SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

WARNING:

• Do not touch exposed cables with your bare hands when operating the appliance.
• It is dangerous to touch the plug when your hand is wet.
• When using the refrigerator in a vehicle or boat, please make sure the electricity has a fuse if using mains power.
• The installation of the DC power source in a boat should be handled by qualified personnel.
• Make sure the voltage is correct. Check technical data label
• Do not place any electrical devices inside the refrigerator.
• Please keep the appliance away from substances which can cause fire ignition.
• The appliance is not intended for use by young children or infirm persons unless they are adequately supervised by a responsible person to ensure that they can use the unit safely.
• Young children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

PLEASE NOTE:

• Your refrigerator requires good ventilation, especially around the back of the unit. Allow a gap of at least 200mm around the back and 100mm around the right.
• Avoid humidity. Humidity inside the appliance can form frost and impair cooling. Therefore, defrost it before this happens. Never clean the appliance under running water or in dishwater.
• Avoid placing your refrigerator near a heat source. This helps the refrigerator work more efficiently and keep contents cool.
• Place the refrigerator on a flat surface and away from any edges. When placing the refrigerator into the car, please use the belt to fasten it securely.

  1. If you press any button, the refrigerator will have a buzzer alarm sound.
  2. When the battery level reaches 1, a buzzer alarm will sound.

• Cable Length Specification
  The DC cables must have a suitable cross-section for their lenght, according to this table:

• The length is from the battery to the refrigerator.
  Temperature setting range:-20°C∼20°C
  The LCD Display range: -20°C∼40°C

• Press the button or button to adjust the temperature the unit aims to achieve. Press the button to increase or the button to decrease the temperature.

• Press the left bin button and button at the same time to cut off the left bin cooling (only right bin cooling).

• Only set one temperature at a time.

• ON/OFF Power Button: Press ON/OFF button to turn the unit off, then press the ON/OFF button to turn unit on.

• If the power source is cut off or disconnected, the unit will switch off automatically and once the power is restored it will automatically switch back on with the same settings.

• Press the Compressor Speed button to set the speed of the compressor, Max (3000 RPM), MIN (2000 RPM) the LCD light will show which speed is selected.

• Press the Battery Protection button to set the voltage the fridge cuts out at, LOW, MED or HIGH. The LCD light will show which voltage is selected.

• Press the button ,then the light of the left and right bin turn on and the LCD will display, Press the button again, the light turn off; If you forget to turn off the right, the light will turn off automatically in 3 minutes.

• The left bin can be set as cold or warmer than the right bin.

• If the power supply is cut off, the refrigerator will switch on automatically when power is returned.

Downloading the “BRASS MONKEY ” Application

• Using a pre-installed QR reader on your handheld smart device scan the QR code in the manual or on the carton, or search for “BRASS MONKEY ” application in iTunes App Store (for Apple devices) or Goog le store (Android Devices).
• Connect the fridge to power and switch it on using the control panel.
• Start the application and select the “Search ” function.
• The application will prompt you to pair the fridge by pressing the “set button ” on the fridge’s control panel. Once “set button ” has been activated, the fridge will be paired with your smart device and the application will switch to a control panel allowing you to control the fridge’s functions.

CLEANING & MAINTENANCE

• Be sure to cut off all input power before cleaning appliance.
• Clean the appliance inside and out with a damp cloth once a week. If it is dirty, using sodium bicarbonate dissolved in lukewarm water can be used to clean.
• Never use abrasive products, detergents or soap. After washing, rinse with clean water and dry carefully. Do not leave the refrigerator shut off, warm inside or with food inside or lid closed.
• Never clean the appliance under running water or in dish water. Do not use abrasive cleaning agents or hard objects during cleaning as these can damage the refrigerator.

TROUBLESHOOTING

• Whether the fuse has been burned out
• Whether the appliance has been turned on

• The setting temperature is too low

• Problems arising from poor ventilation
• There is too much heated food inside

• Flow of the refrigerant.

• The refrigerator is not placed on a level surface

Does Brass Monkey fridge have a battery?

Once the  Brass Monkey battery  power runs down to the point where fridge goes into F1 low battery protection mode, turn off the battery, or connect the fridge to an external power supply to recharge the battery. If the battery is further discharged, the battery may enter the protection state.

Does a refrigerator require a 15 or 20-amp circuit?

A modern refrigerator requires a dedicated  20-amp circuit. You may currently have a smaller refrigerator plugged into a general lighting circuit, but during any major remodeling, install a dedicated circuit (120/125-volts) for the refrigerator.

How long do Brass Monkey fridges run on battery?

Simply snap the battery into place and it will fit directly inside your Brass Monkey fridge. It’s lightweight, yet powerful enough to keep your fridge running for  three hours  (based on the GH2024 model) which lets you continuously cool your food and beer.

Will a 12V fridge drain my car battery while driving?

By connecting to the 12v cigarette lighter socket, the fridge will take power from the car when it is running but as soon as the car is turned off it will continue drawing from, and therefore draining, the starter battery.
