Precaution

Please read this manual carefully before using the product and keep it in a safe place for future reference.

*For the first use of STC-001-S, remove the pull tab on the battery compartment and then connect the adapter to turn on the alarm clock.

5 Operating modes

When the power is connected, toggle the switch to enter into different modes and perform corresponding operations.3 working modes: Set Mode, Nomal Mode, Lock Mode.

Set Mode            Normal Mode       Lock Mode

Setting mode (SET): toggle the switch to SET position, the device would be in the setting state and displays the time and function icons only.
Functions: set the time (including time adjustment and 12/24-hour clock), countdown / wake up / sleep / play (including the duration, sound effect, light color, and light tuns on prior to alarm time).

Normal mode (NOMAL): toggle the switch to NOMAL position, the device would be in normal state that displays normal time, facial expression and the function icons. You can turn on / off / delay the functions of a countdown, wake up, fall-asleep and play or adjust the display brightness, alarm volume, and indicator brightness.

Child Lock Mode(LOCK): toggle the switch to LOCK position to lock the alarm clock and prevent children’s improper use. Only the facial expression appears on the display in this mode.
The function keys would not work except for the following features: volume, display brightness, snooze(night light).

*Turn on or turn off multiple groups of alarm(set through APP) with a press of any function keys.You can set multiple groups of alarm through APP. Only one alarm can be set through physical keys.

6 Quick start guide (NOMAL mode)

(Toggle the switch to NOMAL position)

Display brightness adjustment

Press “ ” to adjust or turn off the brightness.

Nap Function

1. Start: press “ ”, the countdown starts and the “ ” icon appears.
2. Stop: press “ ” again, the countdown stops and the “ ” icon disappears.

Wake up Function

1. ON: press “ ”, the wake-up time displays; the “ ” icon flashes for 3 seconds and then the display returns to the normal time display.
2. OFF: press “ ” again, and the “ ” icon disappears.

Play Function

1. ON: press “ ”, the play time displays; the “ ” icon flashes for 3 seconds and then the display returns to normal time display.
2. OFF: press “ ” again, and the “ ” icon disappears.

Fall-asleep Function

1. ON: press “ ”, the fall-asleep time displays; the “ ” flashes for 3 seconds and then the display returns to the normal time display;
2. OFF: press “ ” again, and the “ ” icon disappears.

Snooze Function

1. When no alarm is triggered: press “ ” to turn on or off the light.
2. When the alarm starts sounding: press “ ” to delay the alarm.

8 Quick start guide(LOCK mode)

The facial expression and the corresponding indicator light would be displayed in LOCK mode.When LOCK mode is enabled, the function keys would not work except for the following features: volume, display brightness, snooze(night light).

When the alarm starts sounding: press “ ” to delay the alarm; press the “ ” to adjust the volume, and press “ / ” to adjust the brightness.

When no alarm is triggered: press “ ” to turn the indicator light on or off.

9 Download APP

Using the device
Connect your device to a power source and make sure your phone is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network.

Download APP
For android users, please search for Smart Life and download it from Google Play Store; for iOS users, please search for Smart Life and download it from iOS APP Store; or scan the QR code to download and install the APP.
For the first use, please click the “register” to register for an account. Click “login” if you already have an account.

10 Network Connection

Confirm the network state
• After the device is powered on for the first use, the Wi-Fi icon on the display flashes. The APP supports two modes to configure the network: EZ Mode (flash with the interval of 0.5s) and AP Mode(flash with the interval of 3s).

Network configuration
If the Wi-Fi icon is not flashing, press and hold the “snooze” button on the top of the device for 5s to reconfigure the device. Press and hold the “snooze” for 5s again to switch the Wi-Fi icon’s flash modes.

11 Add device

Add device

• Go to the home page, tap “+” in the upper right corner to add your device;
• Tap “Gateway and others” in the device list and select “Others (Wi-Fi)” to add the device following the on-screen instruction.

Manually add the device (EZ Mode)

1.Use “EZ Mode” to configure the network; confirm the Wi-Fi icon is rapidly flashing (with the interval of 0.5s), tap “confirm indicator rapidly blink” to enter the Wi-Fi connection page, input the Wi-Fi password, and then tap “confirm”;

2.The connecting page is displayed; after the network connection is successful,a page would be displayed indicating that the device has been added successfully, and you can change the device name in this page;
3.If the connection timeout page is displayed, you can select reconfigure or repeat with the above steps.

Manually add the device (AP Mode)

1.Use the “AP Mode” to configure the network; confirm the Wi-Fi icon is slowly flashing (with the interval of 2s), tap “Pairing Mode” to enter the AP Mode;
2.Enter the network configuration page, click the”confirm indicator slowly blink” button, click next step;

3.Connect your phone’s Wi-Fi to the device’s hot spot.
Tap “Go to connect” to connect with the hot spot “SmartLife_xxxx”, go back to the App for automatic configuration;The “Smart Life_XXXX” hot spot issued by the device returns to the application for automatic network configuration；
4. The connecting page is displayed; wait for the successful connection;

12 APP device state

When the power is connected, toggle the switch to enter into different modes and perform corresponding operations.3 working modes: Sey Mode, Nomal Mode, Lock Mode.

Nomal ModeThe device would be in normal state. You can customize the setting of wake-up, fall-asleep, play, and countdown functions with APP.

Lock mode: the facial expression would be displayed in LOCK mode to prevent children’s improper use. When LOCK mode is enabled, the function keys would not work except for the following features: volume, display brightness, snooze(night light).

Setting mode: set the functions through the APP and activate the functions by sliding the switch to NOMAL or LOCK after the setting.

*Turn on or turn off multiple groups of alarm(set through APP) with a press of any function keys.

13 APP operating instruction

APP button instruction

Tap Snooze(on the top): set the alarm delay function, the delay time and the button name.

Tap time display area: sync network time; set 24-hour clock; adjust display brightness and facial expression.

Tap indicator light: set the light color and light effect; adjust the brightness and volume.

• Tap Wake to enter the setting page, you can set wake-up time, alarm name, repeat cycle, facial expression, sound effect, light effect, etc.

• Tap Sleep to enter the setting page, you can set the fall-asleep time, sound, name, repeat cycle, facial expression, sound effect, light, etc.

• Tap the nap “Beep” to enter the setting page, you can set the countdown time, sound effect, name, expression pattern, sound effects, lighting, etc.

14 Device sharing

Add sharing

• Tap the icon in the upper right corner of the main page to enter the settings page; tap “Share Device” to add family members. Enter the email or phone number of that person. (You can only share with an registered account of Samrt Life APP.)

Remove the device

• Method 2: tap the icon in the upper right corner of the home page to enter the setting page. tap “Remove Device”. Unbind your phone and the alarm will enter into network configuration mode.

15 Factory reset

Factory reset

• Insert a pin to the RESET hole to restore the alarm clock to its original setting.

16 Time& 12/24-hour clock setting

1.Toggle the switch to the SET setting mode, press “ ” to set the time. The “hour” flashes in the display; adjust the hour by pressing “ ”;

2.Press “ ” to enter the minute setting.
The “minute” flashes in the display, adjust the minute by pressing “ ”;

3.Press “ ” to enter the 12/24-hour clock setting, the “12-H” flashes in the display; select 12H/24h by pressing “ ”, and then press “ ” to complete the setting;

4. After the setting is completed, toggle the switch to NOMAL or LOCK.

17 Wake-up function

1.Alarm ON/OFF/stop/snooze

1.ON: toggle the switch to NOMAL setting mode, press “ ”, the wake-up time and “ ” icon in the display flashes for 3 second;

2.OFF: press “ ” again and the “ ” icon disappears;

3.Stop: when the alarm time is reached and the alarm starts sounding, press “ ” to stop the alarm.The alarm clock will automatically stop after 30 minutes if no response (This will not affect its operation in the next day.)

4.Snooze: the switch should be toggled to NOMAL or LOCK position; press “ ” when the alarm starts sounding, the “ ” and “ ” icon flashes; the alarm snoozes and starts ringing 9 minutes later. (Snooze 5 times at most; the alarm automatically stops after 5 times of continuous snooze.)

5.Brightness setting: press “ ”, the “L-04” flashes. Use “ ” to adjust the brightness, press “ ” to complete the setting, and the “ ” icon appears;

6.Light turns on prior to the alarm time: press “ ”, the “minute” flashes, adjust the minute using “ ”;
*The maximum time for the light to turn on prior to the alarm time is 120 minutes. If you set it to 0 minute, the light will not turn on prior to the alarm time.)

7.After the setting is completed, toggle the switch to NOMAL or Lock mode.

18 Fall-asleep function

1.Fall-asleep ON/OFF/stop/Snooze

1.ON: toggle the switch to NOMAL position, press “ ”, the wake-up time and the “ ” icon in the display flashes for 3 second.

2.OFF: press “ ” again and the “ ” icon disappears.

3.Stop: when the alarm time is reached and the alarm starts sounding, press “ ” to stop the fall-asleep function;
*The alarm clock will automatically stop after 30 minutes if no response and this will not affect its operation in the next day.

4.Snooze: the switch should be toggled to NOMAL or LOCK position; press “ ” when the alarm starts sounding, and the “ ” and “ ”icon flashes; the fall- asleep function delays for 9 minutes. *Delay 5 times at most; the alarm automatically stops after 5 times.

1.Toggle the switch to SET;

2.Hour setting: press“ ” to enter the fall-asleep setting, the “ ” icon and the “hour” on the display flashes; press“ ” to adjust the “hour”;

3.Minute setting: press “ ” to enter the minute setting, the “ ” icon and the “minute” on the display flashes; press “ ” to adjust the “minute”;

4.Sound effect setting: press “ ” to set the sound effect, the “S-01” on the display flashes; use “ ” to choose the “sound”;

6.Light turns on prior to the alarm time: press “ ”, the “minute” flashes, adjust the minute using “ ”;
*The maximum time for the light to turn on prior to the alarm time is 120 minutes. If you set it to 0 minute, the light will not turn on prior to the alarm time.

7.After the setting is completed, toggle the switch to NOMAL or Lock position.

19 Play Function

1.Play alarm ON/OFF/stop/delay

3.Stop: when the play time is reached and the alarm starts sounding, press “ ” to stop the fall-asleep function; *The alarm clock will automatically stop after 30 minutes if no response and this will not affect its operation in the next day.

4.Delay: the switch should be toggled to NOMAL or LOCK position; press “ ” when the play alarm starts sounding; the “ ” and “ ”icon flashes; the play function delays for 9 minutes. *Delay 5 times at most; the alarm automatically stops after 5 times.

20 Nap function

1.Nap ON/OFF

1.ON: toggle the switch to NOMAL, press “ ”, the “ ” icon in the display appears, the nap will be displayed;

2.OFF: press “ ” again and the “ ” icon disappears, the normal time will be displayed;

2.Nap pause/resume

1.Pause: when the nap function is enabled, press “ ” on the top, the nap pauses and the “ ” will be displayed;

2.Resume: press “ ” again to resume the nap.
*If the pause time lasts longer than the setting time, the countdown will automatically stop.

21 Volume/brightness adjustment

When the alarm is activated in NOMAL mode or LOCK mode, the volume and brightness can still be adjusted.

1.When the alarm is sounding, press “ ” to adjust the volume.

2.When the alarm is sounding, press “ / ” to adjust the brightness.

27 Frequently asked questions

1. Why can’t I turn the alarm clock on?
1.Connect the adapter to activate the alarm clock for the first use.

2. Does the alarm clock need to be connected to the adapter all the time to work?
The STC-001-S model does not have a built-in battery, so it needs to be connected to a power supply via USB all the time.

3.Why didn’t the alarms go off?
check the display to confirm there is a wake up alarm icon in the normal mode. Then press the wake up alarm button to check if the set alarm time is correct or the volume is set to S-00.

4. Can the light color be changed?
The light color in wake-up/fall-asleep/nap mode can not be changed, so you can only turn on or off the light; the play mode has changing colorful light, you can also turn on or off the light.

5.How many kinds of sound effect are there and can I change it?
10 kinds of built-in sound effects can be chosen, including 4 fall-asleep sounds, 2 wake-up sounds, 2 play sounds, and 2 countdown sounds. The built-in sound effect can’t be changed.

6.Can I adjust the volume?
There are ten levels of sound volume equipped in the children’s alarm clock. You can press to adjust the sound volume when the alarm rings. The default sound volume cannot be changed.
