team using the directional pad and A button. The computer will select a team for you to play against, press the A button to begin. Change your players (PLAYER CHANGE) and lineup (LINE UP) and once you are ready select PLAYBALL and you will then be asked to select your starting pitcher. -
PITCHING (DEFENSE)

Do you have what it takes to play the perfect game? Play a single exhibition game but make sure to be on your A-game – you’ll be graded on your performance.

STARTING THE GAME
Choose to start a new game (1 P), watch a game between the computer (WATCH), or edit your lineup (EDIT) using the SELECT button then A button to begin. Select your team, the team you will play against, location you will play at and then your starting lineup using the directional pad and A button. Once you have selected your lineup move the arrow to READY and press A button to begin. The goal is not only to outscore the opponent but also to get a perfect 100 against a level 5 team. -
BATTING (OFFENSE)
- MOVE BATTER: Directional pad.
- SWING BAT (ACROSS PLATE): A button (Press and hold).
- SWING BAT (HIGH): A button and up on directional pad (Press and hold at the same time). SWING BAT (LOW): A button and down on directional pad (Press and hold at the same time).

The Pennant race is back! Choose between a single exhibition game or the regular season mode which includes a 130-game season.
STARTING THE GAME
Choose to start a new game (PLAY) or select OPTIONS to turn off music or to
use a designated hitter (DH) using the directional pad and A button. Once in a
new game, select to play a regular season (REGULAR SEASON) or exhibition game
(EXHIBITION). In regular season, you can start a new game (START) or continue
a previous game that you have received a password for (CONTINUE). Exhibition
you can play 1 player (1P) or watch a game between the computer (WATCH). You
will then select your team and batting order, the first team that appears in
batting order will bat first. In a regular season game, the computer decides
who will bat first. Once you have selected the batting order for both teams
select READY to begin the game.

Battery information
Leakage of battery acid can cause personal injury as well as damage to this product. If battery leakage occurs, thoroughly wash the affected skin and clothes. Keep battery acid away from your eyes and mouth. Leaking batteries may make popping sounds.
- Batteries should be installed and replaced only by an adult.
- Do not mix used and new batteries (replace all batteries at the same time).
- Do not mix different brands of batteries.
- We do not recommend using batteries labeled “Heavy Duty’; nGeneral Use’; “Zinc Chloride’; or “Zinc Carbon’:
- Do not leave batteries in the product for long periods of non-use.
- Remove batteries and store them in a cool, dry place when not in use.
- Remove depleted batteries from the unit.
- Do not put the batteries in backwards. Make sure that the positive(+) and negative(-) ends are facing in the correct direction. Insert the negative ends first.
- Do not use damaged, deformed or leaking batteries.
- Do not recharge non-rechargeable batteries.
- Remove rechargeable batteries from the device before charging.
- Dispose batteries only at the government approved recycling facilities in your area.
- Do not short circuit battery terminals.
- Tampering with your device can result in damage to your product, void of warranty, and could cause injuries.
- Warning: CHOKING HAZARD small parts. Not suitable for children under 36 months.
- The restriction accompany the age warning.
- Adapter for use with the device requires: DC 5V, 250mA.
- Only use an adapter that meets the device’s requirements.
- The adapter is not a toy.

- Rechargeable batteries should only be charged under the supervision of an adult.
- The toy must only be used with a toy transformer.

All My Arcade8 products come with a limited warranty and have been subjected
to a thorough series of tests to ensure the highest level of dependability and
compatibility. It is unlikely that you will experience any problem, but if a
defect should become apparent during the use of this product, My Arcade•
warrants to the original consumer purchaser that this product will be free
from defects in material and workmanship for a period of 120 days from the
date of your original purchase.
If a defect covered by this warranty occurs to a product purchased in the U.S.
or Canada, My Arcade•, at its option, will repair or replace the product
purchased at no charge or refund the original purchase price. If a replacement
is necessary and your product is no longer available, a comparable product may
be substituted at the sole discretion of
My Arcade•. For My Arcade• products purchased outside of the U.S. and Canada,
please ask the store where it was purchased for further information.
This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, abusive use or misuse,
modification, tampering or any other cause not related to either materials or
workmanship. This warranty does not apply to products used for any industrial,
professional or commercial purposes.
Service information
For service on any defective product under the 120-day warranty policy, please contact Consumer Support to obtain a Return Authorization Number. My Arcade• reserves the right to require the return of the defective product and proof of purchase.
