★ Function Keys

Press: After pressing the button, release finger immediately.
Long press: After pressing the button, hold it on for 2 or 3 seconds. -
Mode key: Menu/Mode conversion/Back Button. If there is no any special instruction, long pressing Mode key will return to the main menu; pressing Mode key will take you back to the previous step. If it is in the playback interface, press “PLAY” to pause and then press “MODE” to switch between Music Play Interface and Recording Play Interface
Main Interface
Basic Operation
1. Turn On/Off
Switch “ON/OFF button” to “ON”, the device will be automatically turned on; Switch “ON/OFF” button to “OFF”, the device will be automatically turned off Warning:
- The device will go to sleep mode automatically if there’s no operationnot recording, setting or playing) for 2 minutes.
- If holding “PLAY” button for more than 5 seconds, it can also turn to sleep mode.
- If the device is in sleep mode , long press “PLAY”to activate the device.
- Do not turn it off when the device is recording or when you are changing any setting, as it will probably cause the data loss or failing in setting.
- If you find the language is not your target language, long press “MODE” button to enter into system setting> language and select your target language.
2. Recording/Saving/Pause
Press center record button to start recording. After finish recording, press center record button again to save the recording. During recording process, press “PLAY” button to pause the current recording, press again to activate recording.
Warning:
- Please don’t talk to the mic of the device to close when recording, otherwise the sound might be cracking, 30cm away from the recorder recommended.
- If the screen shows the device has no enough space on the disk, please delete some useless files on this unit or connect it to computer to back/delete files at computer for more space.
3. Play/Pause Recording/Music Files
At recording or music playing interface, press “PLAY” to pause current playing, then press “MODE” to switch between recording playing interface and recording playing interface.
At recording/music playing interface, press “PLAY” to play the latest recording/music file and press “PLAY” again to pause the recording/music file.
4. Previous /Next & Fast Forward/Fast Backward
At playback state, press / button to previous/next file
At playback state, long press / button to fast backward/ fast forward
Warning: whether you play recording files or music files, the device is at playback state when it plays files.
5. Volume Up/Down
At playback state, press “VOL” button, the volume symbol at screen flashes, then press / button to turn down/up volume. Press “VOL” to finish volume adjustment.
Advanced Operation
1. Playing Setting
At playback state, long press “MODE” button to enter the playing setting. There are 4 options for setting: Delete files, Playing Mode, Sound Settings and Exit.
Warning: At playing setting, press “PLAY” button to enter setting and confirm, press “MODE” button to back to previous menu, press / button to previous/next option. After press “PLAY” button to confirm any setting, it will exit to previous menu. If there’s no function to set, press “MODE” to exit to previous menu.
1.1 Delete file
There are two options when enter into “Delete file” setting. Choose “Delete” will delete current file you are playing. Choose “Delete All” will delete all file at the device.
Warning:
- After choose setting, please press “PLAY” to confirm the option otherwise this will not be saved.
- You can also delete files on your computer. But please backup the necessary files in advance as deleted files can not be recovered.
- Do not turn off the device or pull out TF card when deleting file to prevent file damages.
1.2 Play mode
There are three options when enter into “Play Mode” setting, namely Repeat 1, Repeat all and Shuffle(random play). You can press / button to select and then press “PLAY” to confirm and exit.
1.3 Sound Setting
1.3.1 Equalizer
There are seven options when enter into “Equalizer” setting: Off, Rock, Funk, Hip Hop, Jazz, Classic and Electronic. You can choose any sound effect you want and then press “PLAY” to confirm and exit.
1.3.2 Variable Speed Playback
“0” is the normal play speed. You can press / slow speed. The number above “0” is fast speed.
1.4 Exit
Choose Exit, the device will be out of playing setting and back to playback state.
1.5 A-B Repeat Setting
At playback state, press “MODE” to start A-B repeat setting. B flashes at screen and this is the start point of the A-B repeat. Press “MODE” again (B stop flashing at screen) until you confirm the end point. The content between start point and the end point will be played repeatedly to realize A-B repeat function. Press “MODE” button can cancel the A-B repeat function.
2. Menu Setting
At recording interface or paused playback state, long press “MODE” to enter into Menu Setting. There are five options for setting : Delete file, File browse, Recording Setting, System setting, Exit.
Warning: At playing setting, press “PLAY” button to enter setting and confirm, press “MODE” button to back to previous menu, press / button to previous/next option. After press “PLAY” button to confirm any setting, it will exit to previous menu. If there’s no function to set, press “MODE” to exit to previous menu.
2.1 Delete file
Please refer to 1.1 at “Playing Setting”.
2.2 File browse
You can find all your files at the device when enter into File browse. There are two file folder Local folder and Card folder if you put a TF card in the device.
2.2.1 Local folder
These are files at the device’s memory storage. Pressing “PLAY” to enter into local folder, there is only “RECORD” folder. Please connect the device with computer and build a folder names “MUSIC” and put music files at this “MUSIC” folder. Press / button to select file and press “PLAY” button to play it. Warning: If the music files are at “RECORD” folder instead of “MUSIC” folder, the device may shows “No files Found” Error when you enter “Music Playing Interface”
2.2.2 Card Folder
These are files stored at your TF card. Pressing “PLAY” to enter into local folder, press / button to select file and press “PLAY” button to play it.
Warning: Card folder only shows when you put in a TF card. Otherwise, when you enter into “File Browse” , the deice only show folders at the local folder.
2.3 Recording Setting
There are seven options at “Recording setting”, namely Record Format, Set rec bit rate, Subsection recording, Voice control mode, Recording monitor, Time recording, Recording scene setting.
Warning: At playing setting, press “PLAY” button to enter setting and confirm, press “MODE” button to back to previous menu, press / button to previous/next option. After press “PLAY” button to confirm any setting, it will exit to previous menu. If there’s no function to set, press “MODE” to exit to previous menu.
2.3.1 Record Format
There are two recording formats: MP3 format and WAV format. Press / button to select format and press “PLAY” button to confirm and exit.
2.3.2 Set rec bit rate
There are four rec bit rates in MP3 format: 32kbps, 64kbps, 128kbps, 192kbps. There are four rec bit rates in WAV format: 512kbps, 768kbps, 1024kbps, 1536kbps. Press / button to select bit rate and press “PLAY” button to confirm and exit.
Warning: The higher the bit rate, the better the recording quality, the larger memory be taken, the shorter continuous recording.
2.3.3 Subsection recording
There are four options for Subsection recording (also named segment recording): 30 minutes, 60 minutes, 120 minutes and off state. Default setting is “off state”. Press / button to select subsection recording time and press “PLAY” button to confirm and exit. Default setting is “off”.
Warning: After you choose subsection recording time, the recording files will be saved at the time you select. For example, if you choose 30 minutes, a recording file will be saved every 30 minutes when recording contentiously.
2.3.4 Voice control mode
Voice control mode is also known as voice activate recording which will start recording as long as the sound is big enough to be detected by the device and stop recording when there is no sound to save power and memory space.
There are two options for setting: Voice operated switch, Voice control sensitivity.
(1) Voice operated switch
Press / button to select “Off” and “On” to turn off/on the voice activated recording function and press “PLAY” button to confirm and exit. Default setting is “off”.
(2) Voice control sensitivity
The device has five voice sensitivity from level 1 to level 5. The higher the voice sensitivity, the more sound can be detected by the device.
2.3.5 Recording monitor
Press / button to select “Off” and “On” to turn off/on the Recording monitor function and press “PLAY” button to confirm and exit. Default setting is “off”.
If you turn on this function, you can hear what is recording now on the device with your headphone. If you turn off the function, you can hear nothing of what’s recording now with your headphone
2.3.6 Time recording
With time recording, you can record any file during selected start time and end time.
There are four options for setting: Recording(on/off), Starting time, Ending time, Time recording cycle
(1) Recording(on/off)
Press / button to select “Off” and “On” to turn off/on the time recording function. Default setting is “off”.
(2) Starting time
Set up start time by pressing / button and press “PLAY” button to confirm and exit.
(3) Ending time
Set up end time by pressing / button and press “PLAY” button to confirm and exit.
(4) Time recording cycle
Pressing / button to select time recording cycle from “Once” to “Daily” to “Working days” and press “PLAY” button to confirm and exit.
2.3.7 Recording scene setting
Press / button to select specific scene for your recording and press “PLAY” button to confirm and exit. 5 scenes are available: Common scene, Scene of Train, Meeting scene, Long range scene, disable noise cancellation.
2.4 System setting
There are 10 options for setting at system setting menu: Sleep timer, Backlight Timer, Contrast ratio, Date and time, Language, Information, Format device, Factory setting, Switch of the password, Modify password.
Warning: At playing setting, press “PLAY” button to enter setting and confirm, press “MODE” button to back to previous menu, press / button to previous/next option. After press “PLAY” button to confirm any setting, it will exit to previous menu. If there’s no function to set, press “MODE” to exit to previous menu.
2.4.1 Sleep timer
Pressing “Play” to enter sleep timer. The default setting is “Off”. If you set up sleep timer, the device will automatically enter into sleep mode if there’s no operation over the minutes you set. Press “PLAY” over 5 seconds to activate it.
Warning: The device will also automatically enter sleep mode when there’s no operation over 2 minutes for saving power
2.4.2 Backlight Timer
Setting backlight time will keep the device’s screen light for the selected backlight if there’s no operation. When the screen is not light, click any button to activate the screen. There are four options: 10 seconds, 20 seconds, 30seconds and always lighting. Press / button to select options and press “PLAY” button to confirm and exit. Warning: please not choose always light to save power.
2.4.3 Contrast ratio
The contrast ratio affects the brightness of the screen. At system setting menu, press “PLAY” to enter setting, press / button to turn up/down the brightness(1-30). The higher the number is, the brighter the screen will be. And then press “PLAY” button to confirm and exit.
2.4.4 Date and time
At system setting menu, press “PLAY” to enter date and time setting. Setting up time first and then date. At time setting, press “VOL” to switch setting between hour(HH) and minute(MM), press / button to adjust time, and then press “PLAY” button to confirm and exit. At date setting, press “VOL” to switch setting from Year(HH) ,Month(MM), Day(DD), press / button to adjust date, and then press “PLAY” button to confirm and exit.
Warning: please set up date and time when you get the device at first time or after you format the device. The file name will named by date and time for easy management.
2.4.5 Language
28 languages available for option. At system setting menu, press “PLAY” to enter Language setting, press / button to select your target language and press “PLAY” button to confirm and exit.
2.4.6 Information
At system setting menu, press “PLAY” to enter into information, you’ll know the device’s version and the available memory space of the device.
2.4.7 Format device
At system setting menu, press “PLAY” to enter Format device setting, press / button to select yes/no, and press “PLAY” button to confirm and exit. If you select “yes”, all files on the device will be deleted. Default setting is “No”. Warning: please do not format device to prevent file loss if unnecessary.
2.4.8 Factory setting
At system setting menu, press “PLAY” to enter Factory setting, press / button to select yes/no, and press “PLAY” button to confirm and exit. If you select “yes”, all the settings will be back to default factory setting. You need set up all settings again.
2.4.9 Switch of the password
At system setting menu, press “PLAY” to enter Switch password setting, press / button to select OFF/ON, and press “PLAY” button to confirm and exit. If you select “ON”, you can set up a 4-digit password at “Modify password” setting. You need to put in password every time you open the voice recorder or open files when connect to computer.
2.4.10 Modify password
You can set up password or change password at “Modify password” setting. At system setting menu, press “PLAY” to enter Modify password setting, press / button to adjust digit number, press “VOL” to switch between 4-digit number, and then press “PLAY” button to confirm and exit. If you want to change password, you need to put in original password before setting a new one.
Warning: If you forget your password, please follow these steps: enter 9999, long press “MODE” button and the password switch will be turned off. You need to turn on the password switch and set up a new password.
3. Connecting to Computer
You can connect the USB cable to the device and plug it into the USB port to connect computer. Files can be transferred and downloaded quickly between the device and computer.
Warning:
- please do not unplug the TF card or the device when transfer files between the device and computer to prevent file damages. And remove the device in the normal way.
- Please use a good quality TF card. New TF card is recommend to get a good playback speed.
4. Charging
The device is powered by the built-in lithium batter. When battery indicator shows empty ” ” at screen, please charge it in time and turn on the device when charging. There are two ways to charge the device.
- Charging with computer. Connect the device directly to computer by USB cable included to charge.
- Charging with the charger. Connect the USB cable to the device and then plug into an adapter for charging. Please use adapter that meets national safety standard to avoid any potential damages. In generally, it takes 2-4 hours before the device is fully charged.
Warning: the device has auto-saving function that will save recording files when power is low or the device turn off suddenly.
