Safety and Compliance Information for Echo Connect
Use Responsibly. Read all instructions and safety information before use.

911 Limitations
This device builds on and is not a replacement for your traditional telephone service. This device will not function in the event of a power or broadband outage or other connectivity issues. If this device is used to call emergency numbers like 911, the location information given to the emergency service, if any, may be the address associated with the phone line connected to your device, which may not be the same as the location of your Echo device.
Maintaining Your Echo Connect
Do not use this device in rain, or near sinks or other wet or highly humid locations. Take care not to spill any food or liquid on this device. Clean the device with a soft cloth and avoid using liquids or harsh chemicals that may damage it.
Only use the included power adapter and other inbox accessories with your Echo Connect. Use of third party accessories may impact your Echo Connect’s performance. In limited circumstances, use of third party accessories may void your Echo Connect’s limited warranty. Read all safety instructions for any accessories before using with your Echo Connect.
Your Echo Connect does not have an on/off button. If you wish to stop power from flowing into your device, unplug the power adapter. Do not force the power adapter into a power outlet. If the power adapter or other inbox accessories appear damaged, discontinue use immediately. Do not plug multiple electric devices into the same wall socket. Overloading a socket can cause it to overheat and may result in a fire.
Your Echo Connect may get warm during normal use. To reduce the effect of the warming, place your Echo Connect on a heat resistant surface.

Faulty service may void the warranty.
Other Safety Considerations
- Your device is shipped with an AC adapter. Your Echo Connect should only be charged using the AC adapter and USB cable included with the device, or another USB cable approved for use with your Echo Connect, with a compatible AC adapter.
- Do not expose adapter, cables or other inbox accessories to liquids.
- If the adapter, cable or other inbox accessories appear damaged, discontinue use immediately.
- Power adapter designed only for use with Echo Connect.
- Do not touch your Echo Connect or any wires connected to your Echo Connect during a lightning storm.
- Small parts contained in your device and its accessories may present a choking hazard to small children.
Using Your Echo Connect Around Other Electronic Devices
Echo Connect generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency (RF) energy and, if not used in accordance with its instructions, may cause interference to radio communications and electronic equipment. External RF signals may affect improperly installed or inadequately shielded electronic operating systems, entertainment systems, and personal medical devices. While most modern electronic equipment is shielded from external RF signals, if in doubt, check with the manufacturer. For personal medical devices (such as pacemakers and hearing aids), consult with your physician or the manufacturer to determine if they are adequately shielded from external RF signals.
FCC Compliance Statement and Other Information
The Echo Connect and its related accessories (the “Products”) comply with part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation of each Product is subject to the following two conditions: (1) this Product may not cause harmful interference and (2) this Product must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.
Note: This Product has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device or external switching power supply, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. The equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:
-Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
-Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
-Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.
-Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.
Changes or modifications to a Product by the user that are not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could make the Product no longer comply with the FCC Rules.
The Echo Connect meet the FCC Radio Frequency Emission Guidelines and are certified with the FCC. Information on these Products is on file with the FCC and can be found by inputting such Product’s FCC ID (which can be found on the bottom of the Echo Connect) into the FCC ID Search form available at transition.fcc.gov/oet/ea/fccid.
Information Regarding Exposure to Radio Frequency Energy
The output power of the radio technology used in the Products is below the radio frequency exposure limits set by the FCC. This device should be installed and operated with a minimum distance of 20cm between the radiator and your body.
FCC Part 68 ACTA
This equipment complies with Part 68 of the FCC rules and the requirements adopted by the ACTA. On the bottom of this equipment is a label that contains, among other information product identifier in the format US:V64W404AA05B83. If requested, this number must be provided to the telephone company. This equipment uses the following standard jack type for network connection: RJ11C.
This equipment contains an FCC compliant modular jack. It is designed to be connected to the telephone network or premises wiring using compatible modular plugs and cabling which comply with the applicable FCC Part 68 rules and requirements adopted by the ACTA. The Ringer Equivalence Number, or REN, is used to determine the number of devices which may be connected to a telephone line. Excessive RENs on a telephone line may cause the equipment not to ring in response to an incoming call. In most but not all areas, the sum of the RENs of all equipment on a line should not exceed five (5.0). To be certain of the number of devices that may be connect to a line, as determined by the total RENs, contact the local telephone company. The REN for this product is part of the product identifier that has the format US:AAAEQ##TXXXX. In the event that this equipment causes harm to the telephone network, the telephone company can temporarily disconnect you service. The telephone company will try to warn you in advance of any such disconnection, but if advance notice isn’t practical, it may disconnect the service first and notify you as soon as possible afterwards. In the event such a disconnection is deemed necessary, you will be advised of your right to file a complaint with the FCC.
From time to time, the telephone company may make changes in its facilities, equipment, or operations which could affect the operation of this equipment. If this occurs, the telephone company will provide you with advance notice so you can make the modifications necessary to obtain uninterrupted service. If the equipment is causing harm to the telephone network, the telephone company may request that you disconnect the equipment until the problem is resolved. If your home has specially wired alarm equipment connected to the telephone line, ensure the installation of this product does not disable your alarm equipment. If you have questions about what will disable alarm equipment, consult your telephone company or a qualified installer.
The Telephone Consumer Protection Act of 1991 makes it unlawful for any person to use a computer or other electronic device, including FAC machines, to send any message via a telephone unless such message clearly contains, in a margin at the top or bottom of each transmitted page or on the first page of the transmission, the date and time it is sent and an identification of the business, other entity, or individual sending the message and the telephone number of the sending machine or of such business, other entity, or individual. The telephone number provided may not be a 900 number or any other number for which charges exceed local or long distance transmission charges. This equipment cannot be used on public coin phone service provided by the telephone company. Connection to Party Line Service is subject to state tariffs. Contact your state public utility commission, public service commission, or corporation commission for more information.

One Year Limited Warranty
This Warranty for the Echo Connect (the “Device”) is provided by Amazon Fulfillment Services, Inc., 410 Terry Ave. North, Seattle, WA 98109-5210, United States. The provider of this warranty is sometimes referred to herein as “we”.
We warrant the Device against defects in materials and workmanship under ordinary consumer use for one year from the date of original retail purchase. During this warranty period, if a defect arises in the Device, and you follow the instructions for returning the Device, we will at our option, to the extent permitted by law, either (i) repair the Device using either new or refurbished parts, (ii) replace the Device with a new or refurbished Device that is equivalent to the Device to be replaced, or (iii) refund to you all or part of the purchase price of the Device. This limited warranty applies, to the extent permitted by law, to any repair, replacement part or replacement device for the remainder of the original warranty period or for ninety days, whichever period is longer. All replaced parts and Devices for which a refund is given shall become our property. This limited warranty applies only to hardware components of the Device that are not subject to accident, misuse, neglect, fire or other external causes, alterations, repair, or commercial use.

In general, you will need to deliver your Device in either its original packaging or in equally protective packaging to the address specified by Customer Service. Before you deliver your Device for warranty service, it is your responsibility to back up any data, software, or other materials you may have stored or preserved on your Device. It is possible that such data, software or other materials will be lost or reformatted during service, and we will not be responsible for any such damage or loss.
Limitations. TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE WARRANTY AND REMEDIES SET FORTH ABOVE ARE EXCLUSIVE AND IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES AND REMEDIES, AND WE SPECIFICALLY DISCLAIM ALL STATUTORY OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND AGAINST HIDDEN OR LATENT DEFECTS.
