Install the batteries:
a. Slide the battery compartment in the indicated direction and open it.
b. Insert the batteries following the direction that the compartment
cover indicates. Make sure to place the positive and negative pole correctly.
c. Slide the battery compartment in the indicated direction and close ii.
Install the Speed lite in the camera:
- Tum the wheel of the base in the direction indicated up to its maximum opening.
- Mountthe Speedlite in the flash sensors.
- Tum the wheel of the base in the direction indicated up to its maximum closing.
Status Indicator/ power saving mode:
- Steady red light: Indicates thatthe batteries are full.
- Flashing red light: Indicates that the device is charging.
Power Saving Mode
- The flash goes into a sleep mode for 60 seconds if no operation occurs.
- To activate the Speed lite again, press the PILOT button.
Low Battery
- An indicator will be displayed on the screen: LO-BA.
- The screen must be turned off and the battery changed.
Basic Operations
Buttons:
Power switch: turn the flash on or off.
LCD panel: press this button to turn the LCD panel on or off.
MODE: press once, the button will alternate between the TTUM/RPT modes.
TIMES: adjusts the setting times in the RPTmode.
Hz: adjusts the frequency ofthe flash.
PILOT: press this button to check the brightness level of the flash.
SET: press the button to set the parameters, turn the dial button to
adjust the output. Press SET again to confirm the settings
Turn on the device. ON/OFF
The device turns on or off through the ON /OFF switch.
The Speedlile will emit the flash light when the PILOT button is pressed.
Memory Function
The Speedlite will recover the last mode used and its parameters.
TTL Mode
Put the Speed lite in M, AV or TV mode, a light will begin to emit through the
camera lens.
A”TTL” indicator will be displayed on the Speedlite screen when that mode is
being used.
Decrease the GN Exposure
Press the SET button and turn the wheel of the dial. Adjust the exposure in
the value you prefer. The valid exposure values are among: -0.3, -0.7, -1.0,
-1.3, -1.7, -2.0, -2.3, – 2.7and-3.
Increase the Exposure
Press the SET button. Turn the wheel of the dial to increase/decrease the
exposure. The allowed exposure values are: +0.3,+0.7,
+1.0,+1.3,+1.7,+2.0,+2.3, +2.7 and +3.0 degrees.
Flash Test
In any mode, you can press the PILOT button to check if the flash light works
correctly. When checking the test, the flash will emit the light corresponding
to the selected power output indicator.
Restore Factory Values
- Tum on the flash, then press the SET button and connect the batteries. The flash will return to its state by default and will display the date and version.
- Overheating Protection
- If the flash light is used very frequently, the overheating system will alternate between red and green lights in the charge indicator and the flash will be blocked. In this case, wail until the indicator remains green, and then cancel the protection before using it again.
- Please use the 1/4 output or lower when a rapid repetition of flash needed to prevent overheating.
- Stroboscopic Mode
The stroboscopic flash is a mode that can analyze movement of the subject. In this mode, the flash can capture a series of movements of the subject in several photographs. You can set the frequency of the flash (flash per second, expressed in Hz).
- Press the MODE button to switch to the Stroboscopic Mode.
- To increase the brightness in the flash, press the SET button. Turn the dial to adjust the desired value. The maximum brightness that the Speedlight allows is 1/8.
- To decrease the brightness of the flash, press the SET button. Turn the dial to adjust the desired value. The minimum brightness that the Speedlight allows is 1/128.
- To change the number of repetitions, press the button TIMES. Turn the dial to set the number of RPT times. To adjust the frequency of the repetitions, press the button TIMES. Turn the dial to adjust the RPT frequency. The available frequency is 1-100. The flash settings will be saved when you press the button again.
M Mode
- In the Manual mode you can set the flash as you wish.
- Press the MODE button to switch to the Manual Mode.
- To increase the brightness of the Speedlight, press the SET button. Turn the dial to adjust the brightness of the flash. The maximum value allowed is 1/1.
- To decrease the brightness of the Speed light, press the SET button. Turn the dial to adjust the brightness of the flash. The minimum value allowed is 1/128.
How to use the TTL
- Press until the shutter button is halfway to focus.
- The Speedlight will connect with the camera and display the opening value.
- Press the shutter button to take a picture. The Speedlight will activate the TTL flash automatically.
