IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Read these instructions carefully and retain them for future use. If this product is passed to a third party, then these instructions must be included.

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and/or injury to persons including the following:

CAUTION Risk of electric shock! To prevent risk of electric shock, turn off the power at the main circuit breaker box before installation.
WARNING Risk of fire! Most dwellings built before 1985 have supply wiring rated up to 140 °F (60 ºC). Consult a qualified electrician before installation.
CAUTION Risk of electric shock! This product must be installed in accordance with the applicable installation cod by a person familiar with the construction and operation of the product and the hazards involved. Consult a qualified electrician to ensure correct branch circuit conductor.
CAUTION Risk of eye damage! LEDs emit bright light. Avoid looking directly into the light source for prolonged periods.

  • This product is rated 120 VAC and must be connected to a suitable power source.
  • This product is not intended for recessed installation in ceilings, or soffits.
  • Do not install any lighting assembly closer than 6″ (15 cm) from any curtain or similar combustible material.
  • The product employs non-replaceable LED light sources.
  • Contact the municipal building department to learn about applicable local codes, permits and/or inspections.
  • This product is intended for use in accordance with the National Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA 70, and the Canadian Electrical Code, Part I, in non-hazardous locations, and the Mexican Electrical Code [Instalaciones Eléctricas (utilización), NOM-001-SEDE].
  • Do not hang anything on the product.

Intended Use
  • This product is intended for residential use only. It is not intended for commercial use.
  • This product is intended to be used in dry, damp and wet indoor areas.image

Before First Use
  • Check the product for transport damages.
  • Remove all the packing materials.

Installation Instructions

Risk of of shock! Disconnect power before installation.

WARNING: Take special precautions when working on heights, for example, while using a ladder. Use the right type of ladder and ensure it is structurally sound. Use the ladder in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.

NOTICE: This product is intended for wall mount only. It should be mounted in a horizontal position only with the light source pointing down.

Wiring

Risk of electric shock! To prevent risk of electric shock, turn off the power at the main circuit breaker box before installation.
WARNING Risk of electric shock! This product must be connected to a properly grounded electrical system. Never wire the product to a two-wire system that is not grounded. Contact a qualified electrician for information with regards to proper grounding methods as required by the local electrical code in your area.

  • Using a flat screwdriver, remove the desired knockout cover on the mounting bracket (B).
  • Pass the wires through the mounting bracket (B).
  • Use the twist-on wire connectors (C) to join the wires.
  • Fasten the mounting bracket (B) to the barn light (A) using 2 bolts (D).

Switch on/off (photocell function)
The built-in photocell (dusk to dawn sensor) automatically switches the product on at dusk, and switches it off at dawn.
If product cycles on and off, reposition the product to ensure the light is not reflecting back of any surrounding surfaces.

Cleaning

Risk of electric shock! To prevent electric shock, turn off the power at the main circuit breaker box before cleaning.

  • To clean the product, wipe with a soft, slightly moist cloth.
  • Never use corrosive detergents, wire brushes, abrasive scourers, metal or sharp utensils to clean the product.
