Extras
You can use the Extras sensor to augment the wash programmed.
Quick
The programmed duration is reduced. Mechanical action and energy usage are
increased.
Eco
The Eco Extra helps to save energy. The wash temperature is reduced and the
wash duration is increased in return. The wash programmed continues to provide
excellent results.
Water plus
The water level in the wash and rinse stages is increased. You can select by
how much the water level is increased (see “Settings – Water plus level”).
Extra rinse
An additional rinse cycle can be carried out to give a better rinse result.
Single Wash
For efficiently washing a very small load (< 1 kg) in a normal wash
programmed. The wash duration is reduced. Please note the following advice:
– Use liquid detergent
– Reduce the dosage to a maximum of 50% of the amount quoted for a ½ load
Pre-ironing
In order to reduce creasing, the laundry undergoes a smoothing process at the
end of the programmed. Reducing the maximum load by 50% will give a better
result. Follow the instructions in the display. Small loads give a better
result. The garments must be suitable for drying in a tumble dryer and
suitable for ironing .
Pre-wash
For laundry with large amounts of dirt, e.g. dust and sand.
Soak
For heavily soiled and stained items with protein stains. A duration of
between 30 minutes and 6 hours can be chosen for the soak process. See
“Settings” for more information. The factory default setting is 30 minutes.
Intensive
For hard-wearing laundry that is very heavily soiled. Cleaning efficiency is
increased through more intense mechanical action and the application of more
heat energy. Allegro Wash
This option should be used where high standards of hygiene are required. More
energy is used to lengthen temperature holding times and more water is used to
increase rinsing efficiency. The items must be suitable for drying in a tumble
dryer and suitable for ironing .
Extra gentle
Drum rotation and wash duration are reduced. Lightly soiled fabrics are washed
more gently. Extra quiet This option reduces noise levels during the wash
programmed. Use this if you want to wash during quiet periods (for instance,
when children are sleeping). The final spin is automatically reduced to (Rinse
hold). The programmed duration is increased.
Rinse hold
The laundry is not spun after the final rinse and remains in the rinse water.
This helps prevent creasing if the laundry is not going to be removed from the
drum immediately after the end of the programmed.

Detergent
Cleaning and care
Cleaning the detergent dispenser drawer
Washing at low temperatures and the use of liquid detergent can lead to a
build-up of mold and bacteria in the detergent dispenser drawer.
■ For hygiene reasons, clean the entire drawer at regular intervals even if
you are using the Twin Dos system exclusively.
■ Pull out the detergent dispenser drawer until a resistance is felt.
■ Press down the release button and, at the same time, pull the drawer right
out of the machine.
■ Clean the detergent drawer with warm water.
Cleaning the siphon tube and the fabric softener channel
■ Pull the siphon out of the compartment and clean it under warm running
water.
■ Clean the siphon tube in the same way. Refit the siphon.
■ Clean the fabric softener channel using a brush and warm water.
Liquid starch can cause the siphon to become clogged. Make sure that you clean the siphon and siphon tube particularly thoroughly after using liquid starch a few times.
Cleaning the detergent dispenser drawer housing
■ Use a bottle brush to remove detergent residues and limescale from the jets inside the detergent dispenser drawer housing.
Cleaning the drum (Hygiene info)
Washing at low temperatures and/or using liquid detergents can cause bacteria
and odors to build up in the washing machine. Use the Clean machine programmed
to clean the machine. Note the message in the display:
Hygiene info: Select “Maintenance” and start the “Clean machine” programmed
Cleaning the Twin Dos system
Damage resulting from dried washing detergent. If the system has not been used
for a long time (more than two months), the detergent in the hoses can become
viscous or dry out. The hoses can become blocked and would then need to be
cleaned by a service technician. Clean the Twin Dos system.
To clean the system, a refillable Twin Dos container is required (sold
separately), available online at shop.miele.com.
Problem solving guide
The messages will appear at the end of the programmed and when the washing machine is switched on and need to be confirmed with the OK sensor.
FAQS
How do Miele washing machines provide superior cleaning?
Miele washing machines provide scientifically proven levels of cleanliness, reliably removing over 99.9 of viruses and bacteria and providing safety to you and your loved ones. Keep your fabrics bacteria- and stain-free thanks to exclusive Miele wash programmes. Choose from up to 23 different types of stains and your washer will adjust to optimum pre-wash, runtime, and temperature settings, giving you the best possible chance to save your soiled laundry. Complete the experience with Miele laundry detergent (specifically formulated for Miele washing machines) and an equally celebrated Miele tumble dryer for a harmonious washing ecosystem.
How can a Miele washing machine reduce my energy bills?
Miele washing machines are amongst the most energy-efficient appliances
available. Most of the range is rated A (the highest rating achievable under
the revamped rating scheme), and no appliance is rated lower than B. That’s
why Miele washing machines are ‘ Which Best Buy’ and ‘ Eco Buy’
awarded.
All washing machines from Miele elevate efficiency to exemplary new heights by
never using more water or electricity than necessary. Every model features
intelligent load recognition , capable of analysing the current load and
optimising output accordingly.
It can often be difficult to gauge the precise impact your appliances have on
your utilities. Miele removes the guessing games from your budgeting with
EcoFeedback. Accurate consumption forecasts are provided pre-wash, with
precise data available once the cycle has concluded. Make informed decisions
regarding what’s best for your home with Miele.
How is the longevity of Miele washing machines assured?
Essential appliances have a nasty habit of giving up the ghost at the worst
times. That’s why all Miele washing machines and appliances available online
are tested for 20 years of average use. That’s 10,000 hours of performance
testing (triple the stress-testing of some car engines). When you buy a
washing machine online from Miele, you’re investing in the future.
Such unprecedented longevity is achieved through one-of-a-kind engineering.
The ProfiEco motor, used in all washing machines by Miele, adopts a brushless
design to eliminate the gradual wear other motors experience. Along with a
trio of shock absorbers, the ProfiEco motor also allows for extra-quiet
performance. Miele is also the only manufacturer to use cast iron
counterweights to avoid gradual damage or erosion – ensuring your appliance
continuously delivers high performance through the years of stains to come.
How do Miele washing machines protect my fabrics?
When you buy a Miele washing machine online, you are purchasing from a brand
that truly cares about your clothes. The exclusive honeycomb drum is the
shining jewel of any Miele washer; the unique web-like structure creates a
thin layer of water on the surface of the drum, which then acts as a gentle
cushion as your laundry is spun. The smaller holes in the drum also help to
prevent piling in cottons and laddering in delicate clothing, such as tights.
Specific programs are even available for less commonly washed textiles, those
that you’re never quite sure are ‘washer safe’. Plump and soften both
synthetic and down-based bedwear, remove dust and dirt from curtains and other
thick textiles, take your washable trainers for a gentle spin without worrying
about causing damage to the shoe or the appliance. Whatever you need, Miele
has you covered.
