Please note before using

Thank you for purchasing the Bluetooth headset BTH -068. Please heck the contents of this package to verify that the items listed on the box come with the product. Be sure to read this user guide before using the headset. The BTH-068 has been developed using Bluetooth wireless technology and is able to connect to other Bluetooth devices with Audio Gateway and PDAs. Both computers and laptops can be paired with the headset through a USB receiver. Before using the headset, please verify that the Bluetooth device (phone, PDA) is compatible with Bluetooth V2.1 that is what the Bluetooth Headset has.

NOTE : Before using the headset for the first time, be sure to fully charge the unit for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight (8-10 hours).

Recharge

The headset comes with a lithium polymer battery. To charge the unit:

  1. Plug the travel charger into an electrical outlet.
  2. Plug the travel charger into the headset.
  3. While charging, the LED indicator light turns red. When the charge is complete, the red indicator will tum off or will flash red to warn that the unit is fully charged and ready for use.

NOTE : If the headset has not been used in over 21 days, when you recharge it, do so for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight (8-10 hours) as the battery will need a full charge. Please do not use the headphones while charging the unit.

Use the original charger provided with the handset to charge/ recharge the unit. When the LED indicator light flashes in red while in use or while in standby, it means that the battery is low and you should recharge the unit as soon as possible. Recharge the handset at ambient temperatures of no less than 14° F (-10° C) to+ 113g F (+45g C).

**Power On / Off**

  1. To turn the unit on, press and hold the function button for 5 seconds. The device will tum on when you see the blue LED indicator light flashing 3 times.
  2. To turn the unit off, press and hold the function button for 5 seconds until the red indicator light flashes 3times.

When turning the headset, you will hear a • Du Du” the sound from the receiver. The blue indicator light flashes 5 times, then 2 times and after repeating the process for 5 cycles, the blue indicator light flashes every 3 seconds until the unit enters standby mode.

While the headset is on, it will automatically search the paired device. In the “OW mode and within the effective range of 30 feet from the headset, the indicator flashes blue to indicate it is in connection mode.

When you connect the headset, you will hear a ·Bi” followed by two sounds of “Du” and the indicator will turn off after the red light flashes a few times.

Pairing

First, make sure your phone is Bluetooth enabled.

By linking the two devices, please place the phone and headset together (the distance must be less than a meter) to ensure seamless synchronization.

Synchronize with a phone

  1. Tum on both the headset and the phone you want to synchronize;
  2. Press the headset MFB for 8 seconds until the blue and red indicator lights flash, meaning that the headset is ready to be synchronized;
  3. Activate the Bluetooth function of the mobile phone to enter the search mode and find Bluetooth devices (refer to your phone manual for further instructions).
  4. Select “BTH-068” amen Dhe ~ Q} in the devices found in the phone. Then confirm according to the conditions.
  5. Enter the PIN code “0000w to confirm and finish the pairing.

When the headset gives light flashes of the blue LED indicator, it means that the headset and the mobile phone pairing has been completed and they are connected.

Synchronize with two phones

The BTH–068 Bluetooth headset has a double bond function, so that two phones can be connected to it simultaneously.

  1. For the first phone the steps are the same as in “synchronize with a phone”.
  2. Tum off the Bluetooth function of the first phone temporarily.
  3. Synchronize the second set and after that, tum off the handset. Then tum the Bluetooth function of the first paired phone and restart the handset. The headset will automatically connect to both phones.

NOTE : When the headset has been connected with two mobile phones, if it is used to make calls with any of them, the headset will automatically disconnect with the another phone temporarily and will reconnect when the call ends. It may be that the dual synchronization is not compatible with certain mobile devices.

__Using the headphones

According to your preferences, set the handset to have it over your left or right ear.

Answering calls

  1. When a call is received, wait until you hear the sound of your handset before pressing the function button to answer the call.
  2. If the mobile device is ringing, wait until the handset rings and then press the function button.
  3. When responding to calls, the blue indicator light flashes 4 times per second.
  4. If the phone is ringing and the headset is off, first, tum the handset and press the function button to answer the call.
  5. If your mobile device has an “automatic response” and your phone is set for this setting, when a call is received, the handset will receive the call automatically without having to press the function button.

NOTE : For mobile phones, the handset ringer sound can be the same as the ringing sound as {true Nokia phone) in some mobile phones, the sound will be different (e.g. Motorola mobils phones).

Rejecting calls

To reject a call, press and hold the function button for 2-3 seconds until you hear the “Du” sound.

If you have a mobile device configured to automatically answer the calls, “reject call” as described herein will not apply.

**Ending a call**

  1. When you end the call, press the function button to end the call.
  2. You can also wait until the caller hangs up and the call is automatically disconnected.

Voice dialing

  1. If your phone supports voice dialing, you can use this feature with the headset.
  2. In the standby or connection mode, press the function button on the headset and follow the instructions of the manufacturer of mobile devices to proceed with voice dialing.

NOTE : The voice dial activation depends on the design of your mobile device.

The distance range of the headset is about 15 feet and 15-30 feet outdoors.

Redial

  1. If your mobile device has a redial function, you can also use this feature with the headset.
  2. In the standby or connection mode, press the MFB twice to redial the last call.

Silence

  1. During the call, press and hold the Decrease Volume(-) key for 2-3 seconds until you hear a “du du” tone.
  2. While the unit is muted, two long “du du• tones will be heard every 4 seconds.
  3. To cancel mute mode, press the Decrease Volume (-) key for 2-3 seconds until you hear two short “du du” sound tones.

Transferring a call

  1. Transferring a call from the headset to a mobile device. While a call is in progress, press the Increase Volume(+) key for 2-3 seconds until you hear a “du du” sound.
  2. Transferring a call from the mobile device to the headphones.

While a call is in progress, press the Increase Volume(+) key for 2-3 seconds until you hear a “du du” sound. Note that some phones may require you to press the function button for 2-3 seconds instead of the Increase Volume(+) key to perform this function.

NOTE : To activate this function, the mobile device must be compatible with the hands free mode. For more details, see the instructions of the manufacturer of the mobile device for further information.

__**Adjusting the volume**

During a call, you can adjust the volume of the headset.

  1. To increase the volume, press the Increase Volume(+) key.
  2. To decrease the volume, press the Decrease Volume(-) key.

NOTE : You will hear the “du du” sound while the volume to the highest and lowest values is adjusted.

Safety Instructions

  1. Read this manual very carefully.
  2. THIS IS NOT A TOY. Keep the headset away from the children and prevent the children from chewing or swallowing any part of the headset.
  3. To clean the headphones, wipe with a soft dry cloth and static-free cleaning.
  4. NEVER use cleaning fluids, solvents or sprays to clean the headset.
  5. Do not clean the headset while it is charging.
  6. If you have any problems, contact the seller immediately.

Urgent processing

If a problem occurs, turn the headset immediately.

In case of breakage of the components, contact the establishment of a repair facility and instructions for immediate service and support.

**Troubleshooting**

  1. If the LED indicator flashes in red, it means the battery is low and the unit has to be recharged immediately.
  2. If, after being charging for 20 minutes, the headset does not tum on: let it charge about 40 minutes minimum, since the battery will be very worn out.
  3. If the battery has worn out or the handset has not been used for 21 days, when you charge it, the red indicator will turn on after a few minutes.
  4. No sound can be heard from the headphones:
  • Make sure that the headset and the device are synchronized.
  • Make sure the headset is paired with a Bluetooth enabled device.

Make sure that the distance between the headset and the paired Bluetooth device is not more than 30 feet. * Some mobile phones with Bluetooth may only support one handset. In this case, if you have the headphones synchronized to the headset, you will have to disable one of them.

Recharge the headset at least every two months whether it is used or not.

**** Using accessories other than those originally supplied by the manufacturer, may cause the headphones to malfunction or fail. Besides, the damage to the product. conflicts with the manufacturer’s electric chargers, cannot result in the cancellation of the product warranty.

Do not disassemble your headset for any reason. This can damage the headset accidentally and void the manufacturer’s warranty. Store the headset away from dust, heat and areas where it can fall. Use a static-free soft cloth to clean the surfaces of the headphones. You can put the headset in a pocket when it is not in use. Do not allow children to play with the headphones, as it may cause damage to the unit and thus any hazard to young children is avoided. Avoid storing the headphones and chargers in extreme temperature.

Travel Charger

  1. The travel charger is designed for indoor use and should not be used outdoors.
  2. Connect the travel charger to the appropriate power source.
  3. Do not unplug the travel charger from the outlet by the cable. Use the wall socket to remove the charger from the outlet.

Battery

  1. For its first use, charge the battery for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight (8-10 hours).
  2. Only authorized personnel can carry out a battery replacement.
  3. Under normal use, the internal battery should last up to 24 months or more, depending on the usage.
  4. The battery must be recharged at ambient temperatures of no less than 14° F (-10° C) or more than 113° F (+45° C) to remain in warranty and to maximize the life of the battery.
  5. Using headphones at normal ambient temperatures allows the battery to maximize its useful life.
  6. When it is used in a colder climate, the life of the headset battery may decrease.

✓ The warranty is extended for two years, referring only 10 manufacturing defects.
✓ The expedition to the nearest service center or our central office lo be made prepaid. The item must arrive well packed and with all its components.
✓ Assume no liability for damages arising from misuse of the product.
✓ The warranty does not apply in the following cases:

  1. If you have not been followed this manual correctly
