Technical Specifications
The specifications of the power supply are printed on the power adapter.
- Operating temperature: 5 – 35°C
- Storage Temperature: 20 – 65°C
- Weight Range: 220 kg (485 lbs.)
- Division: 100 g (3.53 oz.)
Instruction
Measurement values may be affected by extreme electrostatic and electromagnetic interference, e.g. during the operation of a transmitter or a cell phone near the device. Once the interference subsides, the product may revert to normal operation. Possibly, it may be necessary to turn the scale off and on again.
Similarly, draft, vibrations, rapid temperature changes and direct exposure to sunlight may affect de results of the measurement.
The scale is in conformity with degree of protection IP 20. Therefore, the
device should not be operated in high relative humidity, vapours, liquids and
strong pollution. This may damage the mechanical and electrotechnical
components of the scale and would void your warranty entitlement.
The device is shielded for EMC in conformity with the applicable EC directive
2004/108/EC.
Functions
Startup
Insert the power adapter cable into the platform’s rear panel to connect power to the scales.
Weighing
Simply step on the scales (it is unnecessary to turn on the device).
Height Measurement with BMI Indication
Carefully pop-up the measuring rod for height measurement and slide up the head piece. Next, please position the head piece on the patient’s head.
The display will automatically indicate the measured length in centimeters (inches) followed by the Body-Mass-Index.
Taring the Scale
Pres Scale function key on the rear of the display tares the scale.
Press button; the display indicates “0.0 kg” (0.0 lbs) and the scale is ready
for use.
Mother/Child Function
An adult steps onto the scale.
The display indicates e.g. ’47,6 kg’ (104.7 lbs)
Press the function key.
The displayed value changes to ’0,0 kg’ (0.0 lbs)
The mother may now step off the scales …
Displayed value ’47,6 kg’ (104.7 lbs)
… and steps again onto the scales holding the child.
Now the display indicates the weight of the e.gch.“il5d,,1 kg” (11.2 lbs)
When the mother holding the child steps off the scales, the displayed value in the example reverts to ’47,6 kg’ (104.7 lbs).
Pressing the function key allows you to reset the scales to ’0,0 kg’ (0.0 lbs).
The scale does not automatically reset to ’0,0 kg’ (0.0 lbs) so several taring sessions may be carried out, one after another.
Switching OFF
The scale automatically switches off when the displayed value has been ’0,0 kg’ (0.0 lbs) for approx. 15 seconds.
Changing the Units of Measurement
As standard, the scale operates with kg as the unit of measurement. Please proceed as follows if you want to change the scale’s unit of measurement:
- Pull the power adapter from the outlet.
- Press and hold the function key whilst simultaneously putting the power adapter into the outlet.
- The displayed value changes to lbs.
Maintenance and Service
The device not require regular maintenance. Yet, it is useful to check
measurement accuracy at regular intervals. The frequency of such checks
depends on the use and condition of the scale.
Please contact your dealer or the Soehnle Professional Customer Service in
case of any observed deviations.
Cleaning
This device may be cleaned with a damp cloth and common cleaning products. Do not use any abrasive cleaning products.
Disposal
According to current knowledge, the upright scale does not contain any environmentally harmful substances.
Warranty/Lability
In case the supplied by Soehnle Professional develops a defect to be remedied by Soehnle Professional, the company is entitled to either fix the defect or to supply a replacement device at its sole discretion. Replaced parts will become the property of Soehnle Professional. The legal provisions apply if the repair of the defect or the delivery of the replacement device should fail. The warranty period extends for 2 years, starting on the date of purchase. Please keep your invoice as a proof of purchase. If your device needs service, please contact your dealer or the Soehnle Professional Customer Service.
Soehnle Professional does not accept any liability for any damage resulting
from the following causes:
Unsuitable, improper storage or utilisation, faulty assembly or startup by the
ordering person or by a third party, natural wear and tear, modifications or
changes, faulty or negligent handling, particularly excessive loads,
chemical, electrochemical, electrical influences or dampness, to the extent in
which these cannot be attributed to shortcomings on the part of Soehnle
Professional.
The warranty liability concerning a correctly operating device becomes void if
operational, climactic or similar influences result in a substantial change of
the circumstances or of the condition of the material. To the extent in which
Soehnle Professional offers warranty in a particular case, this warranty
covers the freedom from manufacturing defects in the delivered object during
the warranty period.
Please keep the original packaging for a possible return shipment.
